The waterfall is still beautiful though! As mentioned in other reviews, I would highly recommend making your reservation online before your visit. Try to get the earliest time slot available. Also, wear good walking shoes and bring enough water! It seems like the way you get to Seven Falls has changed quite a bit. I don't remember having to park downhill and take a shuttle to the entrance. The walk to the waterfall, although still beautiful, also feels narrower and more developed than I remember. There are more walkways and structures along the way, which make the experience feel a little more tourist-oriented, or, as I kept thinking, a little "Disneyfied." It's still a beautiful walk, but perhaps not quite as natural or rustic as I remember it from 30 years ago. We went on a Sunday morning in September, and the weather was beautiful. We arrived shortly after 9 a.m. and had no trouble finding parking. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for the next shuttle. If you purchased your tickets ahead of time, they simply scan them while you're waiting in line, so the process was very quick. The shuttle drops you off by the big fence. From there, you walk to the waterfall. It is an uphill walk, but not too steep, and the walkway follows alongside a beautiful stream. Along the way, there is a tunnel you can walk through, with an elevator at the end that takes you to a viewpoint and gift shop. There is also a staircase outside the tunnel that takes you to the same place. You can take the elevator back down or choose to use the stairs. After some more walking, you reach the waterfall. There is a seating area at the bottom where you can relax and enjoy the view. There are 224 stairs to climb if you want to get to the top of the waterfall, but that part is optional. You can admire the waterfall from the bottom. The stairs to the top are definitely tiring! Use the handrails whenever you can, and don't hesitate to stop and rest if you need to. Once you reach the top, there are two trails you can take for further exploration--one is shorter (20 min. round trip) and the other is longer (40 min.). There are signs to guide you. All of the staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful.

The place is massive and worth the price. I ordered tickets online a few weeks prior just in case, but as we arrived, there were no lines to get in. They have designated dog days, which was so fun. During these days, dogs are able to roam the park as well. We came around the time where it was very humid and hot and they have fans with Miss blowers everywhere which was nice. I was able to feed the giraffes for a dollar for a bunch of lettuce. Please continue to support the Cheyenne Mountain zoo. This place is amazing and it looks like they are also continuing to expand as well. There was a lot of construction, but it is very well kept!

I understand the people who come just for the day to go to the water park but I am already here. * Then, why is the water park not opening until 10am. I understand that for people coming just for the day but if I'm staying at the hotel I expect to get into the water park earlier. * The beds were very uncomfortable. WARNING - Be prepared to spend money on everything. You can buy packages to get all the other activities but it doesn't get you much. This was probably a one and done experience.

We rode the train first--a short but cute ride--and then made our way through the town. She loved checking out all of the buildings, as well as seeing how they were decorated inside. So many dolls and scenes! The playground is sparse and outdated, but of course we had to spend a little time there. Our only negative experience was with the woman working the register in the gift shop. We were buying something, and my daughter picked up a little trinket that you're supposed to turn over + watch the bubbles move. Instead of just asking her to put it down (again: it's for playing with! And it was right in front of her face!) she ripped it out of her hands. While this doesn't classify as touching someone else's kid, it was close enough for me. Overall, a 4-star experience! I'm glad we took the time to go.

This was a fun time & an easy to plan event! To make a reservation you need at least eight racers…read more (Spectators can come & watch, no charge.) We had ten racers & a group of spectators. Each racer got two 12 lap races, food & drink, one hour reserved seating, arcade tokens & top finishers got medals - plus all racers got to race together with a reserved time. The price was about $80 per racer. We paid separately for additional food for spectators. These go carts are electric, so no smell & pretty quiet. A few things to note, racers need to be at least 48 inches tall & if you have more than twelve racers you then split into two groups. Also, K1 has an Arrive & Drive option for just racing, it's first come first serve. The day we went was for a birthday. After checking in racers registered & signed waivers after which they got balaclavas & helmets. Instructions were given but it was rather hard to hear. Our racers had a blast...they loved it - it was a great experience. Right after racing our lunch was ready, it was served buffet style. We choose Cheese & Pepperoni Pizzas, BBQ & Buffalo Chicken Wings & soft drinks. There were no salad or vegan options. The pizza was good, however the wings were even better & delicious. Since we were a big group we had a private party room. The only outside food allowed was dessert. Our party ran smoothly, the staff was friendly & very helpful. All in all a great time!
