CYB is the most amazing studio in Arroyo Grande, it's quaint but they really do offer so much. All the instructors I've had have been kind, welcoming and although I'm a beginner, I always feel challenged and walk out of class feeling euphoric with a newfound love and appreciation for my body and this life. I really loved taking spin with Chelsea and recently have been obsessed with their hot yoga classes!! I love taking Balance with Claire and I especially love flow with SKYLER!! I was in town for a week on business and needed a short-term gym membership somewhere. I usually default to Planet Fitness (there are two in the area) but I happily found this place. I teach cycle at a high-end club and I can be particularly snooty about other gyms and instructors. This place is real nice and has terrific customer service. Super clean and well organized, I would definitely patronize again if I come back. The app works well to book classes and communication from the gym is frequent. There are a variety of packages to buy and I was fortunate to get the 5 class card at half off the list due to an upcoming open house (I would have happily paid full boat otherwise). I was waitlisted for two of the five classes, but got into them without issue. There are two showers available and only had to wait once for one, otherwise they are hardly used. If they should ever expand into my hood, I would attend to just break up my routine. Take a class or two and you'll see for yourself. read more

I love this yoga studio. I haven't tried Barre or Cycling. The "hot" yoga is done less hot (92-94) than other places which makes it accessible for me. Hotter and I overheat in a not-good way. I have been practicing yoga for years on my own and recently decided to brave a studio again. I took a hot yoga class with Anne Marie Woodward and was extremely pleased. I was a bit nervous about going back having not practiced in front of anyone but the dog for years, but Anne Marie made me feel incredibly comfortable. She took care to find me a spot that wasn't in front and gave me an easier alternative on a pose when I needed one without drawing attention to me. After class I felt more relaxed and refreshed than I have in ages. The studio is very clean and comfortable with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. CYB became my home studio the moment I walked in. It is so beautifully designed and well thought out. I have a history with boutique gyms so I have developed a taste for quality workout studios. When I look for gyms I look for researched-based workouts, hands-on adjustments, accountability, friendly staff, experienced teachers, clean showers and basic accommodations. CYB has all of this and then some! My very first class was a Barre class taught by the studio owner herself, Stephanie. She was consistently watching our forms and making adjustments or suggestions when needed. She teaches in a way that avoids all possible injuries which means that she holds her teachers accountable for the same practice. Being a competitive dancer, I look for a studio who offers science-based workouts with constant hands-on adjustments in order to keep my body safe and injury-free. When the 45 minutes was over I was in tears because I had just found what I have been looking for, for so long. I signed up immediately. I could write a book about why you need this gym in your life but I'll wrap things up... Barre: Tones your legs, calves, glutes, and muscles you didn't know existed. Builds your abs and lower back while training you to keep them engaged while working out. I like to think of this as a prerequisite for yoga and spin. Spin: 30-45 mins of "give it all you got cardio", also known as my antianxiety medication. Kicks your butt, and makes you work harder than your bike at home... I promise. Yoga: You need it. So this is a pretty embarrassing review for me, but it's absolutely necessary in order to praise CYB studios. I came in this morning to inquire about classes and becoming a member. I was greeted by an amazing staff, Jose and fitness instructor Corlese. I immediately felt right at home and signed up for a membership. There was a spin class starting and open seats available so I decided To give it a try. Anne Marie had all my favorite jams playing and let's just say in my competitive nature, I pushed myself a little too hard. I felt faint toward the end of class and yelled for Anne Marie to help me off my bike(lol).I had 4 staff members that helped me breathe and come to, providing me with Gatorade and candy to get my blood sugar up. Side note: I didn't eat or wear proper attire. Also add in that I haven't worked out in over two years(hehe). Y'all.. this was MORTIFYING but the treatment I received from everyone at CYB made it that less humiliating. They were kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and encouraging. I'm definitely coming back and I'll wear my name proudly as "the girl who almost passed out in spin class". LOL!! read more

Oh my goodness this is my most favorite fitness studio on the central coast! Employees are super sweet, the facilities are crazy clean and the classes and the music are phenomenal. You can book online with the user friendly app and you get to pick your bike in advance. No more queuing up outside the door (as another fitness studio does) to snag your fave bike. I loved this studio before the virus outbreak (I was a newbie), but the way they've cared for and stayed engaged with their clients during this social distancing time and their brick-and-mortar closure is what makes them truly worth five stars! The owner, Stephanie, is so interactive and has really kept us feeling like a community via social media. Since the actual studio is closed, she DELIVERED the spin bikes FROM THE STUDIO to clients so we could take spin On-Demand until everything opens up again. She also put together rental kits so that people could have access to weights, bands, blocks, and balls while in isolation. I mean, that is truly above and beyond. I cannot WAIT to be back in the studio with all the amazing teachers. This place truly attracts the best kind of people. read more

I chose CYB Studios because I'm looking for healthy ways to get out of the house and be around people, and they advertised a 3-class special for the new year. I don't usually do yoga --- I've had some rough teachers, and sometimes the clientele is too trendy for my taste -- but I work out daily at home with both cardio and weights, so I am a person in good shape, especially for my age (67). I chose the "Y26" class because I was told it was the closest thing to "restorative yoga". This class is held first thing on Monday mornings at 8:30. Parking was no problem at all; the studio is on the edge of a large parking lot. You can bring your own towel and mat or rent (first time is free). The studio was open when I arrived early and I was greeted with a smile and a friendly face. I was shown around the super clean space -- there are lockers or bins for your stuff, benches for taking shoes on and off, and immaculate (co-ed) restroom and sink area. The Y26 teacher came out and greeted me; she knew it was my first time, and told me what to expect. The yoga studio fits maybe 20 people, and spots get reserved ahead of time. This was a hot yoga class, which I wasn't sure about, but I was up for trying it. The class was challenging for me, simply because I'm not so used to twisting, balancing, or sitting on my ankles, but I had known those things were coming and I know how to modify. The best thing about my experience was that I felt no judgement whatsoever. The class size makes for a very personal feeling, and the somewhat dim lights and heat keeps one relaxed. I sensed the others around me -- some were very good; some -- like me -- were doing their best. Overall, I had a positive experience and will be back. read more

I love this studio. I have been a member of a few others in the area. However, they either didn't offer spin classes or they were so large that the classes were difficult to get into. The look of CYB is what drew me in. It was so clean and sleek - I love the teal and black! The spin classes are offered at a variety of times and are a few different lengths. I love them all! The fact that there are arm sequences in the 45 minutes classes is an added bonus. I'm also a big fan of the bikes tracking watts and RPMs and displaying them on the screens in the spin room. It's awesome motivation, and when you add the lights and the bumping music, I challenge you not to get excited and get breathless. The staff is super nice, and the instructors know what they are doing. I have told so many friends to join, and the fact that some go there as well provides such a wonderful community. I am thrilled that CYB opened in Arroyo Grande. The studio is beautiful. The instructors are great, knowledgeable and friendly, as in they know you by name on day-2 friendly. I've enjoyed all the classes I've taken so far: spin, barre, yoga sculpt, and yoga. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that they heat the room to 85 for yoga classes. Warm yoga was something I missed living in this area. I was super excited that the owner Stephanie was able to pivot so quickly and offer online classes for a reasonable monthly fee during the shelter-in-place period. I've loved keeping active with CYB on-demand, and enjoy the free live classes on Instagram too. Can't wait till I can get back to CYB in person though! read more

Amazing well-trained staff that teach motivating classes. Their yoga classes are heated and feel amazing. The cycling classes are such a fun way to work out. The teachers switch up the music and moves so that you don't feel like you're taking the same class over and over again. During COVID-19 they have done such a good job at keeping their members informed on their procedures and updates, and they quickly adapted to offering On Demand Classes and classes live on social media. I had never taken a cycle, yoga, or barre class in my life. But when this new studio opened up down the street, I needed to check it out. I am SO thankful I did! The owner, Stephanie, is so incredibly helpful and passionate. She is tough in fitness but so encouraging! The whole staff is phenomenal. They're all very knowledgeable.
