From candy, fruits and veggies... Fresh or frozen seafood. Aisle after aisle after aisle and stacked high. Friendly service and tons of parking even in a busy strip mall. It's clean and relaxed. I wouldn't hesitate to drop in again for my Hi-Chews.

So, me and the other girl on my crew decided to check out the local 99 Ranch market deli. I know they have good food to go and you get to see the food before you order it! Some of the selections are quite authentic ... like chicken feet and deep fried little smelt fish or one dim selection that looked like white jello something. There other "normal" looking stuff too, like all the noodles and stir fries as well as I love the BBQ meats, like duck and BBQ pork and the deals they have on fried chicken! I got a bunch of food to go, and what we don't eat, I'm sure the guys on the crew will finish! I got some BBQ pork buns, BBQ pork spare ribs and fried chicken. I skipped the duck this time. All the food tasted wonderful as expected. The buns could have been warmer, but that's what a zap in the microwave is for at the hotel. We enjoyed the food and it was no hassle to get. Basically point and they get it for you, unless you speak Chinese!

We also take advantage of the "deli" for pretty decent Chinese food and some dim sum items. So today we arrived at around 8:20 had a wealth of close parking spots to choose from . We typically don't buy a lot of frozen prepared foods when we shop, but 168 has such a good supply of dumplings and the like we couldn't avoid buying a bunch. We bought the typical veggies, produce and the like. Hit up the dried noodle section as well as restocking our sauces and seasonings. We also hit up the bakery and got two loaves of their "special" bread. One loaf was their "side sliced" which means that they sell just the thin edge pieces all together in a loaf size package. So maybe not for everyone, but it makes great toast, thin and crunchy. Since we hadn't eaten a big breakfast, we took a number and ordered a combo meal, some congee and 4-5 dim sum items. Quick service, reasonable price and we actually had a pretty good brunchish meal. Authentic Cantonese and Mandarin with a touch of Szechuan ... not world class but good selection and certainly several steps above the typical fast Chinese food found at the panda places. (Didn't take pictures as we were too busy eating. By the way, the dining area was spotless. So all in all, filled up our shopping cart, had breakfast and out the door in an hour.

They also offer a lot of fresh and frozen seafood. You can find a lot of groceries from all over the word here. They also sell some home decor, some kitchenware, and live bamboo plants and an assortment of Asian Pots and Asian Ceramics. This isn't a fancy place and also seems a bit worn. When you walk in you can the remains of a restaurant that is no longer in business. This place is great but- There is so much stuff that it is actually hard to find the things that you are looking for. I also didn't notice signs to direct you to particular countries or even continents. The biggest problem with shopping here are the very tight aisles. If you see someone with a cart there isn't enough room to go around them. Checking out can be challenging for some because it is like a maze with all kinds of things in your way so you have to figure it out. They also have a lot of merchandise that you don't see it until you are on the way out.
