Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

After our initial photographer indicated there…read morewould be a high chance she couldn't show, we moved quick to secure a new photographer just a month before the wedding. It was important to us to find a quality photographer with an eye for some of the artsy/moody photos we were hoping for. Enter Eve who really did come and save the day. From the moment we met, she was so kind and showed a true interest in getting to know us as a couple. She was an absolute rock star during our wedding. We had a larger wedding (150 ppl) and she handled it with grace; always staying patient but giving direction confidently when need be. One of our favorite things Eve did was our private vows. We were considering scrapping it as it might be too complicated logistically, but Eve knew how important that time would later be and moved quick to find a quiet spot to make it happen. That really set the tone for my now wife and I, and was one of our most cherished moments on our wedding day. And the photos! We just received our full gallery and they're so beautiful! We feel so lucky to have worked with Eve. I would absolutely recommend her and hope to work with her again some day. Thank you Eve!

As an LGBTQ+ wedding, she made us feel totally at ease, included, and best of all - special! We booked Eve for our June 2024 wedding after meeting her at a friends' wedding and from the jump we connected with each other and I knew she was going to be perfect for our wedding. Eve is a great communicator and was fun to work with. We organized an incredible engagement shoot and it was delightful to see Eve's creativity at work. The shots turned out amazingly too, and we received rave reviews from family and friends! For the wedding itself, Eve sent an easy worksheet for us to complete of all family / friend photos, along with some helpful tips for how to stay hydrated and prepared the day-of. At the wedding, Eve made us feel at easy and never asked for too much. We also had plenty of time to actually enjoy the evening! And to top if off, the photographs perfectly capture the energy and mood of the event! Thank you Eve!

Kristina comprehends what goes through the psyche of a typical woman prior to a boudoir shooting…read more She has devised an effective way to prime you the week before the shooting all the way to the day of! Firstly, through all of her communications (text l, emails, phone calls), she walks you through what happens during the entire process. I appreciated this so I knew what to anticipate in advance. She makes you feel comfortable sharing any of your concerns and asking her any questions, she takes her time and cares. She really makes it easier providing advice on your selection of clothing, what looks good on you and on the camera and what may not, so you have and idea what to shop for. It is apparent that she's been doing this for a long time, you get to the location, everything is ready to go and she makes you feel right at home. Kristina greeted me with a welcome gift with well thought out goodies. Her hairdresser/makeup artist, Jenn, was the best! Kristina informed Jenn of my idea for hair and makeup, so Jenn already had an idea on what to do for me and just asked me a few questions. The outcome whoa, Jenn was so spot on with the look I was trying to capture, I loved it! Kristina and Kelly, Assistant, styled my 4 outfits and shoes, determining what would look optimal for me. Kristina even had delicious refreshments to keep us fed during the 4 hours. Boy did that 4 hours go by fast! The Joshua Tree location was spectacular with a beautiful pool and the beautiful desert landscaping in the backyard, most importantly it was private. The best part was taking the pictures. Kristina is fun, funny, walks you through what to do, plays music and has a proactive way to make you feel comfortable, that you even get goofy. From her Gallery in her website, she has taken so many awesome shots, which is why I decided to go with her. Besides, she makes you feel like a badass during the shoot. I can't wait to see my pictures! Thank you Kristina for the positive energy, the great experience and hospitality!

We wanted to have a couple session for our 5 years anniversary and I thought straight away to ask Kristina to capture some photos of us. As a photographer myself, it was hard to find a photographer that I could trust: I needed to know that the end result would be exceptional and that we would both feel comfortable during the session. Kristina exceeded all my (very high) expectations! The communication with her was easy, we had the time of our life during the session and we were absolutely wowed by the final photos. I cannot wait to frame a couple for our house. Kristina made me feel super sexy and beautiful, and my husband was super natural in front of her lense. I'm very grateful for booking such an amazing photographer to record the precious memory of our fifth anniversary. Thank you Kristina!
