This is the only CVS in Warrenton bc they closed down the other one about 5 years ago. It's a shit show. The drive through takes anywhere from 10-50 min to get through. The traffic backs up into the street causing cars to be blocked in that are just trying to get down the street. The clerks are sometimes nice, but often not. There is little customer service available at any time. They don't have good hours. You may have waited 30 mins in line, but if it hits lunchtime, they slam the window in your face. You have to have anyone behind you back out so you can do the same. When these issues are brought up with management, you are told that it's company policy. Why don't we all go somewhere else? Because many insurance companies will only participate with CVS pharmacies. You're put over a barrel. I guess you could use the next closest CVS, 30 mins away. read more

They are very disorganized and I always get a different story about the status of my prescriptions every time I speak to them. My old pharmacy transferred all my prescriptions over to them, yet every time I call for a refill, they claim they don't see it on my file. They also claim I have two profiles, which I asked them to delete the old one cuz it's causing confusion. They said they would, yet they didn't. They always argue with me about my prescriptions and I always end up having to call my doctor, for them to call CVS and straighten things out. It's always a problem every single time I go! Last month came from urgent care. I questioned the in expense of my prescriptions because it should've been more. Said nope that's what it is. I didn't get better because they didn't give me my medication that was prescribed for me. So here I am back at urgent care came back here to pick up my prescription. They have had me wait almost an hour. They don't have my prescription again. Then state they do have only one month because they got it from another patient. A week ago I came inside to get allergy meds and it was 15 people in front of me. Transferring all my prescriptions to Harris Teeter. They give us discounts And I won't be back to CVS this is this is terrible!!! How do you not tell somebody that they're not getting all of their medications when they're so sick picking up medication's and they get only four of the five they're supposed to have. If there was a way to give zero I would. My husband and I have never been to a pharmacy that causes so much stress on refilling prescriptions. Called the Warrenton CVS automated pharmacy service to refill a prescription, says it can't be refilled until a certain date. CVS wouldn't allow a refill to be done (had 2 refills left on the prescription) until there was only 3 days left of medicine. Called on the date could refill. System says refill has been submitted. Receive the text saying prescription is ready. Go the next day to pick it up and we're told that the prescription expired the day before and they did not refill it to begin with. This is all within a 3 day period - from refill to driving to CVS for pickup. Why was a text message sent saying it's ready for pickup? No one, within this 3 day period, in the pharmacy department, was capable of picking up the phone to call and say we are not able to fill please call the doctor to get a new prescription sent in. How sad is it that customer service has become a lost art and the pharmacist there at the Warrenton CVS couldn't care less what emotional stress they are causing. How did they even become a pharmacist? Sadly this wasn't the first time the Warrenton CVS did this to us. But, it was definitely the last. Won't ever use them again. read more

Today I called to transfer a prescription from my current pharmacy to Cvs , unfortunately the phone was answered by a automated machine that demanded my birth date told me that I had no account with them and that they could not help me , I called again thinking that this has got to be some kind of mistake I tried everything I could but did not get the pharmacy and was told to leave a message , so I just gave up , sometimes there are reasons people can' wait for a return call that may not happen at all . I'll have to go to another pharmacy I figure if this is how they operate I don't want any future dealings with them in regard to any of my prescriptions or services . This was the most ignorant thing I've ever seen demanding my information that I did give them and they told me I have no account there of course I don't have an account there, if I did it was very long ago before businesses became so inconsiderate that they use automated machines like this. I have no idea who's asinine idea this was but I don't see it increasing customers coming to the store and I think it's very poor, & disrespecful customer service , and I did try Target who is also CVS but they have become just as absurd so they've lost my business as well I will make sure that everybody I know knows about this and hopefully they'll follow suit people don't need to be treated like this especially when they may be ill and need their prescriptions. Well I'm finally done with CVS. They used to work for me when I could speak to a pharmacist. Recent changes to the automated phone system don't let me do that anymore. It only lets me leave a message. I've left two messages in the past two week, neither was returned. So now I've SWITCHED to Costco mail order and CANCELLED my monthly shopping membership at CVS. What a JOKE that someone believes customers will accept speaking to an automated system about a topic as important and complex as their prescription medication. I'm out. read more

My wife fell today bad enough that we now get to go see a hand surgeon. We had a prescription sent to Walgreens, but they closed 8 minutes before we got there. Called the doctor who sent a prescription to CVS for a couple of pills to get her through the night. The pharmacy at CVS said they couldn't fill it since the Walgreens already had one. It didn't matter when I explained, they didn't want to hear it. It didn't matter that we haven't had any pain medication prescribed for over seven years. Basically they do not appear to care about the people who are in legitimate need, so much for the Hippocratic oath. Not looking forward to the night with no pain medication for my wife. read more

I am so frustrated with this pharmacy. Last month, my MIL passed, I tried to get my prescription before I left; they said they could not fill it, but I could go to a CVS in WV and get my prescription filled on that Friday. I also sent an email to them and got a call back saying the same thing. I go to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription to find out they cannot transfer my prescription. Doctor is not in, so after 2 hours and many phone calls, somehow, CVS was magically able to transfer the prescription. Fast forward to today, my prescription has been filled in WV because they transferred all of it. And now say they cannot transfer it back and I have no refills. So now, doctor's office is closed and I have one pill left. This location made zero effort to do anything while the pharmacy in WV at the Meadowbrook went out of their way to help. So this location should take a lesson or two from them, because they suck! This was their screw up, not mine; customer service is severely lacking. read more

This is the worst operated pharmacy I've patronized. Every time I come here, inside or drive through, it's unreasonably slow. Regardless of when the prescription is ordered, it's never ready upon arrival. Today, I went inside to try and dodge the drive through. After waiting 15 minutes in line, I get to the counter and they say (as always) we'll rush your order and it will be 15-20 minutes. I said, I ordered it yesterday, the response is "they're busy". So I come back, 30 minutes later and now I'm sitting in the drive through line for another 30+ minutes (I'm typing this in line and am still not to the window). You're not busy, you're inefficient and run by incompetents. Walgreens doesn't have this issue and that's where I'll be taking my business. read more

They give me the wrong amount every month and when called 6 times over 2 1/2 weeks by me and who knows how many times by physician and his office staff my doctor asked me to take my business elsewhere. Today I went to pick up some medicine for my mom and there was a guy that was white, tall, with blue eyes that was so rude to me and my mom (I didn't get his name) There was also a black girl that told us we needed to wait 10 minutes but we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes. If you are looking for a pharmacy that can actually fill your prescription and have it ready when promised keep looking because the only time that will happen at the Warrenton CVS is by accident. After a Drs visit in Warrenton I recently needed to have a Rx transferred from another pharmacy in Warrenton that was not "in-network". I called CVS and was told they would do the transfer and the Rx would be ready in about 30 minutes. I drove over 45 minutes later only to be told there was no record of my Rx in their system and that I needed to go to the drop off window so they could figure it out. After waiting in line for another 10 minutes I was told that they hadn't yet called to have the Rx transferred but would get to it "within the next half hour" and then they tried to blame the other pharmacy -- the same one they hadn't bothered to call! At this point I was so fed up I left and called the pharmacy in Culpeper that I normally use and they took care of the transfer and had it ready for me when I arrived. Even driving 30 minutes out of my way was STILL faster than waiting for CVS to just make the transfer, heavens knows how much longer it would have taken them to actually get it ready -- they told someone else two hours for a refill, so I'm guessing it would have been something similar for mine. I realize that sometimes a pharmacy can be busy, but they had about a dozen employees so they can't blame staffing. They should blame themselves because they didn't bother to even try to make the transfer in the first 45+ minutes but then tried to blame the other pharmacy. The inability to accept accountability speaks volumes and leaves me wondering about both the management and training. I have filled a family member's Rx at the Walgreens in Warrenton just a couple blocks away and they are a thousand times better. Go there. Or really anywhere else. Just don't bother with the CVS in Warrenton unless you are looking to read all of War & Peace while you wait. read more

Is there a minus star option? ordered refill through the app and then received a text confirming RX was ready to pick up. Stood in line and then told "not ready yet". I asked why a text confirmation? "Oh I have no idea. On good day it works" I asked how do I know it's a good day or not? "Oh I have no idea". I think we have found the mantra for CVS on Blackwell Road..."I have no idea". I've been using the Warrenton CVS for almost 10 years, I still use it for obvious reasons. Yes, sometimes my script is not ready yet - but in what world does that make the workers incompetent? Oh no....I have to wait 20 minutes every once in awhile... Also, it's really not that hard to get the app or call ahead of time to check if it's ready. I've literally never had an issue if I do that. Absolutely the worst pharmacy in town. The sole reason I am going there is because they seem to be the only ones who can get my scrip. They don't bother to answer the phone, even to say "hi we will be with you asap". No, they will make you sit on hold for 10 mins without a word, leaving you wondering whether anyone is even in the store. Further, they will lose your prescription (after notifying you that it is ready) and then make you wait while they fix their mistake. Last time I went, the person at the drive-thru told me it was too early to fill my scrip even though they sent me a text saying it was ready. And for the record, it WAS ready, but they somehow couldn't find it. She only acknowledged her mistake after I held up my phone to show the text. Then, she had the audacity to tell me to go back through the line while they refilled it. I said, "I'm coming inside, how about that?" But wait, it gets better: about 30 seconds after I parked, I got another notification saying my scrip was ready. Imagine that. By the time I pulled back around and got to the window again, that lady was gone. I think she knew what was going to happen and made herself scarce. Avoid this place at all costs if you can. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with and this review is not based on one or even a few bad experiences. It's consistent unhelpfulness, prescriptions not ready when I'm getting calls and texts for pickup, long lines because there's no urgency or care to move the lines, and rudeness. Every. Time. For over a year. Consistently. And don't know what they are talking about and someone needs to look into fixing their automated system if it truly is the problem they say it is when I'm being notified my prescription is ready and then it's not after I wait in line for 30 minutes. Only to be told, if you wait 20 more minutes, we can get it ready. While they don't deserve it and certainly didn't earn a single star, since we are all into participation trophies these days, I guess they get a star for existing. But seriously, worst customer service, longest waiting time and then get it wrong and cause you to wait 20 more minutes or go out of your way to return again. I'll be moving my business to the not quite as desirable location on the other side of town, and at least they don't have near the problems that this location has! read more

Will never use this location again. Online states its 24 hours. The recorded message says open till 10 pm. Sent our much needed emergency prescription here. Drove 45 mins to store.... Its not at this address anymore. Found the actual store. It closed at 8 pm. Complete waste of time and energy. Now must wait till morning to start meds and drive another 45 mins to this location, picked entirely because it was supposed to be open till 10pm. I understand covid 19 is serious business. Why must you close. Why cant you update your recording? People don't get sick and needs meds only till 8 pm. Seriously... While the other drugstores have the same hours.. they did bother to update the much needed recorded information. Only gave one star because 0 isnt an option. This is now the 2nd time this Pharmacy has given me an INCORRECT prescription dosage. I highly recommend you check your prescription before you leave the store. I was given a prescription that is DOUBLE the dosage it should've been. Thank GOD it wasn't a lethal dosage! The first time I wasn't given the CORRECT amount of my medication. When I called to ask about it, I was blamed that "I" didn't look at the medication before I left the drive-thru. I'm sorry, I didn't know it was MY job to make SURE that the pharmacy has given me the CORRECT amount of medication. Then because the Pharmacist was upset that I called them out on it said Oh ok well if you want I will just make it so that you HAVE to confirm EVERY prescription. Meaning it would be more difficult for me to get my prescriptions. How am I going to be punished for their mistake? This CVS is a one star service stop every time. With the extra 30 minutes they are going to make me wait in the car with my sick child I will be a little happier knowing that the manager who reads this can feel some of my frustration with this location. First, it looks like I'm in good company as this is a one star CVS ( so I need to say no more). My countless bad experiences are well documented by others in my area. I received a tex saying the medication is ready for pickup. When I get there they do not have it. They said the will rush fill it. Just keep driving through the drive through until we fill it. Other experiences have been similar. From not charging out insurance to not having it ready. I heard from another disgruntle customer saying that they closed a CVS and this location doesn't have the staff to help customers in a timely manner. Be careful as when buying prescription meds from this cvs they always always always charge a lot more than they should be charging. Check for coupons or even to make sure they are using your medical insurance because over the past 6 years I've been incorrectly charged for my medication. I was waiting in line in the pharmacy, other people were being helped. An employee with blond curly hair and glasses yells out that they are closed and will not be helping us. Meanwhile we are the only people that need helped. I showed her a list of medications that I know for a fact have been called in for my doctor and she rudely says "we don't even get you those". I was extremely frustrated and in pain as my procedure had literally JUST happened. I get home. Wait until two when they said they would be available. I waited on hold for ten minutes, finally spoke to Joel the manager who then hung up on me. I immediately called back again and was on hold for 20 minutes before Joel finally came to the phone, never apologized for any of the inconveniences, and said that he was unsure which ones were filled and that he would not be sending them out for delivery. What a discouraging experience. Earlier today, we called in some medication for pickup and wanted to take advantage of our $5 Extrabucks coupon that expires tomorrow, February 26. The pharmacist tech rang us up for the medication first. When he tried to scan the coupon he told us that it expired and that he wouldn't be able to give us credit for the coupon. We left the pharmacy, but the more I thought about how the pharmacy tech had handled the situation, the more frustrated I got. When we got home, I called the CVS customer service to inform them about the situation. The service center was closed....surprise, surprise. When I called the local CVS location, the tech answered the phone and he confirmed that he could not overwrite a system generated message. Right when I was trying to explain that he did not handle the situation professionally (i.e., he failed to talk to the manager, he told us the coupon expired even thought it did not, etc.), my phone died. I would have given this location two stars if he had tried to call me back, but obviously this tech and potentially the pharmacy at this local CVS location do not care about their customers. Customer service is really lacking. Pharmacy techs are unprofessional and bicker with each other (in front of customers) over who is willing to do which task. Millennial at register was openly complaining about another employee calling out for that busy shift and taking it out on customers through her attitude. Sure, that may suck that you're down a person and slammed during flu season, but that's unprofessional and, frankly, no one cares. Your customers are there to pick up medication, which means that 9x out of 10 are dealing with something more stressful than you being extra busy at work. Get some perspective and do your job. read more
