However, during my most recent visit, I had a bit of a frustrating experience at the meat department. I needed some specialty meat cuts and ended up waiting over 20 minutes for assistance. The employee who eventually helped me explained that he was working by himself and needed to finish some tasks before he could assist me. I completely understand that things can get busy and employees have responsibilities they need to complete, but I did notice there were other team members working nearby, so I was a little confused about why someone else couldn't step in to help. Once I was helped, the service was still friendly, and I appreciate the employees doing their best. I'm hoping this was just an unusually busy moment because my past experiences here have been positive. Hopefully, there can be a better system for assisting customers who are waiting, especially in departments where customers may need more personalized service. I'll definitely continue shopping here because, overall, this location has usually been great -- just hoping future visits have a smoother experience.

Probably the best pharmacy experience I've ever had. No…read morehassles, very helpful & so efficient & quick! I didn't have my insurance card & I told them I would run out & get it. The person at the desk took my prescriptions, gave me their business card & told me that they would start a profile on me & suggested I called when I had my insurance info & they would immediately process my order. When I called they said they'd be ready in 10 minutes & I'm pretty sure they were done in less than that, because when I got there they were waiting on me, lol. Isn't that nice for a change?! Just in case you do end up waiting, there do have some basic chairs in the pharmacy, but you can also walk to the cafe that's nearby in the same building. Or if you're feeling adventurous you can cross the street and mozy on into the Estrella Hospital gift shop :)

The parking situation is not so great as their building is attached to the hospital and shares the same parking lot but everything else makes up for that! Believe me! Grab a drink next door at the café, BS with the pharmacy staff or read your Kindle while you wait. There is a nice patio with tables and chairs right outside the doors of the pharmacy, great for when it cools off. I enjoy using this pharmacy because they don't "grief me" for filling my pain med scripts ON TIME like EVERY OTHER PHARMACY I've ever used. Imagine it! No inordinate wait and no evil power hungry pharmacists laughing at you as you writhe in pain... Ok, maybe it's not that bad but when you are in pain, it may certainly feel that way. Just don't abuse your meds and you won't have any problems here.

This is the closest Fry's to my home, but I always avoid shopping here. The only reason I went…read moretoday was because Instacart sent me an unusually high paying order. Honestly, the rate would have to be very high for me to willingly deal with this store. I imagine other shoppers avoid orders from this location for many of the same reasons. There are frequently no carts available near the entrance, so customers have to walk through the parking lot in 100 to 110 plus degree heat to hunt one down. The metal carts become extremely hot, which is especially difficult when you are also trying to manage a toddler. Today, I arrived around 7:00 p.m., when it was still over 100 degrees outside, and there was a steady line of customers walking through the parking lot looking for carts. To make matters worse, the main entrance was closed. Customers had to walk all the way around and enter through the side that requires you to filter through the checkout lanes just to reach the grocery section. I asked an employee why the main entrance was closed, especially when families with children were walking around outside in extreme heat pushing burning hot carts, but no one could provide a real explanation or seemed particularly concerned. Meanwhile, several employees appeared to be standing around talking. The condition of the store itself is also disappointing. It feels run down and poorly cleaned, and the selection is noticeably worse than at other Fry's locations. They are frequently out of items I need and have a very limited selection of healthier snacks, despite carrying large quantities of highly processed snack foods. The dairy area is especially concerning. There is often a terrible smell when the milk refrigerator is opened, and I regularly see spilled products, debris, or items lying on the floor inside the refrigerated section. The odor alone makes me uncomfortable purchasing milk from this store. I shop at Fry's stores throughout the Valley, including locations in San Tan Valley, Scottsdale, Surprise, and Buckeye, so I have plenty of other locations to compare this one to. This is easily one of the worst Fry's stores I have visited. A new Fry's Marketplace is supposed to open nearby, and I sincerely hope it is placed under completely different management. The surrounding community deserves a grocery store that is clean, properly stocked, safely accessible, and managed with basic consideration for its customers.
