I don't know why there's so much hate for this pharmacy. I have been going here for years and they always treat me well. You should know it's incredibly busy, there are people in line all day long, and that makes it hard for them to deal with the phones, but there always seems to be someone working with a customer on the phone. Sorry, but the people in the store take precedence over phone calls, and the place is packed most of the daylight hours. The staff is actually very nice, particularly the two head pharmacists I have seen. I have had several issues dealing with my insurance and they help me every time. It seems like the people who are complaining are expecting a lot of customer service. If you can't use the app/website and text messages, maybe this is not the place for you. So much of the process is online, not one-on-one, now. It's not as personal as the old days, but they are serving an enormous number of people here. I like coming in, scanning my phone, and getting my medications. It's efficient, you only really have to wait in the line, but the service is fast once you get to the counter. Some reviewer accused them of racism and that's unfair, it's a very diverse team, they have people from all over working there. I'm a trans person of color and I have always been treated well. I know people only review when they are mad, so there are lots of complaints, but if you have a little patience, this is good pharmacy with a conscientious group of people working here. read more

Bombed out interior. It's dirty inside and dim. Outside, strange people hang out. Saw human poop in the parking lot at the base of the CVS sign. Inside, you are forced to use the terminals at the pharmacies but it doesn't save you any time because pharmacy staff may yell at you for FOLLOWING procedure to self scan your barcode because "someone else" had checked in there (which was not correct since screen asked you to scan your barcode). Their staff is highly incompetent. They make up the stories and hang up the phone on you in the middle of conversation. Besides terrible customer service they are a SCAM. I got my flu vaccine there (it was administered by female), however when I requested the letter it stated that I got it from their male pharmacist.... No need to say it was printed on dysfunctional printer and looked very faded (like a bad copy). The only good thing about that pharmacy is Helen, she is the only one who knows what she is doing there. Unfortunately, I've seen her only once in the 3 years of me being a customer. Then I got to my parents' house, where I was meeting them for lunch and we once again called and ate an entire lunch without CVS Pharmacy picking up. One star because we can't submit zero. This is a busy branch. But in all these years, I have never encountered a smile behind the counter. Pharmacy staff is unfriendly and dismissive. Their service is perfunctory at best. God forbid you have a question regarding your medication. Here comes eye rolls from both the counter person and the pharmacist. This branch does not pick up phone calls. Ludicrous and absolutely shameful. CVS needs to dedicate a resource or simply publicize that they haven't the basic managerial skills to respond to customers. Let's be real -- pharmacy customers are medical patients. Don't let the huge HELLO they give you when walking in fool you. This is the worst CVS I know of. The last five times my doctor sent in a script they always said they didn't get it. Each time it took multiple sends by the doctor to get it done. They blame the doctor but it's not his fault. On his end it always shows sent. It happened with two different doctors to my family. Good luck getting an answer on the phone. I once had them on hold for over an hour an went there waited on line with them still on hold. When I got to counter the girl said can I help you ? This is actually a really busy cvs. The great thing is it's open 24 hours including the pharmacy counter. Don't forget to scan your card for coupons when you walk in. I also like the self checkout options and there is usually someone there to make sure it works smoothly. The staff here is friendly. My only complaint is that the parking lot is an absolute nightmare. Mostly cause people are jerks. read more

Since we are in the middle of a global health crisis I feel it is my duty as a citizen to warn others against going to this pharmacy. Since COVID-19 became a global priority our lives are no longer solely our own - they now also depend on the behavior of others. Pharmacists have always been an important link between doctors and patients. When they do their jobs poorly it can be dangerous in better times; that same behavior during a pandemic becomes unforgivable. Serve that up with a side of discrimination and you have yourself a lawsuit. I fought back tears as I witnessed an elderly and disabled woman of color crying in her wheelchair as she was publicly humiliated by two pharmacists at this CVS location. The pharmacists are positioned behind a row of cashiers and a plastic window to help protect against COVID; you can imagine how loud they'd been yelling that I couldn't avoid hearing them. This woman was trying to pick up a medication I am familiar with because ironically I was there for the same reason. I heard, quite clearly, that they were accusing her of being a drug addict who was trying to shake them out for pills. They sounded like a bunch of bullies at a playground. They yelled out the name of the medication she was quite literally begging for (and excuse me but that's private information) and I recognized it 100% as definitely not being a controlled substance. They said the name of the medication twice so it's impossible to have made a mistake. They were telling her to sleep it off and that she was shaking like a drug addict- but she wasn't, they were just being cruel. She couldn't project her voice (she looked like she was in her 80s or 90s) and she was even less audible because she was crying. She was saying "I'm not shaking, it's the table," (she was leaning against something unsteady) "why are you doing this to me,"and "please help me." This woman survived how many decades on this Earth, she's hopefully about to survive a pandemic, all just to be traumatized at a CVS? Heck, even I'm traumatized. One of the pharmacists bullying her pretended to pick up the phone and call a lawyer; no lawyer would corroborate poor medical advice at a CVS. The elderly woman tried to tell them it wasn't a controlled substance, but the more she tried to explain the louder they talked over her until the cashier joined in, told her to move, and tried to take the next customer. That next customer waited for another cashier and his decision just exacerbated the situation (I can't imagine how uncomfortable he must have been having to refuse any involvement in that drama). When It was my turn I told the cashier that I was on that exact medication and it's used off-label for diabetic nerve pain. If that woman took their advice to "sleep it off" she'd wake up in the hospital because abrupt withdrawal leads to seizures. I had to at least try and help this woman, but I paid dearly for it when I was then also denied service. I couldn't get anyone to check the bin two feet away or tell me what my options were as far as contacting my doctor or insurance company - they wouldn't even tell me what the problem was and I was holding a cell phone with a text telling me that my medication was ready. There's a poorly working app I checked as well, just to be sure, while standing in front of them. I got right back on line when I saw that the woman behind me was being asked the proper questions I'm used to answering: first name, last name, DOB. This isn't my first rodeo, I did not get those questions because let's face it they had no intention of helping me. This is how they behave during a crisis? I spent well over an hour in the store and 45 minutes on hold by phone (no one ever picked up). It was because no one ever picked up that I had to walk to the store. I couldn't call my doctor to have the prescription sent elsewhere, or my doctor's secretary, or anybody else for help. The CVS website isn't exactly equipped to handle anything more complicated than saying it does or doesn't have your medication. I had nowhere to turn. I am sincerely grateful that there are platforms like Yelp to help us all connect and give us the opportunity to warn each other against danger. This pharmacy is in no way worth the risk you would be taking and its staff clearly has no respect for human life. The worst part? I was almost out of the store when I got coughed on. There has never been one time that I've walked into this CVS where more that two self-check outs were working. It's extremely frustrating when I just want to be in and out and there's a long line waiting to check-out and there's only 2 check outs open and one person is struggling, making the wait even longer. The biggest reason that I'm giving this location 1 star is because of what I experienced one day upon entering the store for some facial lotion. Let me start off by saying that I love shopping at CVS for skin products and makeup and can spend a fair amount of time shopping there. One day I walked in and went to the skin products section looking for a lotion for my face. I squatted down to look at some of the lotions on the low shelf and I felt someone behind me, naturally I turned around and saw a male employee or manager or whatever he was standing behind me with his arms crossed and a very accusing facial expression, when I turned around and looked at him he told me "Do you need something?" In a very nasty tone as if I was doing something that I wasn't supposed to be. I was in shock I told him "No, I'm fine". After I picked out the lotion I wanted, I continued shopping around the store and I would spot him FOLLOWING ME. When I checked out he stood nearby watching me. WTF. I think anyone who knows of this location would agree with me when I say that this place is a zoo. The parking lot is a free for all with tons of people who should not be driving and I witnessed accidents occurring there on multiple occasions. Inside the store is not much better. People don't know how to use the self checkout machines and at least one or two of them will be out of service. I have encountered a helpful employee in the past but most of them are fairly useless. Felt the need to write a review after my experience last night. The manager had only self checkout open and came to the front to tell everyone waiting for a cashier to do self checkout. I had my 6 week old daughter with me, and needed to do cash back, and she replied very snippy for me to use the ATM. I said I didn't want to pay the $3 fee, so she just ignored me. Normally I wouldn't hesitate to use the self checkout. Another employee actually finally called someone to the front who was very efficient. I stood there for more than 10 minutes, in the middle of the aisle, with a car seat and a sleeping infant, before ever being helped. Didn't catch the managers name, but she was in plain clothes, early 20's with blonde hair. Not to mention out of 6 open self checkout counters, 4 took only credit, no cash. And almost everyone was having an issue. It was a disaster, and so is the parking lot. Only good thing is that whenever I've been there, shelves are well stocked. read more
