RITE AID the drug store I have used for years is closing. Today, I decided to check out a different drug store. I went across the street to CVS. Their prices are similar to a convience store, not a discount drug store. I paid over $2.00 for a two litre cola . I have NEVER paid that much for a cola! I noticed other items I frequently buy are similarly priced. The people working there were efficient and nice. Unfortunately, I am very limited with my funds. I have been on the same medication regimen for more than a decade. I went to a scheduled appointment with my PCP. She ordered a new med and adjusted another. All in all, I had 13 prescriptions total. 11 were the same. The computer system my PCP uses crashed a few weeks before my appointment. All was repaired except for the electronic prescription software. She had to individually write 13 prescriptions. I drove thru the drive thru and turned them in. I was not even a mile away when I received a call. He verified my identity and proceeded to speak to me with extreme disrespect. His words and his tone were abhorrent. "I hope you are not expecting to pick these up today!" "In fact, I cannot guarantee that you can pick them up this time next week". "This is going to take hours for one person to hand enter these individually." "We are too busy to allow one person to be tied up for this!" I could not get in a word edgewise. When he was done ranting, I asked if his job was to fill prescriptions. I asked if the state of my health had inconvenienced him. I acknowledged that the entire country has an issue with understaffed places of business. Especially in healthcare. Finally, I asked if he had bothered to actually look at the prescriptions. That if he had, he'd know that there were only 2 changes. The rest were verification. Clearly he had not. No apology was given. He was still trying to justify his argument even when it no longer applied to me. Frankly, even if it had, so what! That was not the proper way to address it. My prescriptions were filled in a timely manner. I reported the incident to the CEO with no response. Thirty years ago, this would have been a punishable offense. Do I believe the customer is always right? No! But was it my fault the scripts had to be hand written? No. It was his duty to contact the provider. One of two things would have occurred. He would've learned of the software issue or it would've been an opportunity to teach the advantages of electronic script writing. I have no choice but to use CVS because of my insurance. Believe me. Everytime I visit a CVS location, there are never cashiers at the checkout area. Again today, I had to locate someone who I thought worked in the store. This person was just a vendor, but assisted me more than the CVS staff. After waiting at the front for about 4 minutes, I asked the vendor that I thought was an employee for assistance. The vendor located the cashier in her office and told her that she had a customer. The cashiers response was, " I saw her." So your team member knowingly let me wait. After checkout and walking to my car, I realized I purchased the wrong item. I returned to the store to inquire about similar products, and once again the cashier was no where to be found. I was again assisted by the vendor. As this has happened multiple times along with a host of other issues at this and other CVS locations, I would not recommend CVS to anyone. The only reason that I used this store today is because it's convenient to my work place. I have already moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy. read more

Horrible pharmacy. did not fill an Acute Prescription resulting in a trip to the ER. Pharmacy is poorly run resulting in prescriptions being filled incorrectly. expect a 30 minute wait when you call or go to the pharmacy to get a prescription refilled. After 15+ years today was the last time picking up prescriptions .Too many times this past year we would get a recording on the phone saying our prescriptions were in process.....for days . There's new people working there all the time. We actually questioned why it was taking so long a.k.a. in process to get a prescription and the girl actually told us CVS would not give them the help they needed to get the job done. Exterior of the building is dirty the grounds are nasty there's always garbage in the parking lot . The window at the drive thru is so filthy .. Walgreens here we come . read more

On Feb. 3rd I shopped at CVS, and Kayla was at the counter. About a half hour later while putting my items in the house, I noticed my wristlet was missing, with my cards inside. While I was freaking out, I called the store, and was told it wasn't there. I asked Kayla to please look outside where I was parked, and could not believe she actually found it right there where I had parked!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! read more
