It is sad when I could have given a 5-star rating at one time, and now I can't. It is a sign of…read morethe times we live in - everyone is in a hurry, or really sick and need their meds, there isn't enough qualified help to take care of the customers. Technical difficulties screw up things all the time. All that can't be dumped on the workers at this Walgreens, or any others. I have always received great service at the checkouts, help if I couldn't find something or needed to know about an OTC item. Kindness, patience, respect, and understanding goes a long way in how you are treated as a customer. Everyone has bad days, and it doesn't help to make that worse for someone. I too, have had a few problems with the pharmacy - the saving grace is that I can see they are overwhelmed at times with the number of prescriptions that are going through there every day. The pharmacy area is way too small for handling the number of prescriptions they receive - prescriptions are missing, can't be found, aren't ready, even though you've received a phone call or text saying your prescriptions ready for pickup., etc. (again, tech issues, which the pharmacy clerks have no control over). I always check to make sure I have the right prescription, the right amount, and all scripts that are available, before I pay and leave. That is something each customer should do. I have even called to make sure of everything before I go to the pharmacy - no matter which one it is I am going to. They could really use two lines for drive up/pick up. The line is often backed up around the building and blocking the entrance/exit on the Innes Street side. Being able to hear the person in the car, and the person in the car hearing and understanding the clerk inside is a big problem too. Personal information can be heard by others, whether you are at the counter or you are in your car. I hand over my ID now so that I don't have to reveal my DOB, address, and name. It's just not safe to let others in the line behind you, have all that info. Older people are the most vulnerable, because they usually talk louder and need the clerk to speak louder. The only other problems I have run into are when there is a BOGO and there is only one item left. And sometimes items are in the wrong place, and I think they cost one price, or are on sale, and they don't and aren't. It is difficult for some to bend over to read the pricing label or even be able to read the small writing. The bottom line is that, even though I have to go to two different pharmacies in Salisbury, for certain prescriptions, I will continue to use this Walgreens for most of mine, because it is conveniently located for me, I have gotten to know the clerks and pharmacists and have a good connection with them, prices for most of my prescriptions are reasonable, other item pricings are comparable with other local pharmacies, and the rewards program is okay.

I have to physically go up there and have them fill or they will take days to fill and you'll run out of meds. I'm physically mute and can't call them. I also had an incident today that hurt me. I went to the drive through as I always do, and the cashier called over the intercom asking what I needed. (Which they've never done to me) so I clapped loudly since I can't speak. She got mad and told me that I just need to start coming inside. Avoid this pharmacy!

The best thing about going to Walmart last Saturday was a worker there named "Eric." He was very…read moreconcerned after he was informed that the grocery cart I had selected had some sort of feces on the bottom part of it. Luckily, the items I had placed were inches from it and not directly in it. I had not noticed until I began filling up the cart and was running out of space. There was obvious poo. I told my mother I would find someone to help and get us another cart. When I informed Eric, he said this poo might have come from a child, but "it may have come from a dog." He was the best worker in Walmart I have ever encountered. He got us another cart very quickly, a clean one and took the hazardous-waste cart away. I am very concerned about Walmart allowing dog owners to enter with non-service animals and allowing there dogs to ride in grocery carts. Dog coming in contact with the carts can spread through their paws, butt, mouth and fur contaminants to fresh food and to the wrappers of food. You touch the wrapper and then the food and guess what, the poo gets into your mouth. If seems so strange Walmart would allow this. Also, allowing children into the portion of the cart where feet ca touch can spread feces and other contaminants to the cart. Then, anything you place into the cart comes into contact with the poop, vomit, whatever nasty you can see with your eyes or under the microscope makes its way to your hands or mouth when the apple you bought touches the nasty. Even if you wash you food you are still going to contaminate your kitchen and car with whatever the dog or child puts into the cart via feet or through defecation. These carts should be sanitized for each customer. I once saw a cashier wiping his nose on a cloth handkerchief. Then, without using hand sanitizer, handed me my change. He touched everything in my cart with his mucus-hand intermittingly wiping his nose with the snot rag. That was at a different Walmart in Chapel Hill. The feces incident was at the Walmart in Salisbury, and three weeks prior to this what looked to be urine from a child was decorating the floor, and there was only a second's warning to avoid it. I have seen in another Walmart packages of meat moved to candy sections and just left there. Nearly two years ago, I saw while in parking lot a teen throwing and breaking beer in bottle and yelling, "This is going to be a sh--- show." Of course, I called management to come outside. It turned out she was an employee of Walmart.

But I do have to say I'm very happy with the outcome from today. I am a spark driver and was picking up deliveries this morning. The employees that loaded my car basically was tossing/throwing the bags in. I told them to please stop and they just looked at me like I was crazy. Well I get to my first delivery and was unloading the customers items when I noticed the milk was underneath all the bags and had busted all over the floor of my car. After notifying the customer of what happened and she was very understanding and gave me paper towels to clean what I could. I called driver support which was a joke so I called the store and spoke to a manager which asked me to come in when I got back and talk to them. So I did and they said to go get my car cleaned and bring the receipt back to them and they would reimburse me. I want to say thank you to these 3 people Kaitlyn, Tot and Ben for helping me and doing exactly what they said they would do. I greatly appreciate it.
