There is a male pharmacist here that is always helpful and kind, so the two stars are for him. If I rated him solely I'd give him 5 stars. Today upon picking up a routine medication, I was told by a female pharmacist "I could check in there," without a smile but rather a nod to a screen. There was another female pharmacy tech standing right by the screen who did not greet me. She then stood infront of me without a word and waited for me to answer a list of prompts to "check-in" I would have once considered her job- full name, date of birth, phone number, questions on whether I'd like to be vaccinated. I told her the screen was impersonal, and she quipped back with, "Well, I like it!" Then continued to tell me about how she oftentimes gets screamed at without even being greeted by the customer, which is her job, mind you. It felt highly unprofessional and a role reversal of sorts. She is getting paid to serve me as a customer who is about to pay her hundreds of dollars for a medication, not the other way around. Feedback for the pharmacy- I'm not exactly certain why I'm imputing all of the information into a system on my end now and what the tech's role is other than to hand me my prescription. There was no line, no high guest traffic, etc. For a high paying career, where is the decency of human interaction? I felt so slighted I didn't even make eye contact before grabbing my prescription from what I believe to be an overpaid hand and walking away. I would rather go to a pharmacy where someone was kind and personable to me even if it was an inconvenience in location. read more

I wouldn't recommend to no one. Not if u like hear the pharmacist say racial comments bout the ppl picking up med . Don't know her name but she was the only one wearing a white coat . Everytime someone came in line she would roll her eyes n say this isn't a fast food ppl . Pills aren't fries . Summer the manager in pharmacy is by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER ENCOUNTERED when attempting to pickup a delivery. Understand if you get medicine from this pharmacy delivered that the manager summer will tell drivers that the name is not in the system simply because she feels like it!! She yells simply because someone doesn't do her command that's not her employee. I hope this pharmacy gets a better manager because I'm sure that won't be hard to find. read more

Horrible pharmacy COVID-19 support. Extremely unprofessional staff who answered the phone to my father -- who is elderly and has symptoms of COVID-19. He called concerned he has the virus and was asking questions regarding the testing and the pharmacy was incredibly rude and laughed at his questions. This type of service is never acceptable but it especially concerning in a pandemic when people should feel safe and listened to about their questions regarding getting tested. CVS pharmacy has been a go-to for years, we were both unpleasantly surprised at the poor level of professionalism and service. This is exactly the type of situation that deters people from calling places and asking questions to get tested. Management -- please speak with your staff and train them properly to deal with customers and patients or find new staff. read more

I'm a Type 1 diabetic, so i visit a pharmacy several times a month. I've been using CVS since before it was CVS; anyone remember Arbor Drugs?! When i lived in Southfield, MI i was right next to the CVS at 13 Mile and Southfield Rd. I had been going there for a little shy of 15 years and it was so convenient that i couldn't see myself EVER going anywhere else or why anyone would. Then i moved to Rochester Hills, MI and was forced to change pharmacies. What a BUMMER! At first, i thought "no big deal, all CVS pharmacies are created equal right?" WRONG. I've lived in Rochester Hills now for almost two years and i wish i could move back, just for the CVS in Southfield! Literally every single time I go to this CVS, and even the CVS around the corner on John R. & Auburn, there is a problem with my prescriptions! Twice I even had to go the weekend WITHOUT ANY INSULIN!!!! For you diabetics and doctors/med students, you know how serious that is. The pharmacy staff at this CVS, 2011 S. Rochester Rd. Rochester Hills, MI, are incompetent and rude! And that's being generous. Even while I'm waiting in their hour-long line, i can hear other people having as difficult a time getting their prescriptions as i have! I've emailed CVS corporate several times to ask them what the heck is going on over there, and I've gotten no reply! So i gave up. If i didn't have to a rely on a pharmacy to keep me alive, my position would be different. But these people literally have my life in their less than capable hands! I've even had prescriptions filled and received wrong medication or incorrect amounts! One time, and i don't know how they managed this, they fumbled a narcotic pain killer prescription in a manner that had me investigated by the DEA! I've since been traveling the 45 minutes back to Southfield to the GOOD CVS to get my prescriptions. Even so, it burns me up that CVS is still getting my money even though they employ rude, incompetent pharmacy staff at most of their pharmacies (in my experience). I have always gotten my scripts filled here and needed everything moved to one location. I was getting held out in here and half across town! I called because I was told by the cvs across town that I needed to call THEM to have my scrips moved there. Summer or Sumner who I asked if she was the gal I talked to in the drive through the day before was there today and because I asked her if she had brown hair? I was trying to see if she was the same gal that helped me the night before‍She called me a racist! No yelled at me I was assuming she had brown hair? What is wrong with this society when a customer is asking for a service and the staff is so overwhelmed or so overworked that they can't just do their job and be polite and helpful. I can take a little bulling but my poor parents and grandparents can not! I will be following up with her higher ups because of course she said she was the manager. I hope so badly this conversation was recorded because she shouldn't be in customer service. I needed service and it was the last thing she wanted to do ....with brown, grey, white or purple hair who cares??? Poor management they will follow you around the store and to the parking lot, I had my kids with me the worst cvs I been in.

Picked some medicine and an inhaler for my father-in-law. When I found out that the inhaler was not covered by insurance I asked if it was really needed since he had antibiotics as well. I was told it would help the inflammation helpful by the pharmacists so I took her advice and got it for him. When my father-in-law tried to use if after following the instructions it was stiff and too difficult to push down. I also tried it, but it took a large amount of force to push it down. The product was clearly defective and not working correctly so I tried to return or exchange. So i brought it back to the pharmacy and asked for an exchange or refund. The pharmacist refused and to my surprise got a little loud and angry with me. She stated it was against store policy and would not make exceptions even for a defective product. I will not set foot in this place again there are too many other choices where the pharmacists are at least polite and have some compassion even when they can not return a product because of store policy. Most pharmacies I have been to before will take products back that are defective. read more

Skip this pharmacy and head to Rite Aid instead. I've had nothing but problems going to this particular CVS. If you must go to a CVS, drive a little farther to the one on Walton and Livernois where Brenda is the head pharmacist and she is nice and really fast. I came here directly from the hospital after a CSECTION and another operative procedure with my husband and newborn baby get my medications. They filled one of them, but the RX for Vicodin was a huge hassle. The pharmacist comes out in front of everyone waiting and says while rolling her eyes and a big attitude, "m'am, you know you can't fill the Vicodin because you're taking Suboxone." I said I am doing so under a doctors care and orders because I just had surgery. I must take the Vicodin and I have been instructed by the hospital in how to do so. She says well I refuse to put it through your insurance. I told her then I will pay cash. After fifteen minutes of arguing and explaining and tons of attitude and eye rolls, I got her to fill it and she cost me $30 I really couldn't afford to pay and shouldn't have had to. My insurance understood the situation and would have paid. Ugh. The biggest issue was embarrassment. I mean, did she really need to humiliate me in front of everyone? Couldn't she have helped me privately? Then last night was the real kicker. I ordered a refill on my infants acid reflux medicine. He would throw his food up without it. Instead of calling me to tell me, they put it through as cash because the insurance wasn't paying. So I had to roll up there in a snowstorm and wait when it could have been handled over the phone. Same pharmacist. She says in her rude voice "the insurance will not pay until February 1st when coverage begins. I explained that February 1st is when his contract renews not when coverage begins. I even showed her the live website that shows he has coverage but she refused to look. She was like do you want this and pay cash or not?? I told her no, I'll just transfer it to Walgreens where they have his insurance info and there's never a problem. Sure enough Walgreens had it filled with no problems 5 minutes later. What?
