Absolutely unacceptable experience at the Walgreens Pharmacy in Shelby Township (26 Mile & Van…read moreDyke). On June 27, my doctor sent in a prescription for 270 capsules. On June 29, I received an online notification that only 15 capsules were ready. I called the pharmacy at 5:18 PM and was told the online portal was incorrect -- that the full 270 capsules were ready for pickup. When I went to the pharmacy on July 3, I waited 10 minutes in line, only to have the pharmacy tech unable to find the prescription. She brought in the pharmacist, Mary, who said it was ready and asked me to take a seat while she retrieved it. After waiting another 18 minutes, it became obvious that the prescription was not ready at all. I approached the counter to express my frustration, and instead of listening, Mary repeatedly talked over me and wouldn't let me speak. When I finally managed to get a word in, she told me she "wasn't going to listen" and walked away down an aisle -- clearly avoiding the conversation. Before leaving, she had the audacity to tell me to transfer all of my prescriptions away from Walgreens. This behavior is completely unprofessional and disrespectful -- especially from someone responsible for handling patients' medications. I've been a loyal Walgreens customer, but after this outrageous experience, I am seriously considering transferring all of my prescriptions to a pharmacy that values accuracy, accountability, and basic customer respect.

This Meijer pharmacy has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.. I went to fill my…read moregrandpa's discharge medication, but did not have his insurance information with me. I asked them to contact his other pharmacy that he goes to in order to get it and they refused to do so. I was told that it was my responsibility to do so, all while I'm tending to my grandpa who has just been released from the hospital. To top it off, I called Walmart to get my prescriptions transferred. They assured me that it would be no problem. I called back to verify whether or not they were able to transfer them and I was told that Meijer had refused to transfer out the prescriptions. So now my prescriptions were held hostage and the pharmacist did not want to transfer them out because he cares about his prescription count that pharmacies measure for growth (and obviously, bonuses being paid) as opposed to caring for the patients. I highly do not recommend this pharmacy. There is a rite aid and a Walgreens on the corners across the street from here. Check them out first before ever stepping foot in any Meijer pharmacy.

So please be forewarned that this place definitely keeps weird hours! But finally, I was walking past it one day and had to do a double take because I found it to be open and I eagerly went in! I love that this place actually does contain a pharmacy in the back of the store! It's located right on the corner of Main and Fourth, so it's truly in such prime location and essentially is the heart of downtown Rochester! Hence why it's additionally so mystifying to me that they're never open on evenings and weekends it seems or during any special events that happen frequently in the downtown area. But nonetheless, Lytle is super cute! It's filled to the brim with all kinds of unique tchotchkes and other unique offerings for all kinds of people in your life -- kids, gardeners, those who love hosting and entertaining, etc. The goodies they have aren't super high end, but what they lack in quality they make up for in uniqueness, as there are a lot of things here that I have never seen carried anywhere else. It's definitely a cute store and on the more affordable end for anyone looking to go somewhere for gifting inspiration. I just hope you can catch them while they are open!

I admit that most Meijers are super busy. They are large and have all these lanes closed, only like…read more8 open usually. To me that seems ridiculous, but I figured it was staffing issue. I actually do prefer this location over Hall though. I lived here for a long time and always came to this location. The employees have always been helpful. Something that impresses me and makes me give it a 4 star is the fact that they treat everyone with respect. My mom has an accent, a very strong one. Sometimes it is so difficult to understand what she is saying. Some may even see her as a nuissance at most places and treat her rudely. Here, they always treat her with respect. They help my mom with anything she needs. She shops here and Kroger on the opposite side. Both stores have great customer service. Whenever she has asked for help, they would walk her to her destination. Unlike Walmart when they say things like "that isn't my area." I also have asked for help before. Usually my mom always shopped and I never really went to the grocery stores. I didn't like the crowded isles. When she went on vacation with my dad, it was our responsibility to buy them for the house. I honestly was so lost and confused. A lady saw my sister and I, and she asked if we needed assistance. She went out of her way to show us where each item was located. We needed 5 things. That was the nicest thing anyone could do in a situation like that. I never expected her to actually show us around. I expected her to say "oh it's in 10 just walk down and find it here." I only wish the line issue would change though.

When I worked there, there were already issues, but it seems like the overall management and work environment have declined even more. From what I have seen and heard, there is really only one manager who consistently seems to care about the employees, does their job well, and treats people with respect. Whose name is Brandon. There is also only one employee who consistently stands out as hardworking, dependable, and dedicated. All of the customers love her. And her name is Rebecca. It is disappointing that the store seems to rely so heavily on only a couple of good people while the rest of the management team appears to lack the leadership, communication, and accountability that employees deserve. Breaks are ALWAYS late, others are getting theirs before the ones who should get them first. Good management is extremely important for employee morale and the overall success of a store. When employees feel ignored, poorly managed, or unsupported, it affects the entire workplace. I genuinely hope someone takes this feedback seriously and looks into the current management. Very extremely disappointed in the management and managers of the store.

Do not go to this pharmacy if you are being treated with any type of pain medication. The…read morepharmacist will treat you like a drug seeker and will question the quantity of the prescription your doctor has prescribed; he will express his personal opinion that it's a large quantity in a very judgmental tone without even knowing your medical background and why the medication is appropriate for you. Unlike every other pharmacy that allows you to pick-up your medication at 28 days, he makes you wait a full 30 days and speaks to you in a very condescending manner. I suffer from Lupus, Psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. I am under the care of a Rheumatologist, Primary care physician and a chronic pain doctor. I have been under their care for almost 20 years. My 3rd month of attempting to get my medication filled, the pharmacist called and told me that he was out of my medication and had no idea when he would get any supply restocked. It's bad enough to try to hold a full-time job, take care of my kids and get through the day with these conditions, I don't need to be made to feel like a criminal by a uncompassionate pharmacist who on top of that feels it's appropriate to withhold my medications. Just awful
