Halloween is on the way!
David M.

I'm not a regular shopper at Walmart Supercenter because I mostly find what I need at Costco and Meijer which are both closer for me. But when my prescription drug insurance switched to the Walmart Pharmacy as their preferred store, I started using it. Mostly I use the drive up Pharmacy but there have been a couple of times where I needed to go inside. While I was waiting for my prescription to be filled, I wandered around to check out the store, at least near the pharmacy. Contrary to my preconceived expectations about Walmart, also based on actual visits to older stores many years ago, this store was clean and neatly laid out with wider aisles than I anticipated. I asked an employee to point me towards kitchen items and I actually did find some non-stick mini muffin tins by Wilton, a good brand imo, at a very reasonable price so I bought them. I picked up my prescription and went home. Then I made some bite-size (for me) Jalapeño Cornbread Mini Muffins!

Says inside!

Bought 4 new tires from Rochester Walmart. 60 days later I went back to have them balanced due to a terrible shake/shimmy. They told me I had suspension issues, put the dangerois tires that were down to the wires on the back and sent me home. Another Walmart pointed out that they were installed inside out (outside of tire legibly said inside). They didn't replace the valve stems and stacked balance weights on top of each otjer. Myself or my grandkids could have been seriously injured!

I don't understand why all the hate for a department store. Other than bad experiences maybe in the toy department or defective products or a standoff with an employee, it shouldn't speak bad of Walmart as a brand. Compared to the Meijers and Krogers on average, their prices are amazingly cheap. Lots of products from groceries to clothing that are well under competitor's prices. In some circumstances, yes you can better quality elsewhere but ripping Walmart cause of single bad product or employee relationship shouldn't be on the store in question as much as the brand. Bottom line, has most if not all of your needs for a decent price.

Pharmacy totally closed from 1 till 2..Every pharmacy worker out to lunch...BS. What about Emergencys?

Worst Walmart ever why don't they have Apple Pay... what are we in the 19th century? What a waste of time and life and space.

So please be forewarned that this place definitely keeps weird hours! But finally, I was walking past it one day and had to do a double take because I found it to be open and I eagerly went in! I love that this place actually does contain a pharmacy in the back of the store! It's located right on the corner of Main and Fourth, so it's truly in such prime location and essentially is the heart of downtown Rochester! Hence why it's additionally so mystifying to me that they're never open on evenings and weekends it seems or during any special events that happen frequently in the downtown area. But nonetheless, Lytle is super cute! It's filled to the brim with all kinds of unique tchotchkes and other unique offerings for all kinds of people in your life -- kids, gardeners, those who love hosting and entertaining, etc. The goodies they have aren't super high end, but what they lack in quality they make up for in uniqueness, as there are a lot of things here that I have never seen carried anywhere else. It's definitely a cute store and on the more affordable end for anyone looking to go somewhere for gifting inspiration. I just hope you can catch them while they are open!

This particular location is slow and under staffed. The checkout at the front of the store was fine, but the pharmacy was difficult to work with and slower than other locations. I'd come here again, but if you are in a hurry or have a complicated script or unusual med to fill, you may want to pick another location.

I picked up two boxes of L'Oreal hair dye because there was clearly a sign saying the second one was $6 off. At checkout, Ahmed suddenly claimed there was no promotion. First he said he never saw the sign. Then after he went to "check," the sign magically disappeared. After that, he kept changing his story, saying maybe it blew away, then later admitting the promotion had expired the day before. The issue is not the $6. The issue is the dishonesty. Instead of simply admitting the expired sign was left up by mistake, he kept making excuses and acting like I was making it up. "Buy one get one $6 off" is NOT the same as "come back another day for $6 off." I already paid and do not want to return to deal with this nonsense again. 0 star for Ahmed's shitty service and dishonest, giving 1 star just for saving this comment.

There is a male pharmacist here that is always helpful and kind, so the two stars are for him. If I…read morerated him solely I'd give him 5 stars. Today upon picking up a routine medication, I was told by a female pharmacist "I could check in there," without a smile but rather a nod to a screen. There was another female pharmacy tech standing right by the screen who did not greet me. She then stood infront of me without a word and waited for me to answer a list of prompts to "check-in" I would have once considered her job- full name, date of birth, phone number, questions on whether I'd like to be vaccinated. I told her the screen was impersonal, and she quipped back with, "Well, I like it!" Then continued to tell me about how she oftentimes gets screamed at without even being greeted by the customer, which is her job, mind you. It felt highly unprofessional and a role reversal of sorts. She is getting paid to serve me as a customer who is about to pay her hundreds of dollars for a medication, not the other way around. Feedback for the pharmacy- I'm not exactly certain why I'm imputing all of the information into a system on my end now and what the tech's role is other than to hand me my prescription. There was no line, no high guest traffic, etc. For a high paying career, where is the decency of human interaction? I felt so slighted I didn't even make eye contact before grabbing my prescription from what I believe to be an overpaid hand and walking away. I would rather go to a pharmacy where someone was kind and personable to me even if it was an inconvenience in location.
