Rated a 0.... Yesterday was the last straw of 11 months of abuse at this CVS PHARMACY ON WEST LIBERTY AVE PGH PA. The verbal abuse , emotional abuse is over. Most of the Pharmacy Techs are as dumb as a box of rocks. They're rude , ignorant, abusive. You turn them into corporate, nothing done & they retaliate against you. Out of nowhere, this nasty attitude Kasie Hickman appears & announces "I'm the manager." After I asked for Amy the manager. This Kasie Hickman only has been a pharmacist since 2023!!! Worst person I ever ran into. She deliberately or stupidly entered my RX into computer system due to it was only a partial fill she should have manually entered it to trigger a re order of med. cause they had no more in stock. Again not ordering meds when more than one of us are on it. She began yelling at me, stating " I don't have to re order or keep in stock if i don't want to." " I'm the manager, & what I say goes."she gave me a partial fill of my med, ran it thru insurance as if was a 60 pill supply. Now I'm out 20 pills ; she did this on purpose!!!! Stay away from this store. I contacted corporate & will continue. Also contacting State Board of Pharmacy for unprofessional conduct. If you want to know more contact me. The last 5 times I've brought my elderly mother here to get prescriptions has been TERRIBLE. The pharmacy itself is wonderful, but several of the non-pharmacy store employees have absolutely abhorrent customer service skills. I believe one of them, a younger female, is the manager, and gives my mother such a horrible attitude. Even today, the employee in the candy aisle told both my mother and me that all Halloween candy was 50-75% off and that they would mark it down at the register. My mother chose 2 small bags and proceeded to the front of the store. They didn't ring properly so we informed the clerk, a male who was VERY kind, about what the other employee had told us. The rude female manager(I believe) made sure to come up front and told us candy was not marked down. When we stated what the other employee had told us, she went over to that girl, came back up front, and said that the girl was wrong, candy isn't on sale. She has had a consistent attitude the last 3 times we've encountered her and due to this, we have decided to discuss other options with my mother's medicare benefits and transfer her medicine to a different pharmacy. This place always has wrong tags on items and gives a major attitude when you question the price on the tag. Management is disturbingly rude and honestly makes going there an absolute nightmare. This store is a mess. Prices are not marked, wrong prices. The pharmacy is the worst. The lady there was combative with me and just so unhelpful. I'm not going back even though it's around the corner from my home read more

Recommend calling ahead before picking up because if u come here despite receiving a text that the medication is ready, they still are not ready when you go to pick up and ask you to wait an inordinate amount of time. I just hate this non-truthful communication. If it's not ready, say it. Don't say it is ready and then it is clearly not even filled yet read more

I had to switch to CVS Pharmacy after my health insurance started charging extra for Rite Aid prescriptions. I was a little bit reluctant but a year later, I have to say this CVS has exceeded all of my expectations and saved the day on several occasions! I am traveling out of the country and needed to get my flu shot as well as Hep A vaccine. I traveled all over the South Hills at several different urgent care centers and called around to PCPs to try to get an ASAP appointment. I had no luck. I found one place that was going to charge me an arm and a leg & didn't take insurance, and I was about to give in to that ripoff. I basically gave up on trying, then on my way home I stopped by CVS at almost 8:00 in the evening to pick up my prescription and get a quick flu shot, and there on the counter was a flyer for Hep A vaccine. I COULDNT BELIEVE IT! They ran my insurance and I was able to get both the flu shot and Hep A at no cost. I cannot thank them enough (though I thanked them a hundred times while I was there) because they truly came through for me when I had no hope!!! [just an FYI - I do not know if they always carry this vaccine or not, so don't quote me on that. they just happened to have it available when I went! They do however have the flu shot and it is done right there at the pharmacy. Quick and easy]. Because they truly saved the day for me, I had to go on Yelp and write a review. This location is top notch and they make everything so easy. I will continue to give them my business because they have earned it. I also signed up for text messages, so they let me know my prescription is ready. If I forget for a couple of days, they'll send another with an expiration on when they will be returning my prescription to the shelf. I can appreciate this extra step because sometimes life just gets so busy you forget to do little (but very important) things like this! I love the pharmacy drive thru- they are open late and I am able to swing by and pick up the prescription in seconds. When I venture into the store for prescription pick up and/or browsing, I'm always able to snag a few things on sale or clearance that saves me a trip to the grocery store! I don't care about the other reviews, or that this is a huge corporation, they have earned my business and my trust! I went to pick up a prescription they did not have it so when I asked The pharmacist told me he was too busy to find another pharmacy. He was rude and inconsiderate. I wouldn't use this pharmacy as long as he works there. read more

This is a clean, well-stocked, bright store. The employees are polite, quite willing to show you where items are, or answer questions. The only improvement they should make is to instruct the cashiers to call for help if there's 3+ people waiting to check out. Store hours are 8 am-10 pm, Monday-Saturday. read more

They have what ya need. It's a well-kept store. Convenience notwithstanding, did the old South Hills Theater really need to be demolished to make way for this CVS when another just like it already stands 5 minutes away on Brookline Boulevard? This review is mostly for the pharmacy. The pharmacy is pretty poor. They refill things when you don't want them. They don't refill things when you need them even after telling them and calling them.when they tell you they fixed it...they didn't. They HOUND you on the phone daily with reminders for things that can't be filled or have already been sk.. They have shorted me and my mother medication constantly. Like I get it they have a serious internal issue with the computer systems but you would think a human checking over things would spot the problems. 50% of the time they are friendly at the pharmacy and the other 50% of the time they act like you are ruining thier day. Because you dare come to the counter to pick up your meds. If you have a question well get ready to hear the loud huffing. I wish I didn't have to use CVS but they ran the last good mom and pop pharmacy out of town. They also started having security on site. They don't seem to do much but stand there on thier cell phones or outside smoking. I guess that's what they call secure. Also they sure do mark up items in that store. At least $3 more versus rite aid or Amazon. Unless they have a good sale on something you need, I'd suggest you pass picking up the basics from here. read more

Friendly staff, professional service. I've been coming to this pharmacy for about 2 years now.

The associates at the pharmacy are incredibly unfriendly and even rude at times. I know this location absorbed alot of patients after a nearby pharmacy closed, and I foresee alot of patients looking elsewhere to get their scrips filled because the customer service is TERRIBLE. It's very unfortunate because this particular location has a wonderful selection of items and the associates in front are always very friendly. read more

I love this CVS. The cashiers are always friendly. I'm one of those people who uses a ton of coupons, and they are always so patient!

I am very unhappy with the pharmacy service at this CVS, they did not submit my husband's prescription to our insurance, instead running it through a "discount card" (no idea where they got that as we did not give it to them) and charging us $$ when the medication, which is generic and very common, is supposed to be FREE under our insurance. This is blatant theft by deception. My husband did not know how much it should cost and just paid what they said. When I questioned them a couple days later, because the amount did not match any of our copayments, they told us to bring the receipt back in the store and they would give us a refund. But we can't because we already threw away the paperwork. Why should we need to bring in the receipt, they obviously have the purchase record in their system? The worst part is they did this trick to us 2 months in a row, and would have continued if I had not questioned why we were being charged so much for a very common and cheap medication. Moral of the story is be very careful at the pharmacy as they will rip you off if you don't pay close attention to what you are being charged. read more
