I would give Benzer Pharmacy 10 stars if I could!!…read more Before I tried Benzer Pharmacy I filled my prescriptions at Walmart because I assumed Walmart always offered the lowest prices; I was so wrong. While Walmart is indeed cheaper than Publix, filling my medication with Benzer is literally 1/3 the price of Walmart... and FAST! No more waiting 2-5 hours before the prescription is filled. Benzer has never taken more than 15 minutes to have it filled from the time I call it in, to the time it's ready for pick up. I'm not even exaggerating. Price(s) for same exact medication/prescription I've been filling monthly for two years now: Publix: over $50 (Full disclosure, I haven't filled my prescription at Publix in over 18 months. That was the cost at that time.) Walmart: $32.73 Benzer: $11.24 (for the exact same medication) My only regret is that it took me 2 years to try Benzer. And, get this: I only did so because I was willing to pay more if it meant I didn't have to wait 2-5 hours for Walmart to fill the prescription; it was always 2 trips; drop off, and back again to pick it up. Benzer Pharmacy, thank you for not price-gouging your medications!! I'll recommend you every chance I get.

This is not specific to this CVS but to ALL CVS pharmacies; the "new leave a message and someone…read morewill return your call" (and leave you a message) is horrible patient care and fosters poor interaction. Great for pharmacy as it cuts down on interruptions (that is why they have front personnel, right?) but lousy for patients as they never get to speak with the pharmacist or pharmacy personnel and get their questions answered. It is an awful practice and CVS should be ashamed of themselves for having instituted such a horrid practice. I did the phone tag scenario today with the pharmacy and was frustrated and ended up repeating my message several times (the pharmacy tech did not pick up on the question posed the first time and did not answer my question so I had to call back). She got offended and never called back the second time. Great interaction! CVS and this phone tag system is an exercise in frustration and one that is not for me! Time to look for another pharmacy.

In an era where our local Walgreens are contracting into small express marts, it was pleasant to shop in a full-size pharmacy. They had a good variety of the toiletry items we sought (maybe too good a selection-how many types of dental floss does society really need?) and we found a couple of sale snack impulse buys while we were at it. The young cashier was very personable, a little more rare than you might think. If I need a pharmacy again while we are visiting here, I will seek this out rather than one of the other ones seemingly on every corner.

We had our son's Pedia Derma send for a refill due to them filling the prior WITHOUT the bottle…read moreadapter fitting needed for a syringe to take out 5mL of the medicine needed for his itching condition. My wife went inside in person and explicitly asked the Pharmacy rep if they included the white round thing for the syringe to take the medicine out the bottle. The rep looked at the bag and said yes it should be on there. This is important as 1/4 to 1/3 variant on bottle size will be either wasted or spilled on the floor or needed to be poured into a bowl sucked into syringe and funneled back into the bottle in which it came. This is not sanitary by any means. Wife gets home I open the bag and sure enough no bottle adapter. Called them about it. The girl on the phone stated its not required (but was surely asked and lied too) and that 9 of 10 patients dont need it (but again we asked for it specifically as did Dr. Kumar). Then she goes on about saying that it was not put on there because they have been out of it for a few months now... (so why tell my wife it was included to begin with?). Then when I asked it why she told my wife yes, she proceeds to tell me "I didn't sell it to her intentionally without it" my reply "but you just told me you have been out of the adapters for a few months.... so you knowingly sold it to her knowing it wasn't included even when asked before paying for it." She was speechless and then I told her not to lie to me and that I will be stopping by in person and we would be having our medicine filled elsewhere. If they will lie and deceive us with something such as an adapter for a liquid medicine prescription there is no telling what else they will lie about. Can't trust them and wont get a 2nd chance with it either. The rep did call my wife asking where we wanted to move our fill-ups moving forward. I took over the call and stated I would stop by tomorrow to speak with Pharmacy Mgr. and store manager she stated he wont be in until Monday. I will be stopping by then. As for the price we paid I will be submitting a dispute for it since 1/3 of this big bottle cannot be syringed without wasting it and that's not what we paid for nor was the adapter included when required by Dr. Kumar and my wife's requirement before paying for it.
