I had the opportunity to witness first hand what I have always felt when filling a prescription at this location... they must not care about your business. While waiting for a prescription I dropped off 3 hours ago I personally saw 5 other customers who left without their medicine. I also heard a tech in a very loud voice tell a customer that had also come back at requested time that since they were getting a "controlled substance" it would be an additional wait. What happened to privacy and HIPPA? I heard excuses from computer issues to insurance issues and finally they were too busy to assist with insurance. They have everything you expect from a grocery store and then some. There's a sushi counter, hot food you can order to eat in their seating area, and a Starbucks. Lots of fresh produce, beer and wine, deli, fish and meat market, bakery, flower market, and probably more that I'm missing. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The store stays busy and fast moving. The people walking you out to help load your car are a great unique touch.

The two people behind the counter at the front were at least friendly. Tonight (1-9-23 @ approx 8:45-9:00), as I was walking through the store I heard a young woman and young man talking in the make-shift managers office. I could not see them but could hear the entire conversation, complete with colorful language from the female. When I headed to the checkout, there was a young man who had been standing there for quite a while. He asked me if I knew where to pick up items that had been ordered online. THERE WAS NOT AN EMPLOYEE TO BE SEEN IN THE ENTIRE STORE! I told him I could hear them in the office. He said he heard them, but they wouldn't come out. I went to the door and knocked. When the young man opened the door I tried to explain that there was a gentleman at the front counter needing assistance. It obviously fell on deaf ears because he walked right past me and did not even acknowledge I had spoken. He was rude! I was shocked as it was Christmas morning! There was a drive-thru lane for the pharmacy, however, I needed a couple more items for my child which a friendly employee let me purchase along with her prescription. So grateful for these folks! Convenient location off of Slide Road near both the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Texas Loop 289. Ample free, parking all around. This is one of the very few 24-hour pharmacies in Lubbock, Texas.

I'm learning that the HEB brands are okay in most cases, but their chips and other items have bioengineered (genetically-modified) ingredients that are probably also in other items I buy, but it's disappointing... something to watch since there still isn't much information about the health risks. The staff members stay fairly busy so they don't go out of their way to assist folks, but our cashier was real friendly. The Texas section is one of my favorites.
