I went to STUARTS instead. The pharmacist at STUARTS (an old man with grey beard) was rude and had a nasty, condescending attitude. He wouldn't fill the prescription because it had the PA's name on it and not the doctor. I drove all the way back to hospital, got new script with doctor's name on it. Back at the pharmacy, same pharmacist has the cashier tell me that he's not filling the script again because it's dated for the next day, (which it WASN'T. The 8 looked like a 9, but with closer inspection you could see that it was the lack of pen pressure when the doctor rewrote it.) This pharmacy also shorted me in the past on medication for a family member, by SEVENTY PILLS - which I got - but not without a struggle. That's one of the reasons I stopped going there. I think he may have remembered the incident, and that was why he was being such a jerk. I went to WALGREEN'S on Sunrise Highway, and they filled it in 5 minutes, with no hassles. I'll never step foot in Stuarts Pharmacy again.

I didn't think anything of it until I took them and got sick. It was definitely the filler. Also certain companies that make the generics are allowed to vary the main ingredient up to 20%. (That's why they switched..The new generics are cheaper) When I found all of this out, I didn't go into a whole thing with the pharmacy but I did ask if they could keep the regular ones on hand since I've been filling my meds with them for years. He said no. A firm no. So I went to Diamond Drugs and explained my situation and sure enough, they went out of their way to help me....and help me they did! I'm so happy with them. I found this hidden gem in Old Bethpage right next to Dunkin' Donuts. I deal directly with the owner and if he is not there the employees are so helpful and accommodating- love them! I have 3 kids and sometimes they pop outside to hand it off to me so I don't have to get out of the car or hook it up with a lollipop. There is something to be said about an independently owned business vs. a corporate business; you definitely lose focus on the customer. So glad we found this place, recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new pharmacy!
