Depending on what hours you work, it can be really difficult to make it here when they're actually open. Also, I have had a specific medication backordered several times. Last time, it wasn't backordered, but they were only able to fill one month of my three month supply. Most recently, even the drive-through was closed and upon entering, there were four or five people in line to be checked out by a single person. The computer was slow and everyone waited a while. There is not anything efficient or convenient about this location. If I didn't get a discount for coming here through my insurance, I would have changed pharmacies a long time ago.

The layout is perfection. It's late summer in KC which means I need to throw the kitchen sink at my nose and throat to keep the allergies at bay. They must know the ragweed feeling because they had some good specials on Flonase and the like. And at the CVS on Holmes and Red Bridge Rd, I tried 3 times over 1.5 hr. at drive-through to pick up 2 family scripts around 1230 pm. Three cars in front of me 2 times. Did not move. When I went back the third time to the drive-through, there was a sign on the window that said they were closed for their break. Front end is great (we love Donna!) and the pharmacy is just as incredible. They know us by name and always have a smile and a kind word for our little girl who is 5 and lives to go in there for a balloon! While Walgreens is not the least expensive store in town, it's not overpriced either, and stellar customer service goes a long way. I've never had a problem with a long wait at any of the counters (front end, photo or pharmacy) and really appreciate being able to get in, get out and be on our way.
