I find the store to be open, user friendly & always a sale abounding, I'm a fan. Additionally, I like their reward card program as you are often greeted, in email or at the store, with free or majorly discounted items. Hello. I got a free roll of paper towels just for frequenting the store & purchasing items. In comparison to other programs where it takes forever to amass the necessary points/balance to get anything free or a discount. So, way to go CVS... Booze, real rewards & late hours... First off, the store is actually nicer than the typical CVS since the store was actually built by Eckard's. It also tends to be well stocked. Unfortunately, that's about where the good news ends. My first complaint is that the pharmacy at this location is no longer 24-hours (even though it continues to be advertised as such). Apparently, the nearest 24-hour CVS pharmacy is located deep within New Orleans proper. You read that right, as of this writing there are NO 24-hour CVS pharmacies located anywhere on the East Bank of Jefferson Parish. Second, (and I should note I've dealt with many people here over the years) the woman who is currently the head pharmacist during the evening hours is quite rude. Furthermore, after a series of recent issues, I request a call from the District Manager. I provided my information and was promised a call back. It has now been over 2 weeks and no one has reached out to me. What this says to me as a customer is that CVS (or at least whoever is operating the local district) has zero commitment to customer service and zero commitment to providing a satisfactory customer experience. Switching to WALGREEN'S across the street. The pharmacist Kiet Hoang is rude and unfriendly. Has laughed at customers when asking for help and has stated that other pharmacists are less capable than him at their job. While trying to refill prescriptions for my diabetic grandmother visiting from out of the country, they have been unhelpful and rude. The customer service is sub par, and I wouldn't be surprised if over the years their clientele list has decreased, as I have talked to neighbors and others that have made the switch. They are not good for the friendly neighborhood atmosphere we have here in Chateau. read more

Frankly, I decided to use Walgreens--across the street. On Wednesday I stood in line waiting my turn to pick up a prescription and had to listen to a pharmacist speaking on the speaker phone with a friend--very loud. Frankly, I had no interest in understanding her decorating plans and other stuff I heard from her and the guy she was speaking with--and candidly, I am glad that she wasn't working on my prescription while she was talking. I asked to speak to the supervising pharmacist and got no response--I expect that was her. read more

So glad that Walgreen's and Express Scripts have worked out an agreement. We were forced to switch to CVS last year due to insurance. We have had problems with almost EVERY Rx filled there. Sorry CVS, you had your chance for a new customer. read more

Rude pharmacy employees. High prices. Get your prescriptions filled elsewhere if possible. Pharmacists especially rude.

This is the 2nd time I have gone to this particular CVS in the last few months & the 2nd time they didn't have my medication. I asked when it would be in thinking probably tomorrow but no not until the end of next week. I questioned this since it's a very common medicine & was told it was 1st come 1st serve! Doesn't sound like any pharmacy lingo I've ever heard before. The girl working the drive thru wasn't very friendly about it either. I'll go to Walgreens or Destrehan Pharmacy in the future since CVS doesn't need my business. read more

If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. I have lived in Chateau for years and have used the pharamcy there with Ms. Isaac with no problems whatsoever. But Kiet Hoang, one of the new pharmicists there, is the asolute worst pharmacist. He has yelled at me, refused to assist me, refused to properly submit my grandmother's medications using vacation override, and when I have complained and requested assitance - he has blatantly laughed in my face. I have seen him ignore older clients and I have seen him put patients on the telephone on hold for endless amounts of time. He is the absolute worst. I will be filing a complaint with the corproate office, the local office, and the better business bureau. If you want to receive your medications on time with friendly service and ease, avoid this place at all costs. I am switching to Walgreens. read more
