I called & stated that I was five minutes away from the pharmacy and I needed to get a flu vaccination for school. He told me that they are about to close. (They close at 6pm) I called them 15-20 minutes before closing time. I explained that I work in healthcare and I am a nurse, too. I understand, but I am in desperate need of this shot this evening. I proceeded to tell them how I couldn't receive the vaccine at my regular pharmacy due to recent changes in insurance policies. The man on the phone kept turning me down & said no because it was going to take 15 minutes to do my paperwork. He kept repeating that they were about to close. I begged and said I was on 2 minutes away. He asked the girl who was working with him in pharmacy if she felt like doing paperwork for a flu shot & she told him no, so then he told me no. He caught himself trying to apologize and he said no, then hung up the phone in my face. 1. It does not take 15 minutes to sign a consent form and complete a questionnaire for the flu vaccine. I am a nurse I do this all the time for my patients. 2 I only chose DBS pharmacy this evening because it is closer to home. My job is on the other side of town. I will never ever step foot in this pharmacy nor recommend anyone here ever again. If you are in need of a last minute flu vaccine please, drive to Sam's Club. They took me as a walk in. Second, they failed to verbally inform me prior to receiving the vaccine that it was going to cost me over $300. Had they done so, I would have held off and considered another option. The confirmation email said nothing about cost, I have never paid for one at Castellon before, and I have the exact same insurance that I did last year when I got the COVID vaccine. Finally, when I did learn the price, the cashier laughed and said "I wouldn't have gotten it." Pretty sure they've just lost a customer.

My favorite thing they did was refuse to fill my prescription "because my insurance wasn't paying for it." My insurance literally had receipts. Whatever. Now I've finally switched to Walgreens but I had one last prescription there that they owed me 15 on and now they're refusing to transfer that to Walgreens. What a nightmare. I do not suggest ever doing business with these people, you'll be lucky if you even get your medications.
