I have add prescriptions filled incorrectly here. Vaccine center is always behind. Expect to wait 20-30 min after your appointment time for a vaccination. Very incompetent staff. Rude and needs customer service training. read more

I wasn't that impressed with this location because a lot of the stock on the shelves was missing, many many empty shelves. As a result I had difficulty trying to pick up some different food items that I wanted for the hotel room that I was staying in. The staff at the front counter was friendly and did help me check out my items at the self check out. read more

This CVS Pharmacy location is close by the harbor. After checking out one of the 911 memorials and just sitting for a while at one of the benches at the harbor, my husband, our little girl dog and I decided to walk back to our car. I wanted to use the restroom and also wanted to pick up a few snacks for the road since we will be driving back to Pennsylvania the next day. Originally, my husband was just going to stand outside with our dog while I went inside to ask to use the restroom and purchase some snacks afterwards. But we were surprised to see 2 other couples inside with their dogs. So we decided to just walk inside with our dogs. Employees saw us and the other couples with their dogs and did not seem bothered by it, nor did they ask us to leave or tell us that our dog was not allowed inside. Anyways, I asked an employee at the register if I could use the restroom. This employee left the register and walked me over and let me, my husband and our little girl dog (since my husband decided he wanted to use it too) in immediately. The ladies restroom was clean and adequately stocked with the essentials. Afterwards, I ended up purchasing some Nice! branded shelled pistachios. The same employee whom let us into the restroom ended up ringing up my transaction. I thanked him again for helping us and he said it was no problem. I appreciated that he never seemed annoyed and was just in good spirits. Overall, a this CVS is a nice location that is convenient for picking snacks and was also a bonus that they had clean restrooms for customers to use. read more

Failure of filling the prescription, giving wrong information, unable to collaborate with their business partner, not picking up the phone call, lying to the customer, even you want to give them up, they were unable to complete a prescription transfer. This is a quadruple nightmare. I wish I could write 4 separate independent reviews to show how this is a failure of service at so many levels! it ruined me my entire afternoon and my next day to fix them all by myself, such a waste of time to the extent that I don't even mind wasting another 1-2 hours of my own time writing a lengthy complaint where there is nothing to gain. The pharmacist yesterday was horrendously irresponsible and incompetent. she refused to get me my prescription, insisting I need to provide her the RMA number. After 2 hours of reaching out to different parties and doing research myself, I found from the treatment program that this RMA is a pharmacist-specific number. The pharmacist needs to contact the program to get this number. After I told the pharmacist what she should do, she lied to me saying she already called and the program said it's my responsibility. I called the program again and found out she didn't contact the program at all after checking all the previous records on my case. this is beyond irresponsibility, it's lying. She is incompetent because she neither knew what the right thing to do nor even knew the meaning of RMA number (Risk Management Authorization Number), she told me this is REMS number (See attached). She is irresponsible because she refused to call my prescriber for clarification; refused to take phone calls from my phone even I dial for her; and eventually, the program called her after I begged them, she didn't pick up the call for 40 minutes. So the agent from the program, one for their business partner, had to hang up. In the end, she lied as a medical professional claiming she just called the program with the opposite answer that I received but the program afterward said she didn't call at all after checking the record. Put you in my shoes, as a patient what option do I have here? update: I ended up transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy across the street(Downtown Pharmacy). and BTW, Downtown Pharmacy picked up my phone call within 1 minute, and without me doing anything I got my prescription the next day. I felt sorry for them though because they also have to call CVS and waited for 30 minutes before anybody picks up the phone call. noted this is a business partner calling them for business!! (The drama actually didn't end here. CVS on 88 Morgan Street only transferred half of my prescription over, the prescription from the same doctor treating the same problem. This doesn't make any logical sense and I had to waste another trip to pick them up again the next day) For anybody who is considering this place, before you make up your mind, try calling this CVS's phone number (201) 433-3510 and compared the experience with other local pharmacies by yourselves. Staff is sometimes more interested in chatting with customers rather than working and thus there sometimes is a long line!! Couple of times they ran out of the products in the fridges and no one was able to tell me when the delivery will be... really? You run the store and you are not sure if the next delivery will be today, tomorrow, next week or maybe next year? On the positive side, person working in the pharmacy division was always very helpful with assisting in choosing some OTC medications. No issues with that portion! read more

The good: This is a new location; first tenant at this space as well if I remember correctly. I have never seen a long line or crowd within. Very fast out the door. The bad: Not sure what the deal with their supply chain is, but they are more often than not out of the essentials (I mean milk/eggs/cheese and the likes). How can you leave the whole refrigerator isle in the store with not a single item in it ? This has happened enough number of times that nowadays I plan to buy from elsewhere whenever I need to use a product the same day. Ugly: No flue shots in flue season. Yikes. The helpless pharmacist mentioned that they received ***one*** box of flu shots that morning after being out of stock for several days, which was clearly insufficient since they apparently didn't even last the whole day, despite this being one of the least crowded pharmacies in the area. I ended up getting the flu shot from Grove Street's Duane Reade where business is doing so well that it took me 30 mins in the line to reach the counter. Not a surprise since they don't keep half the store empty. read more

Exactly what we needed in the area. The workers are always friendly, and the selection of products is solid. It's so convenient, I find myself here at least once or twice a week. The prices aren't terribly high for convenience, especially if you have one of their coupons that they constantly send out. read more

The worst CVS I've walked in to. Zero customer service from both sides of the store. You try to call & they'll pick up and hang up without even saying a word. I walked in to get a prescription & was told to come back because they were unsure of when their system would be back up, the lady behind the counter also requested that I call the hospital so they can send her my prescriptions, mind you I walked in with the printed prescription in hand & my ID straight from the hospital & she said they couldn't take that which is complete BS since the hospital asks you directly wether you'd like them to send it out or print it out & you bring it yourself to a pharmacy. It's so convenient to live across from a store like this but when it lacks so much customer service it kind of makes you think twice about walking in. I wish they were better staffed/trained to deal with customers better, at the end of the day we are the reason why they remain open. read more

Unfortunate poor customer service experience due to an employee coming very late to work causing stress for remaining employee working all by herself and a mix up caused by lack of communication between fellow employees. Checked in 855AM for 9AM vaccine appt. Yvette the pharmacist apologized saying the vaccine computer is down so she had to reboot it and will take 30-40 minutes and to come back then. I left and came back at 930AM and Yvette said vaccine computer is still rebooting and to wait longer. Yvette said she was working by herself in the pharmacy department since 830AM because her co-worker was late stuck on the highway. I waited until 1005AM when pharmacist intern Meera P arrived to work only to start to call out 2 names of people here for vaccines that checked in after me with later appts. She then told a 3rd person who also got there later than me with a later appt than mine to check in for her vaccine appt. while I was just standing there waiting with them. When it looked like these 3 people were going to be seen for their vaccines before me, I said that I was there much earlier at 855AM checked in for my vaccine appt for 9AM before everyone else there. When Yvette overheard me saying this she asked for my name and confirmed my name was in her computer as already checked in for my vaccine and then tells me she will send it over to Meera P's computer. Yvette then tells Meera P "No, she is first" while pointing at me. Only then does Meera P put me first in line to get my vaccine. CVS pharmacy needs to notify people ahead of time by text if there is going to be a delay and give you a new later time to arrive. It should be possible to implement this function since they already text you to send you reminders about your vaccine appt and they also text you to check in for the vaccine appt. CVS pharmacy employees shouldn't skip over someone who checked in the earliest with the earliest vaccine appt who was turned away came back and then waited. This mix up could have been avoided if Yvette spoke to Meera P when she arrived to work and told her I was there first before everyone else. I was upset and wanted to give only a 1 star rating but after calming down I changed it to 3 stars because I understand this was an extenuating circumstance and both employees were stressed and the mistakes couldn't be avoided given the circumstances. It would be nice if both employees read this review so they can see how it looks from a customer's point of view and learn from it and find ways to address these kind of issues so they don't happen to anyone else. Really nice and new CVS. It is always clean and the lines aren't ever long at the cash register. What drives me crazy is that they have all these refrigerators for cold food items but they always seem to be empty every time I stop in. While I know CVS isn't a good market, if they sold refrigerated basic items (such as shredded cheese), I think they would make a killing. There aren't any other small markets in the area read more

Pretty much an oasis in the middle of a desert, this CVS just opened up after teasing us for a year. It sits right underneath 65 Bay St and is exactly what this neighborhood needs. Worst CVS pharmacy ever. I have been trying to get my prescription filled for the past two weeks here and they keep telling me they are out of stock. How can something take that long to come in and her explanation was just mind blowing says the shipment keeps getting cancelled. Hands down the worst pharmacy I've ever patronized. I live very close to this location, so when I have a prescription to fill, I would enjoy the convenience of filling here. To date that has never happened. They are consistently out of every single medication, from eye drops to prescription strength ibuprofen. This is not based off of a one off scenario either... the aforementioned stocking issue never improves. It's honestly difficult to fathom how perpetually under stocked they are given the CVS brand. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other pharmacy around. read more
