This is one busy CVS. If you are any where near this CVS during lunch time you will see a packed parking lot. Not only is this a busy CVS, this is the busiest CVS Pharmacy in the Northeast Florida area. These pharmacists worker bees work like crazy filling prescriptions so if you need a prescription come early AM or for sure you are going to wait for your medication. The floor CVS staff is warm and friendly and is always happy to help you if your lost, meaning you can't find what your looking for. Be careful in the parking lot as it is small and busy. I don't know what's going on with CVS, particularly this location. I seem to have such difficulty every time I need to fill a prescription. If you want to call and talk to someone you can never reach a person when you call. Instead you have to leave a voicemail and have someone call you back. Every time I'm here in person, my interactions with staff are pleasant and professional enough. I can tell they are a busy pharmacy and never see people doing nothing. But gosh it's hard to be a customer here. And as far as giving any feedback? I've tried. I've spent more time I should have trying to give them feedback since 2008 hoping that something would improve here. It's just not possible. They either do things the poopy way, or no way. Calling the automated system is a nightmare especially when needing tp speak to a technician. It gives no option to speak to someone.

This was one of the worst pharmacy experiences I've had. The front of the store can't transfer calls to the pharmacy, and the automated system is a nightmare that blocks you from ever reaching a real person. For a pharmacy, where patients depend on timely medications and urgent answers, this is completely unacceptable. I was just trying to confirm if my uncle's post-surgery prescription had been filled, but the system made it impossible to speak with anyone. Don't get me wrong, the pharmacists and pharmacy techs are kind and they work their butts off. However, this CVS has been severely understaffed for over a year. I get my meds filled every 90 days, so I only have to deal with it every 3 months. I'm now looking to get my medications moved to a different pharmacy because sitting in line for over an hour just to pick up a medication is ridiculous. I'm sitting in line right now and it's taking 20-25 minutes per car. I got in line with 5 cars in front of me. The inside is no different, if not worse. read more

I haven't used the actual pharmacy potion of this location, so I can't comment there. However, since they are open 24/7 (both the store and pharmacy), I do find myself here often in the middle of the night when I need something because I happen to live in one of the areas of Jacksonville where Walmart isn't open 24/7 (thank you, criminals). I should also mention that I've only been here in the middle of the night. We are usually the only people in the store. We're always greeted immediately when we walk in and asked if we need help with anything. The staff is really friendly. I'm not sure if it's just because they are bored and happy to see other faces or if they are always this friendly. Regardless, it's nice to have such friendly, attentive staff. They have a very small grocery section, but it's sufficient for the middle of the night munchies. They always have my Ben & Jerry's ice cream! We have been approached a couple of times at 3 in the morning by vagrants begging for money in the parking lot. This is not a really good area of town, so women should especially be careful here in the middle of the night. I wouldn't dare come here and get out of the car without my husband by my side. I also keep my taser in hand. If in a better part of town, I'd give another star, but it loses one because I have to look over my shoulder and worry if I may get shot. They built a new CVS at River City Marketplace. You'd think they'd have that one open 24/7 rather than this one. There's a Redbox located outside the store. read more

This location pharmacy will leave you on hold for 30 minutes and then hang up in your face. I have called back and spoken to the store manager who told me that the phone automatically hangs up after 30 minutes. She physically walked back to try to get help for me but no help came. I then called in again and after 10 minutes on hold, the phone hung up. The manager was very kind when I called back in and she walked all the way back to the pharmacy again, got the information I needed, and came back up front to let me know. That's going beyond the call of duty on her part, but the pharmacy really is a mess. This is not the first time this has happened. It's happened to me at least 3 or 4 other times and no doubt it will continue to happen until the head honcho's get involved and set some rules or hire enough people to provide adequate service to its thriving customer base. read more

Convenient, great location & friendly staff says it all! This is a 24/7 store right on a Dunn. I've found the staff to be helpful no matter what time of day or shift which tells me is part of their training & is monitored &/or evaluated. Great job! Last time I went to the pharmacy, the tech noticed I had a high cost prescription even after applying my insurance & applied a savings card that saved me an additional $70 instantly then gave me the card to use each time I fill it! This is got to be the worse pharmacy I have ever tried to use. Every month when we need to have my sons meds refilled there is a problem. We take in a written prescription from the doctor's office as soon as we get it, or the day or two before he runs out (ADHD meds) and his insurance is Medicaid. (He was a foster child we adopted, so he has FL Medicaid for life). Anyway, last night I tried to pick up the meds and they weren't ready, they were suppose to be ready the day before; I forgot to go get them --- so they had an extra day and still they weren't ready! The 'young lady' told me a bunch of stuff without checking, such as having to call the doctor for approval. And, even after I explained we brought in the 8' x11 paper sized prescription, with all the info from the doctor, and we had been getting this for same med for 3+ years. Well, not any more; we will be switching, which means we will have to start over with a new pharmacy next month. I should have made the switch a long time ago, this one is just so convenient to both the doctor's office and our home. My aunt has had lots of problems too with this pharmacy and not having her meds filled on time. The store part of this CVS is well stocked and the front counter clerks are always very friendly and usually quick to open up a register if there is a line. I keep hoping for a new pharmacy manager or techs who act like they care, and gets there job done right. read more

Great location Dunn Avenue with parking as well as a bus stop out front. The store venue is the same as the others and the layout might be a little different. The employees are very friendly, courteous and helpful. However, this particular day, 4/7/16, they were unable to provide a sale ad and wasn't able to confirm which items were on sale. I took my phone out and Google the ad foe the week, the items were still ringing up wrong All in all this is my neighborhood store. read more

This is your normal drug store. We needed drugs that they have drugs to sell. We had the prescription and everything. We dropped off our prescription in the drive thru and they seemed it necessary to know my wife's whole medical life. It was antibiotics not the good stuff. Ok after about 10 minutes we were off for an hour. We they texted us that it was ready the real waiting was on. Even thou there were 5 pharmacy folks back there nobody wanted to come help us. You just have to love it. You feel like warmed over poo poo and they want you to wait just those extra minutes. Finally we got what we needed and off we went into the warm comfy bed. Do not..I repeat, DO NOT use the pharmacy at this location. I dropped off 3 perscriptions and called back 3 times within 24 hours to verify if I could pick up my medications and they had not even been filled. They hadn't touch my prescriptions. Each time I was told, it will be ready in a couple of hours. This is my first time using CVS pharmacy. I will not continue to using this CVS Pharmacy location. I'm not aware if there are problems at other CVS locations, but I WILL NOT EVER use this one again. You'll die waiting for your medications. read more
