I was clearly wearing a blazer and my name badge, who steals wearing a name badge? But anyways, I was in the drink aisle which also happens to be the liquor aisle. As I had my back turned to the liquor my bookbag bumped a bottle of New Amsterdam and I turned to make sure it didn't fall and kept looking at the drinks trying to find Powerade. Next thing I hear over the intercom is "customer needs assistance in liquor aisle." I was the ONLY person in the aisle, probably the only one in the store at that time. I didn't need assistance and if they thought I was going to steal a rinky dink bottle Of New Amsterdam they thought wrong. Nobody even came to assist me if that was the case, it was just a notification to watch me! Oh how much I love being racially profiled!

To be fair, I know you can't always control who applies to work there, and every place needs employees. Still, I wish it hadn't slipped so low in the last 6-8 months. I hate leaving negative reviews, and I'd love to update it in the future if things change. Other Walgreens stores in town are awesome, and if corporate replaced current management at this location, I have no doubt that things would soon improve here too! It's not too far from my house, and I've always been able to get what I need from Walgreens. Unfortunately, I'll have to make the switch to the CVS next door. Customer service all prescriptions would have been taken back to the pharmacy. They gave me their number and Emily sadly told me, that they weren't brought any prescriptions. She asked me what it was & I told her my Suboxone & gabapentin. (Both of which I knew many certain people could've/would've taken.) She & Tyler went on a hunt. She sent Tyler to customer service and just as they told her they didn't have it- Tyler found it in CUSTOMER SERVICE! (So the first time I called she didn't bother to look at all.) She told me they would be there a bit after closing (7pm) and I could get it through the drive threw pick up. She asked me to fill out a survey if I got the text. I never did so hopefully one of their supervisors see & acknowledge what they did for me yesterday. I'm a recovering IV heroin user and I've been going to treatment for a year and a half. I only go to my doctors monthly for my drug test now. I was really really positive that my meds were gone and I was honestly scared. So thank you so much Emily & Tyler from veterans memorial pkwy in the Walmart pharmacy!!

Being in a very rural area like the south end…read moreof Rensselaer does make it better because they offer speed, friendliness, and a drive-thru pharmacy that other local stores don't offer including the older and very undersized WalMart across the street. As with all Walgreen's locations the prices here are a little higher and even more so on the alcohol and vitamin categories. I've really been impressed with the friendly employees here. They are sincere in their greetings and offers to assist. On my last visit I found a sale on body wash that was way cheaper than WalMart but I hadn't intended on getting more than two small items while there. The cosmetics employee asked if I needed a cart or basket and when I said a basket would be nice she ran to her register to get one. Truly focused on customer service. For the size of the store they pack a lot of selection in here. Everything is full and faced and well organized. Something other stores at this end of town can't say. Seasonal items seem fairly priced and the day after the season ends they offer deep discounts to move the rest of it out. After Christmas I found some real bargains and the quality of the merchandise was slightly better than other local stores. Currently they are full of Valentines stuff and have some great looking gifts. There is also an Easter section likely to grow after Valentines day. Having the only drive thru pharmacy in town is a huge benefit. Always better to keep the sick people out of the store, right? Even with prices slightly higher than the few stores in this area I'll be shopping here for the friendly employees and the fact I spend just 1/3 of the time getting the same stuff here as I would at the crazy and poorly stocked place across the street.
