The parking lot doesn't seem large enough for the store. This is a larger Harris Teeter and has everything you might be looking for. This store had more brands and variety than the Harris Teeter I frequent. The store ready made food and a large produce section, bakery, meat department and deli. A pharmacy is in the front part of the store too.

Years ago when as a parent of an asthmatic daughter, my husband had abandoned us and left us without any money, this pharmacy GAVE me my daughters inhaler and steroids, without me asking or having to explain why I did not have the money. They didn't write it down and say "pay it later" ( which I did anyways 2 years later) That kind of business deserves to be supported and praised. Forever grateful! AB

I explained to pharmacy technician Rayda, that I've only been taking it as prescribed so how can that be? She went above and beyond to help me find out why I may have run short so soon. Because of her customer service and willingness to listen and help me out, she and the Pharmacist onduty were able to see that I didn't receive the entire prescription previously (90 day supply but only received 45 days) Thanks Rayda for your willingness to help! Delays I could understand, but I don't like being brushed off and lied to. At 6:00 I called and asked about the status, and was told they would be ready between 6:45 and 7:00. I explained that I live at least 20 minutes away and I knew they would close at 8:00, and was told (abruptly, as if I was being a bother), "We'll call you by 7:00." At 7:15 my husband started driving, although no one had called yet. When he arrived at 7:45, the prescriptions were indeed ready...but we have yet to receive that call. If he hadn't gone anyway, I would have had another sleepless night with bronchitis, even though my doctor ordered these prescriptions at 1:00 today. I wish this were the first such incident with this Walgreens, but it's not. The regular store staff is friendly and helpful, but the pharmacy staff is dismissive, terse, uncaring, evasive, and untruthful. I'm switching to CVS and hoping they're better.

The pharmacist on duty told us that he would have to mix one of the vaccines and did not feel "comfortable" doing so. Why would a qualified pharmacy be unable to do this? With no apology for wasting our time or failing to notify us not to come despite having our email, text, and landline number, he turned on his heel and gave us a sarcastic "sorry." We have been at this pharmacy for years and we amazed at how unprofessionally we were treated. While in the waiting area, we observed this same pharmacist be rude, unkind, and generally disrespectful to an elderly man who had a complaint about some mixup with his prescription. As a side note, the overall appearance of the store and pharmacy is old, tired, and not terribly clean. It looks more like second hand store than a pharmacy/drug store. We will not be back and plan to change all of our prescriptions to Harris Teeter's pharmacy, which is 5 minutes down the road. Their staff is knowledgeable, polite, and all wear lab coats. Even though they are operating out of a makeshift area due to Helene, everything is clean and efficient.

I sat for 45 minutes watching customer after customer be served. The lady at the counter had to "remind" the male employee twice that I was waiting. I decided to wait no longer and informed them to forget it and left. Minutes later the make employee called me that my shit was ready. He said they were "busy". I informed him that's what appointments are for. Then shot boy got dramatic and pissy and hung up. This is nothing new here. Never again.

They told me the photographs were ready the day of, about ten minutes after making my order. The order reflected that the canvas print was not ready yet. I called for 3 days trying to get ahold of the photo department only to be told the photo department was not available every time. Finally, on Tuesday, November 4th, I got a person on the phone and they told me my order would be ready Friday, november 7th. I asked to speak to a manager. He assured me they could have the order ready in ten minutes, and that his staff was new, and was getting the size of the canvas wrong. They were seeing 11x14, when I ordered 12x12. I came in to get it about 30 minutes later, and they told me my order was not ready. They rushed my order out, and gave me an extremely messed up canvas. The picture was bulging off the wooden frames, and the picture was all pixilated. I asked the manager on duty, Mike, for a discount on the order, and he basically told me to go f*ck myself. The supervisor on duty, Lee, was extremely nice and really tried to help me out. Mike was an absolute work of art. And not a good one. I finally talked them into giving me a refund because it was so messed up, at which point I watched Mike throw my canvas into the trash. I stretch canvases, I know how it goes, and they did a horrible rushed job. I need a refund.

Stood at the cash register for 10 minutes and no cashier in sight. Someone could steal them blind and they'd never know it. Finally went to the back of the store to find someone to check out the four customers who were waiting. The cashier was surly and not happy about being asked to help. Might be the most poorly managed store in western North Carolina.
