Not really against the pharmacy but this was the only place I can vent about their "Kroger Rx…read moresavings club". I paid $35.00 to join for my so called savings. I found that either my own insurance through Medicare or usually the free app from "GoodRx " is much less. Today was the last straw. My Rx was $87. at Kroger, a whopping $82. with my KrogerRx card but $37 through the GoodRx app that the pharmacy accepts. Just got off the phone with KrogerRx to cancel my membership. They wanted me to understand that I wouldn't get a refund because I'd been a member over 30 days. Don't care, saved that much today as long as they don't renew my membership.

This really wonderful guy named James Pate runs what he calls a cost plus pharmacy. He looks up the actual cost of the prescription medicine and add $12 for his profit and that's it. That's all you pay. I realized that I have probably paid tens of thousands of dollars extra to Wallgreens Kroger's and CVS over the years. I could have kept that money. The last prescription I filled saved me about $150. I like my old pharmacies that I have used but I decided I could just take the $150 and give it to them if I was really that worried about it. I decided to keep the money for myself and take all my future business to Fairway pharmacy. No wonder those places have such fancy buildings, I've helped buy them. He doesn't take insurance and so this plan isn't for everybody, but if you're paying for your medicine, I recommend that you keep your dollars and let someone else line the pockets of the big guys.

She is currently battling liver cancer, a blocked bile duct, an abdominal aneurysm, multiple issues with her back, a plethora of other major health issues, and possible cancer in her lymph nodes. She has never failed her drug tests and always takes her medication s prescribed. She lives all the way in goodview and moved her pharmacy to this one on 9th street after the CVS on Hardy started being a@@holes. They already write the prescriptions so that you're out of your pain meds when you get the new prescription, even if you follow the doctor's orders to the T. Jason would not allow my aunt to get her pain medicine prescription even though the doctor had written it for that day. The nurse from the doctor's office even called to speak with him and he hung up on her! My aunt had to have the doctor send the order to yet another pharmacy and was finally able to get her medication two days later. So on top of already being in pain and sick, she had to go through withdrawals as well. Shame on you CVS, and you especially, Jason. Not everyone is out to cheat the system or to misuse those prescription drugs. Some people wish more than anything that they didn't need those medicines to get through the day. One day you may find yourself in a similar situation. We don't stay young forever. CVS used to be on top of the game, but in the last couple of years, their customer service is non existent and the lack of compassion their employees have is down right disgusting.
