Pharmacy techs are extremely unprofessional as is the pharmacist. Phone system is horrible. Took my prescriptions elsewhere.

I called in my prescription from urgent care. I waited an hour or so to account for the pharmacy…read moreand limits in staff across the country. Translation...I'm not special and just want to receive my necessary medicine. I arrive at the drive through and there's a sign that says we can't be open Sunday so please plan accordingly. The only issue is that is Saturday and barely 3pm. So I hit the service button assuming they're open. The recorded message says someone will be with you in a moment. I wait about 5 minutes and then call the pharmacy inside. No updated message ...only a recording that will keep you waiting longer. So I go inside and there's a service button on the main counter up front that says press for service. The pharmacy by the way is locked up tight. The person comes out (hardly speaks English at all) , and before you judge me I've been to over 100 countries and speak 3 languages. I just didn't understand the language this person was using not to mention the broken attempt at what I think is still the primary language spoken here. They were not impolite and neither was I. I simply said that a sign should be posted and the automated message updated. Not that they understood but now I have to go and change my prescription through the doctors office to another location. I chose the one on S. Briel. I actually went there to ensure they had received the change. Not polite here but they spoke better English. They said it would be ready in 3-4 hours and to return to the desk before that time. So I said ok and returned at 7 (one hour to spare) to the desk. I asked for my prescription and in a snarky tone with attitude they said I have to go to the drive through even though there are two associates behind the counter. I said oh, wow. I guess this is how we treat our combat vets and other good citizens of the community. I went to get in the growing line of cars at the drive through...who knew this was the place to be on a Saturday evening. An hour later I got through the line and received the medicine I had tried to receive 5 1/2 hours prior. Listen, I get the work force is stressed. I also get the medical field (all of it) is feeling stressed as well. But customer service (especially at CVS) is not present anymore. For me, I will not return to any CVS nor will I recommend them. Even if my medicine would've taken a day or two I am looking for someone who doesn't take their day out on the customer. Because I know I've had some pretty tough days and I turn the cheek a lot. I've given CVS a few chances. But I won't be back. Maybe the manager staff or strategic management team could put the customers first and turn this negative trend into a positive sooner than later. Good luck!
