I have chronic pain and I take pain pills every day so I can get through the day with the pain, my doctor put in a prescription to CVS for my pain medication 90 tablets for the month CVS turned around and only dispense 60 of them saying that their policy is to only dispense 60 pain pills now and not the 90 that the doctor prescribed that I've been taking this medicine for years and just to top it off when I talk to the pharmacist she was as rude as crap and didn't explain that it was a new CVS's policy just said I couldn't do it, it wasn't explained to me until I actually visited CVS and confronted them about the issue. so I would stay away from CVS. Maddison, the manager in the pharmacy department is incredibly rude. I was in line for 20 minutes with a screaming baby while she helped the car two in front of me for at least 15 minutes. My amoxicillin was not ready when I got up to the window, but it takes about 30 seconds to make/mix. After that long, wait there were eight cars behind me, and she told me I had to either bring in my crying baby or go get the starter line again rather than let me just wait there for a minute or two. We literally got a text about 15 seconds after I pulled away that my prescription was ready. Everyone else there was very nice, but Madison is a reason I will not be using this business ever again. read more

Apparently the pharmacy staffs lunch is more important than customers prescriptions. What if it's an urgent medication? Let's think about that. Could we stagger staff lunches? Maybe hire a few more folks to cover lunch? Lots of folks looking for good jobs. Maybe even allow lunch for 1/2 hour like so many other companies. Just all ideas for CVS. Remember if you need a drug between 1-2pm, you'll be waiting until after they eat. Not the fault of the current staff. They're good people. It's the fault of CVS. We can do better. Walgreens allows folks lunch, even the single pharmacist for 1/2 hour, but you can still at least get your prescription during lunch hours. What critical companies close for an hour lunch? I rarely have an opportunity to shop at a CVS. Simply because, there isn't one near my home or work. So, I have become a Walgreen's man. I even have stock in Walgreen's. However, I am here to say, this CVS impressed me. I enjoyed the lay-out of the store. Not all the aisles were going the same vertical or horizontal direction, some were off to an angle. It actually made browsing an adventure. The staff working the floor were helpful. One gentleman greeted me and asked if I needed assistance and I told him I was good. As, I browsed more, I probably had that lost look on my face and he asked again if I needed assistance. I told him, like I tell so many other retail associates, I can do more damage shopping alone. He assured me if I needed help, to let him know. I had browsed enough and couldn't find the last item I needed. So I broke down and asked him for assistance. Instead of telling which aisle it was in, he took the time to walk me over to the area I needed. I told him, he could of just told me the aisle. He responded, that's not how we do things here. Wow! Now that is some good customer service. Checking out, I had a very personable "older lady". (I only called her out as "older", due to a previous reviewer saying she was rude) She knew the lady ahead of me as a regular and asked how she was doing after a illness. Tammy at the pharmacy interrupts people when they are talking and has no customer service. No hello how can I help. When I gave her dollars she put change in the drawer, pushed it out. I stopped at CVS because I had heard they have a section of K-Beauty products now. If you don't know K-Beauty = Korean. So they do have it but it's a pretty slim selection. I ended up with a lip gloss in a cupcake container from that section and then picked up a few other little things I needed around the store. I wouldn't rush back for the brands and selection they carry on K-Beauty but I always like a trip to CVS. read more

I utilized the CVS Minute Clinic for the first time. My doctor could not accommodate me for weeks so I took this as the quickest option. Check in was easy, my wait time was less than five minutes. The nurse practitioner was very professional and thorough. She diagnosed me, gave me the option of utilizing any pharmacy of my choice. I choose to use CVS since I was there. By the time I walked over to the pharmacy counter my prescriptions were ready. I was very impressed. By utilizing the Minute Clinic I saved time and effort. Being sick I didn't want a long wait and just wanted to sleep. This process allowed me to get an entire dose of meds in for my ear & sinus infection before traveling again and feeling better sooner. All CVS locations I have been to always *feel* clean. I think it's the fact it doesn't look sterile with its' carpet, but I always feel comfortable going into the store. I always get greeted at the door and everyone is very nice. The store never is very busy when I am there, but they always open up another register even if I am waiting for less than a minute. Recently, because of a bad Walgreens experience, I had my doctor route my prescription to the CVX Ellisville MO location. This was on Thursday, 11/4 and it it now Sunday, 11/7 and I am still trying to obtain my prescription. We call and are placed on an interminable hold while being informed of how efficient they are with their Covid19 vaccinations yet after ringing and ringing absolutely no one picks up the phone to assist the patient. My wife has made two trips to the pharmacy to no avail and has had her phone number taken by a staff member to be contacted when the prescription is ready and, as the song goes, it's like spittin' in the wind! I thought Walgreens customer service was bad until I encountered this outfit, my God I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEM FOR ANYTHING, THEY ARE TERRIBLE!! read more

This has got to be the worst pharmacy experience I've ever had. I will never go back to another CVS regarding pharmaceuticals; it's Target or Walgreens from here on out. When I tried to call them 4 hours later, I waited at least 15min to talk with someone and they were confused bc script wasn't in system yet. Eventually they found the paper script and filled it. The manager of this pharmacy is flat out rude. So rude that I refuse to go to CVS for any of my prescriptions while I'm in town. I'm a CVS Caremark holder and he failed to tell me that my prescription would cost $98 before filling it. Although he apologized that didn't change the fact that it was $98! Next time enter a coupon for me to make up for such a big mistake. Luckily I was able to afford the prescription, but I recently found out that it would've been $27 with a CVS coupon!!! Also- I asked him a simple question about my prescription being cheaper elsewhere and he gave me no reaction. Just tried shooing me away. I didn't get his name but he seemed to be the one in charge based on his rude attitude and attire. Go to the Walgreens in Diergerbs Center right down the street. I always have issues with the Pharmacy here. Rude customer service, not getting my prescriptions ready in time, and bad info. I called yesterday to ask the pharmacist what type of allergy medication I could take while breastfeeding. One of the techs answered and when I asked her she just told me Zyrtec. FYI- you cannot take Zyrtec while breastfeeding. When I asked if she was sure rather than asking the pharmacist she just replied "yeah". I called a local Walgreens and luckily was helped by the pharmacist there. But this cvs supplying bad info on medications could have detrimental effects. read more

Do not use this pharmacy! Their employees are so shocking rude. There is always a very long wait which I could understand but the rudeness and absolute disrespect for customers cannot be tolerated. I had to call several times today to see if my prescription was ready because I need it for a medical procedure tomorrow and the man that answered the phone cut me off again and again. When I asked that he please be patient and let me speak without cutting me off he said well there are 5 other calls he needed to answer and he doesn't work in the pharmacy anyway so he had to cut me off so the call would be quicker. CVS is typically good with prescriptions. I worked in a CVS Pharmacy while I was a student in college, so I understand what they deal with and how the process works. We had a situation where we needed a prescription filled somewhat urgently and it was 'on hold' at a store in Georgia (Which is Eastern Standard Time). It was around 7:15 (Central). The pharmacist was going to call the Georgia CVS that closed at 8PM Central and have the filed prescription transferred to the store here to be filled. Well, they didn't try calling until well after the store in Georgia had closed. We were then assured that they'd do it first thing in morning. We called them around noon the following day and the pharmacist said to give her about a half an hour, which means they still hadn't called to get the prescription transferred. It was finally transferred and filled later that day. I know they're sometimes busy, but the customer service was lousy. There was no offer to advance some of the medication or even an apology for the lack of urgency or thought when dealing with our rather simple request. read more

Retail store is great, pharmacy is beyond disappointing. They continue to fail to have prescriptions ready on time even after giving them a 3 hour time frame. After 3 or 4 times of failing to have our scripts ready when promised we are going back to Walgreens. CVS is more conveniently located but is totally unreliable in the pharmacy area. I picked up my prescription yesterday and when I got home I was checking it out and noticed that the medication was expired!!! Really??? No excuse. Luckily I had checked. Sometimes when I'm lazy on a midnight run I go here instead of the Highlands Walmart. However I wish you had more options and were more competitive with the Walgreens nearby. This cvs location has terrible service. Several times I have been there and when I went to check out, absolutely nobody was around. Every time I would wait at least five minutes before just giving up and going somewhere else. I even yelled "hello" and no one answered. What kind of business allows this behavior.
