The worst. Walked-in to the minute clinic and registered. Confirmation email and text said they will be with me 'shortly' and est wait time is 40 minutes. 40 minutes go by and no one left in waiting to room but me. After an hour, the provider (Taryn) comes out and says there are 54 people in front of me (despite the empty waiting area) and she is not taking walk ins. I asked the store manager to intercede and she wouldn't. Awful service! read more

I came to this CVS Pharmacy to get my second Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine dose two days ago on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. This is CVS store #7047 and it's located in a freestanding building just off 15-501 exit 108D (Hillsborough Road). What's nice about CVS is you can book your second dose appointment with any CVS regardless of where you get your first dose. Some places won't let you book a second dose appointment unless you had your first dose at the same place. Thanks to my wife for doing the work to find and book my second dose appointment with this CVS three weeks and two days out. We planned my second dose here to take place exactly three weeks to the day after my first dose. As far as my shot was concerned, both the Pfizer first and second shots are exactly the same in terms of what they inject you with. I didn't know if the "formulation" or amount of vaccine was different, but it's not. It's simply another dose of the same thing you got the first time. Leading up to my appointment, CVS sent me numerous emails and texts with my appointment details and to remind me of my appointment. The last text I received from CVS (from number 287277) had a link I could tap to check in upon arrival. That same message said to "bring ID, insurance card(s), face covering." Just like my COVID vaccination experience in Atlanta, which was administered by a public entity, I actually never had to pull out my ID or insurance card for my second dose at this CVS (private entity). Also, the CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card seems so unofficial to me. It's like anyone can grab one and fill it out themselves with whatever info they want. COVID vaccinations don't seem to be easily verifiable. You just have to take people at their word and assume their card is legitimate. There were some logistical issues on the front end and back end of my visit, but it wasn't a big deal. Just my luck that the vaccine check-in table wasn't manned upon my arrival or exit so there was a bit of scurrying around to find out where I should go and who should complete my vaccination record card. Otherwise, the process was fast and efficient. They had a small room set aside for vaccinations. Since I had already checked in with my phone, all I had to do was choose the arm I wanted the shot to go in, sit down, and get it done. There was a makeshift post-vaccination 15-minute waiting area outside the room in aisle 1 (the greeting card aisle). Again, like my experience in Georgia, the 15-minute post-vaccination monitoring period wasn't enforced. These waiting areas appear to be there just in case and as a formality. Because of the aforementioned logistical issues, I ended up interacting with several employees. Everyone was nice. The store was busy during our visit, both for vaccination and non-vaccination purposes (e.g. prescription pickups, shopping). However, at no point did I see anyone have to wait for a vaccine. The vaccines were done quick. The only waiting I saw was post-vaccination. I felt fine the night of my vaccine, but the next morning as soon as I woke up, I definitely felt body aches all over. I also had brain fog. I started taking Tylenol later in the morning and it made me feel better. Earlier this month, the Pfizer CEO said a third dose is likely needed within 12 months and the BioNTech CMO (Chief Medical Officer) said it's likely that COVID shots will become an annual thing like the flu shot. read more

I think every CVS is very much like another and that's a good thing to rely upon. They have many interesting things to buy and universally not enough of them. Same with salespeople/cashiers. Not enough of them, but when you find one they are always friendly and helpful. For the pharmacy staff, they are harried and brusque, as with every pharmacy I've ever seen. read more

By far the nastiest pharmacy I have ever had to deal with...the head pharmacist, dour on a good day, has a similar staff with one or two exceptions. I hobbled in when the pharmacy opened only to find out the computers were down which meant they could basically tell me to buzz off. While I understand how stressful these jobs can be, I also understand there's a better way to deal with people. I went to this minute clinic to get a sinus infection treated. While the appointment was fine, I have not been able to receive my medication because the minute clinic PA hasn't sent my antibiotics to the pharmacy!!! I keep trying to get my medication and even though I've visited the pharmacy 3 times and called the minute clinic hotline 3 times, they make it impossible to get it. With the exception of a couple of people in the pharmacy department, I have never experienced such a repetitive amount of bad encounters at a business as I have at this store! Their system does not work with my insurance as it should and I was told I'd have to go to Mebane to find a store that has a system in place to do so. The manager, on EVERY encounter that I've had, and witnessed from other customers, is the most hateful person in customer service I have ever seen. Why she still has that position is beyond me! She should not ever work in a job dealing with the public! I have never seen a store with such bad reviews, so what is it that the corporate office doesn't fix? "Good neighborhood drugstore/ pharmacy/ miscellaneous" At a convenient location on Hillsborough Rd and Cole Mill very near I-85, this store is one I frequent a lot for many things. Obviously, they fill prescriptions, though they have (on rare occasions) messed me up by discovering after I dropped off the prescription that they don't have any in stock and then not calling me- so I come for pickup hours later or the next day only to have it not filled and have to start over elsewhere. I now sometimes ask when I drop off for them to confirm that they have them. But beyond those rare blips, the service is fast and friendly here. In addition to medicine, they stock a wide range of other miscellaneous household items and foods. I sometimes swing by here to get candy, a quick drink of some sort, a small "present" (e.g., box of chocolate), greeting cards, or a magazine. It's easy and fast getting in and out, so I prefer it over a Target or Kroger run. They have a lot here, ranging from toys to lawn chairs. Surprisingly, the price is low, too. They also have the "Minute Clinic" with a nurse and give flu shots, though I've never used these facilities. read more

I had an absolutely horrible experience at CVS pharmacy this morning. First, I waited ten minutes for someone to appear behind the counter. When a pharmacy clerk finally showed up, she couldn't find my two prescriptions, even though I had received a call that they were ready. She literally dug through a pile of packaged medications she had thrown on the floor. It was shocking. I've never seen such a messy disorder in a pharmacy. When she found my prescriptions, one of them was priced incorrectly. After questioning why, she rudely asked whether I wanted them or not. Needless to say, I'll have my prescriptions filled somewhere else from now on. read more

The pharmacy service is horrible. I transferred my prescriptions from a Chapel Hill CVS to this location. From the get go the refill process was untimely. Not all of my prescriptions got transferred and I was told that "they couldn't be until they needed filling." Which is total crap since I moved from Texas and there were no difficulties with refills. To avoid frustration do not use this pharmacy. Very poorly managed. Staff is nice, but uninformed. read more

This is about the MinuteClinic. DONT GO! First, I made an appointment. When I arrived, the sign said to wait in my car until the nurse called or texted me. The door was closed and I could hear a voice talking. One hour later in the heat, no call. I checked in the store a few times during this hour, asked the pharmacy who basically said "not my job, just wait." Finally, despite still hearing voice(s), I knocked on the door and it was opened. The nurse said, "oh, the computer has been down all day and I was talking to a friend." really?!? She did help me, took all my insurance info and told me insurance would be filed and then I'd get a bill. One month later I got a bill, no insurance payment. Called the only number for minuteclinic, on hold for 1.5 hours, finally hung up. Called my secondary insurance who said they received the bill, didn't pay it because Medicare didn't send payment info and they got it so quickly it was clear Medicare hadn't been billed. Called minute clinic back. Again on hold for over an hour. Again hung up. I'm not paying this bill until they start answering their phone or give other options to resolve billing errors. Customer service is horrible. The employees are very unprofessional & rude! Went to pick up pictures in this location & then it turns out they have discontinued the photo printer. Don't understand why it would be available in this location to pick up pictures if they don't even have the printer to print out pictures. The worst part I wasted gasoline money & my time. read more

Today was my first (and LAST) visit to this Minute Clinic. I had never been to any Minute Clinic as I am very rarely sick (thank God!) but a co-worker recommended that I stop by here. I signed up online so I would have less of a wait. BUT when I showed up, the computer would not accept my access code and even though I showed the doctor my phone with the email confirmation, she said it didn't matter anyway and that I would have to go to the end of the line. Why do they tell you to sign up on line if it doesn't matter? She was slightly rude and I almost left but I wanted to make sure I didn't have strep throat before my nephew's first birthday party. This location has had its ups and downs and seems to struggle with turnover for the pharmacy staff. Couple this with customers making a fuss about co-pays and a short line can feel like it's lasting hours. So, why have I added a star to my previous review? Because they are doing a good job with technology and letting users of their apps and mobile phones speed up the line for everyone. Apple Pay, supported in this location, takes the 30 second chip reading down to 2 seconds. Their app means I never, ever call for the status of a prescription, and allows me to refill whatever with a tap of the finger vs a phone tree or human in the way. After a recent upgrade, the app now facilitates pick-up; they scan the barcode on your phone specific to your pickup and no name and birthdate required, nor is a password needed. If every customer did this, I'd tick it up to 4 stars as the only criticism I'd have is the always fresh face behind the counter, assuming the employee turnover will not go away. In short, this place suffers from inefficiencies from customers and staff. If both sides pitched in, a trip to CVS would be a quick errand vs. a pain in the rear. read more

My experiences dealing with this pharmacy has SUCKED. How is it even possible for a pharmacy to have such poor service when it comes to prescriptions? Electronically sent prescriptions, phone refills and dropped off scripts haven't been filled when I've gone back to pick them up hours, sometimes DAYS later. Wtf! I've also foolishly waited well over 20 minutes in the drive thru line (with only 2 cars ahead). Lame. read more

I recently picked up two prescriptions from here that had over half the pills missing from each bottle. I made the mistake of not counting the pills until I got home, at which time I called the pharmacist to let him know of the discrepancy. The pharmacist denied it was the fault of anyone at the pharmacy and indicated that they had "back counted" their supply and thus were sure that the amount I had received was correct. He failed to recognize that employees of the pharmacy (i.e. pharmacist technicians) are often privy to the filled prescriptions and can and do often steal medications for their own personal use. The fact that the number of pills in the CVS supply is accurate does not evidence that I received the correct number of pills. I am in the process of filing a DEA report for the theft of customer's prescription pills at this CVS location. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. read more

As a pharmacy, this place is the absolute pits. I've been going here for 7 years, so it's going to be hard to change all my prescriptions over, but the service here has gotten so bad that I'm just gonna have to do it. I stopped in at 8:45 am today to pick up a prescription -- the drive through window was closed, so I walked inside. The pharmacy section was shuttered shut, right next to their posted hours that stated they opened at 8 am. Two weeks ago I sat for 45 minutes in the drive through before I finally went inside, where I found they had closed but were refusing to ring up anyone up. There was a mob of about 6 angry customers there, so I just got out of there. This place might be an okay place to get candy or magazines or what have you, but if you need a prescription filled, avoid this place at all costs. read more

Don't get your prescriptions filled here---they do not keep track of their inventory--two prescriptions back to back -- tried to get them filled at this location. Not in stock--you have to wait 5 days--not in stock you have to wait 3 days. That Stinks for a pharmacy--two CVS locations just a few miles away had the prescriptions but they do not transfer prescription drugs when out-of-stock exists. My Husband & I ran out of our daily medication while attending to a family emergency. We live 4 hours away and are CVS customers. The CVS team here was attentive to our needs. Both the storefront personnel and pharmacy tech's were friendly and competent. One of our medications was not in stock and had to be ordered. It was available the next afternoon. I've always received good and prompt service at the minute clinic here but the pharmacy is another story. Why put in a drive thru for "customer convenience" if the pharmacy staff does not attend to it!? My latest example-- I am sick with strep, 101 fever and need my antibiotics and other rx, have my four year old in the back so clearly not wanting to go in. This CVS violated HIPPA law in a pharmacy dealing I had with them. I had some very gracious witnesses at the counter, and reported this pharmacy to both the state pharmacy board at to the federal reporting center through Health and Human Services. Received a letter from all three organizations (including CVS) acknowledging and apologizing for the breach. A violation of federal law and my privacy and safety was enough for me to move all of my prescriptions to Costco. Under no circumstance will I ever use CVS again. There is an excellent Rite-Aid less than one mile away; I use them when I need quick pickups and they have never let me down. I would advise other people to do the same. Convenience never trumps my safety or, you know, federal law. read more

I use this CVS on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for non-pharmacy items, including household items, personal care products, greeting cards, and the occasional food/snack/beverage item. The key to snagging deals at this CVS (or any CVS) is to pay attention to the weekly sale items (either deals or those that give you CVS ExtraBucks). The staff is always willing to help me find the items listed in the weekly ad, and most of the staff are very knowledgeable about the week's sales and where I can find the items in-store. Every so often, the check-out line gets very long, and sometimes it does seem like this place is understaffed for the volume of business they do. Generally the staff are helpful, and the store has a good selection of items. read more

This is absolutely the WORST CVS I have ever been in, and I have visited CVS' all over the nation. It is ill-kempt, the service is at best surly, the stock of sale items is usually picked over and not available, and they NEVER honor ANY of 'coupons' you get with your 2 mile long receipts. Of particular note, the individual at the checkout counter today was neither helpful nor willing to review the coupons presented for discount. I am not sure why a loyalty program is in place with help like this. I will NEVER go back...I would give this organization less than one star! read more
