This store really is a little gem and different from the chain drug stores. I need to remember to…read morego here more often! What I like is they carry many products catering to homeopathic, natural,and organic lifestyles. Whether it be medication, beauty supplies, or food - their selection of these items are the best around. This is in addition to the normal drug store staples of beauty, drug, cosmetics, seasonal items,etc. They also have a pharmacy which I've never used. Hubby likes the fitness supplements and protein powders. Their selection of these items are pretty plentiful too. Prices are kinda all over the place, depending on the product but overall probably higher than say going to CVS. Often they will have a double page ad of coupons in the Clipper so look for it for additional savings on select items. When I was dumbfounded on where to find essential oils I found them here. Selection is fairly good although there were several I bought on ebay either because Savemart didn't carry them or the price was better. So why 4 stars and not 5? For me I hate their parking lot. The layout is poorly designed. Secondly the isles are close together and crammed. The place is usually crowded and its hard to find help. Lastly the security guy at the front door checking your purchase when you leave. Is theft that prevalent here that that's necessary?

Apparently there is only two pharmacies of this kind in Lancaster and the other couldn't do my special compound. With that being said be prepared. I was sent home with a script that required I start taking it immediately to avoid further infection and possible hospitalization. It'll be ready in 2 days was their response. Only when I insisted (quite firmly) that this was very serious and needed filled immediately only than did they have it filled in a few hours. While there I could see just how busy everyone was. This place must do a hell of a business both local and afar due to their specialty but compared to my little family owned regular pharmacy they fell short. I didn't feel I got personalized attention and because they are so busy and treat so many clients they lost touch with their customers. Not knowing your customers and knowing their medical and script history can lead to mistakes is my thought process. I know first hand that my regular pharmacy knows me so well that a few times they brought things to my attention when new medications were added to my regimen that even my doctor missed. On the plus they do deliver and send scripts thru the mail. Neither was offered to me, and I'm sure that's an additional cost. They do stay open late, in fact I think the hours listed are wrong as I had a friend who worked there well after midnight. But got the impression that they will not fill scripts while you wait. So while I am grateful they're able to fill my unusual formulation, I'm also happy to stick with my regular pharmacy, Smithgall's for everything else.

It took over half an hour for the fax to come through (???) after it was,sent while I was on the phone with my doctor's office... I was told that this was normal for them and that it can take up to an hour... perhaps they're overdo for some up to date technology. After paying 5 times what I had paid for the same meds at another pharmacy the previous day I found that an easily available online discount of 90% (!) was available. As I know for a fact that the pharmacy is aware of the availability of this discount I am very disappointed they did not take the initiative to offer it to me on the spot. As a result I had to waste my time and return the next day and have it applied retroactively. To add salt to the wound a large, burly man who is apparently in charge instructed the woman behind the register to charge me a $10 "transaction fee". When I questioned it I was told that I was "taking up a pharmacist's time".... I was not aware that a pharmacist is needed to issue a refund but then I do not know how the staff there is trained or not trained as the case may be... Finally when I told them that their decision to charge me was not a good business decision considering the loss of a customer and that I would not have anything positive to say about their customer service, the same large, burly man came out from behind the counter in an almost menacing manner which almost made me feel threatened and told me he did not want my business... gotta wonder what kind of business can afford to say something like that in this day and age! Oh! I was also told that when I was in there the day before waiting 1/2 an hour for a fax to arrive that I was being "demanding" because they "were busy" and I had asked if it arrived or if it would help to call doctor's office. The two people I dealt with today can only be described as obnoxious and really should reconsider their choice of working in any customer-facing capacity. Needless to say I will be taking my business elsewhere and recommending to my doctor not to refer any of her patients to this pharmacy! 6/11 update: without getting in to detail it turns out Williams Apothecary also tried to significantly overcharge me when I thought I had to pay full price for my medication... Never setting foot in that place again!

While I didn't find what I was looking for I found many pleasing scents and skin care products. Since I was short on time and on a mission I will be back to explore those options! The prices weren't budget but were average. I especially liked their variety of scents and different products in that scent line. Nothing's worse than putting on hand lotion that conflicts with your favorite fragrance. They also had a nice assortment of skin care products. I did see specials throughout the store to buy 3 and get 1 free, as well as other specials at the time of my visit. A very nice sales gal greeted and assisted me in my search making recommendations without being pushy. She made mention of a a scent I might like that has the green fresh scent I was seeking but it wasn't available in store only online. Later that night while on their website I couldn't remember the name. I called the store to inquire. The employee that answered the phone wasn't very helpful. She didn't know what it was, couldn't make any recommendations and only agreed to ask someone else once I suggested it. It was a night and day attitude difference from the sales gal I had earlier in the day. The next day while running errands I saw I had multiple missed calls from their number. I called back thinking maybe the original employee retrieved my number from caller id and was calling me back. However when I called the store they admitted their phone system was making random calls. In all I had 7 calls total from their phone "system". While that situation was a nuisance the lady that took my second call was very pleasant, apologetic, and professional. Like the first sales girl she made a recommendation of something available online only that fit my criteria. This time I wrote it down. Can't wait to receive my order!

They are constantly making me play phone tag back and forth with my doctor's office. There's always some kind of issue with my prescriptions. When I go to Costco. It's not worth saving the money. Plus I have to drive 45 minutes to get there. There are plenty of pharmacies around where I live and I think it's totally worth it to pay a little bit more for service with a smile! Screw Costco pharmacy literally! I've been a Costco family member for years now and it pains me to be treated so poorly. They try to act like it's my fault that they don't have my medication. I don't like to be blamed for their faults. I just need my freaking medication and I can't get it. Now. I was cold. I may have to wait three more days. This is psychiatric medication. I need it now not in 3 days. This is absolutely unacceptable. I'm going to continue to try to find a corporate number to file a complaint. I am so upset about this.
