I must now switch my prescriptions to CVS a block away. Also when prescriptions are filled using the automatic refill service, the largest prescription bottles are used although the pills are extremely small. I do not have enough space for several of the extra large bottles because they take up so much room in my cabinet.

My dermatologist sent a prescription to this pharmacy for me. I thought it was being sent to…read moresomewhere other than my normal pharmacy because it needed to be compounded. Once the prescription was filled I got a message from a service that delivers for this pharmacy. I didn't recognize the text sender so I ignored the message as SPAM. Then I got a call from the pharmacy that they had a prescription for me. I opted to pick it up during the following week. Fortunately the pharmacy told me they were located behind Thorntons or I never would have found them. The pharmacy is small and located in a small strip mall off the main road. When I picked up the medicine it was an ointment and not a special compound. When I got home I looked it up on my prescription coverage plan and found it was covered by my insurance. In the future I can pick up the exact same prescription at my local pharmacy for less or I can have a 90 day supply filled through Express Scripts far cheaper. It was nice to know this pharmacy exists but it is not convenient for me to get to. I would rather go to my local pharmacy that is one mile away than to make the trip to this pharmacy that is twenty miles away. The service was fine it just is inconvenient for me.

I've been using Mathes for two years and many of the same employees are still there. A huge plus! *signing for delivered medications is easy and quick. *they're quick to correct any errors, without any inconvenience to the customer. *a couple of times they ran out of a particular medication, which they restocked and delivered within a couple of days. *I think their prices are very competitive, if not better, than their competitors. They switched our insurance plan, and Mathes was not listed as one of the pharmacies that we could use. We have a large family and couldn't justify paying the extra expenses to use them. So we were forced to use CVS, since that is the company that purchased my vehicle idea company. She was now an employee of the nations largest pharmacy chain. What we found was that this company was out of medications more than once. One time we had to wait a week and a half for a common medication to be refilled because they were out! 10 days without a medication, when there are numerous other pharmacies in the area owned by the same company. So fortunately CVS sold the company after a year, and we are able to go back to Mathes. As soon as my medications run out, I'll be there. Why go to Mathes? Because it's NOT a big box store pharmacy. You may not be wowed this it's customer service, but they are always friendly and very helpful. They will definitely take care of you. Plus they are local, which is a bonus to me. If you need a prescription delivered, they even have a free delivery service. I highly recommend going here. Skip the big guys. You won't be sorry.

And if you've ever been around a young kiddo with an ear infection, you know it's not fun. My daughter is allergic to amoxicillin, so we have to get a different antibiotic when this happens. And due to supply chain issues, her antibiotic is in short supply. (What isn't in short supply these days?!?!) No Walgreens had this in stock, and my pediatrician office suggested that I check with Art Jacob and call some smaller pharmacies. I wish I knew who I spoke with, but he was so courteous. They did not have it in stock but could get it in by tomorrow, which is more than many pharmacies I talked to could do. The pharmacist even went a step farther and made a few calls on my behalf to see if any other pharmacies might have it in stock. I ended up connecting with another local pharmacy that did have it in stock -- thank goodness! -- but it meant so much that this pharmacy would help me out as best they could. They also said they would get it in stock in case anyone else came to them with similar needs. The next time I have a pharmacy need, I'm going to be coming here.
