My rating is 3.5 stars. This CVS is around the corner from my beloved Burlington and TJ Maxx stores. I immediately noticed CVS when I first pulled in. I thought that it looked so lonely on its own. On my final full day in Charlotte, I decided to pay a visit. I tend to bring back candy and chocolate for my team at work when I return from vacation. CVS seemed to be the perfect place to get goodies that are not available in Canada. Let me say that my first experience simply parked in the lot was interesting. A young woman was walking over to CVS. She was wearing a red dress. It was far too short. I will just say that she needed to pull down her dress to cover herself up. There is plenty of parking in the lot. I backed my rental Nissan Rogue and walked in. As expected, I raided the candy and chocolate aisle. I loved the M&M's candy. There were plenty of Peeps Easter marshmallows, too. My most unexpected purchase was getting iron-in mending tape. If you have a hole in a t-shirt, you simply iron it with this mending tape and all is well. You don't need to kill yourself sewing, mending, or darning anything. There were plenty of sales happening. The cashier was a bit spaced out, though. I actually had to ask him for my bags of goodies after paying for everything. He apologized. I suppose that he was just waking up at 4 pm. Love love love the drive through pharmacy. I pick up all my perscriptions and have also done covod testing. Covid testing appointments are easy to set up online, then at your scheduled time you pull up to the drivethrough window and they give you the swab and instructions. Both times I have recieved results for th PCR test within 24 hours! As for my perscriptions, I am signed up for texts updates so they remind me when a refill is ready or when a perscription needs to be updated by mu doctor. read more

Stopped in and was told at 1:28 I was unable to pick up a prescription because they close at 1:30-2 for lunch, which is fine. I sat and waited there until 2 for them to open and the pharmacist saw me multiple times waiting. They open and as I get up to go to the counter someone else walked up and they took them first. Then, I put down 3 deodorants and two different allergy medicines down on the counter to buy as well and was told they did not have time to scan my items so I would have to buy them up front. This review is for the pharmacy only.** I needed a prescription filled during COVID-19, and this CVS ACTUALLY answers their phone. i wanted a no contact pick up, and my close CVS (South End) doesn't have a drive through. Anywho after some script issues, NICK, the pharmacist here, was communicative, helpful, and went above and beyond. If every CVS location had a pharmacist like NICK, hell, if every drugstore had a pharmacist like him, the world would be a way, way better place. He deserves some major recognition. He even wished me a happy birthday. He was fabulous. So much so I even considered moving my scripts to this location. Thank you, Nick! This store *does* have a drive through, though maybe they didn't 9 years ago from when another person left a review? It's in the back back, around the corner, and surprisingly, leaving the parking lot from the drive through to get back on Woodlawn was pretty easy. **but is the parking lot kind of tight? yes. read more

Workers are incredibly unhelpful and prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be (or the apps says they will be). Constantly out of stock of pretty common medicines read more

The pharmacists here hate their lives apparently. The blonde one is always complaining and yelling. Everyone else must be overworked or something because they are very rude. I've been trying to have prescriptions transferred here, but no one will pick up the phone. Guess I'll be going to costco. read more

This pharmacy is typical of any drugstore. I am a little grossed out by the carpeting. Who carpets the entire store these days? It's not only outdated, how can you really get it cleaned without steaming it? Aside from that it, it had the allergy medicine that I was looking for so it's alright in my book. Close to the freeway and train/rail station. read more

Handy for quick items you need. Sometimes they get supply issues and run out of stuff but it's Hawaii.

Have gotten to the Pharmacy more than once, in the middle of the afternoon just to see hand scribbled notes saying they have a 'staff shortage' and closed early as a result... at 3pm... on a Wednesday. Either hire enough people to staff your primary function as a business, or close the store. read more

Waited one hour 20 minutes on 11/24/21 to discuss processing a script. Finally hung up. Unacceptable customer service.

Walked in for a flu shot, 9:15am, no one in front of me. And they say there will be a 15 minute wait. Go somewhere else. They were nice when they told me they have no regard for my time. read more

Ah, CVS...the new go-to place for prescriptions since Walgreens couldn't work it out with my insurance plan to keep covering my drug needs. The employees are nice and work fast. But the ambiance of the store lacks interest or appeal. Leave a few wrappers on the floor and the entire store feels trashy. After noticing some trash on the floor I suddenly felt like I needed to cover myself in hand sanitizer... Anyway, this location is convenient. Since I don't shop her on a regular basis I found that the prices seemed a bit pricer than say, Target. If you're in a pinch, they have everything to get by on...but if you want to pinch a penny, go elsewhere. read more

Do any of you fill prescriptions at the CVS on Woodlawn? I ask because I had my FIFTH and final experience of them screwing up prescriptions for my family. In the past (this goes back over three years, to be fair) I've had them mess up to the tune of an $800 charge, and also filling the wrong medication for my son. Today's debacle: the script was sent over from the Ped at 8:30am. By 9am, I arrive in the drive through, and I repeated, spelled, and had the pharmacy tech (PT) repeat my daughters name and DOB TWICE. The Pharmacist comes to the window and says they have no script for her. Okay, I think, so maybe my doctor screwed up in not sending the electronic script efficiently. . I called my nurse at the Dr; she says, no, we sent the script at 8:36am; let me call CVS and confirm the script. She calls me back, saying they are claiming I gave them the wrong name of my child, and that they in fact do have the script. The nurse said the pharmacist seemed confused and then cut her off, saying "we have everything we need. thanks." I arrive BACK at CVS and the PT comes to window and repeats my daughter's name and birthdate again. At this point, the pharmacist arrives at the window. He tells me my Dr sent over the script with the wrong birthdate attached. Really? So I call the nurse BACK at my doctor's, put her on speakerphone and have her dictate the info from the electronic script transfer - the birthdate was correct. The pharmacist didn't say a word, other than "Do you have any questions for me about this medication?" Shame on me for not learning my lesson. But buyer beware. I try not to publicly bash any company, but this is medicine and incompetence rolled into one and I encourage you not to trust this CVS location. read more

We spent an unexpected night in Charlotte and had to walk here from the Embassy Suites to pick up some toiletries because the Embassy Suites store SUCKED. I guess that should probably be mentioned on another review. Well aside from the fact that there are apparently no sidewalks in Charlotte, this CVS is well stocked with your standard drugstore stuff. Their travel size department was a bit lacking, and the checkout was slow, but all in all if you need toothpaste, or a pair of cheap sandals these guys have it. read more
