How lucky were we that this place is open 24 hours!…read more An airport mishap caused our bags to go missing and probably won't make it to our hotel until the next day... maybe two... so we stopped by to score basic needs - mostly toiletries. Staff was friendly - even during odd hours of the night - "You have no toiletries?" (Clearly she knew we were tourists.) We explained the whole missing bags thing to clear that up. They had everything we needed - clothes included - because who knows how long before our bags get delivered! Prices were reasonable - none of the tourists rates some places charge. What made it better is that it was only a couple of blocks away from our hotel. We returned a couple more times during the week for more basic stuff - mostly snacks, water and other rehydrating drinks. What I mostly appreciated is how conveniently located it is. In the situation we were in, we were grateful for it being where it is!

I was about to spend four nights at a writers' conference and had the foresight to drop in and buy a bottle of Advil. If you've been to one Walgreens, you've kind of been to them all, but this one surprised me by keeping its Advil locked up in plastic cases while leaving its entire supply of Sudafed out. The case on my Advil was large and unwieldy, making it slightly more difficult to shoplift. Seems like a wash, though, with the added cost of locking up individual products. At least it was easy to grab the Advil without assistance and check out at the register, where an employee quickly unlocked my purchase. Anyway, that Advil came in handy once I engaged in my premeditated bouts of drunken revelry. I have no particular love for Walgreens, but I'm glad I came across this one when I did.

(Updated/expanded review)…read more I've lived in a couple different places now, and am usually a regular at Walmart. Based on that, I can say that this Walmart store is bad on multiple levels. Stock = Even pre-pandemic, finding items in stock was hit or miss, especially cheaper brand items. I also frequently find items on the shelves that have already been opened, presumably thanks to the customers. Maybe not Walmart's fault, but worth noting because it impacts that shopping experience; there was a time I couldn't find a single unopened box of the dryer sheets I wanted. Pharmacy = This pharmacy does not actually have an Express Lane, they just have the sign up for decoration. I've waited at the Express Lane counter while they skip me to help people in the regular line. Then they either call me over to the regular counter computer or have to turn on the Express counter computer. If I have to wait just as long as normal, in the same line as normal, and use the same computer as normal - or worse, wait for the Express computer to be ready - then there's nothing Express about it. Photo Center = I waited for 20 minutes for someone to appear at the Photo Center counter, but they never did; mind you, this was around 3:30pm, not lunch time. I tried to get an employee from the nearby Electronics section to help me find someone for the Photo Center, but she informed me that she couldn't/wouldn't help. I finally grabbed a passing employee - possibly a manager? - who went in the Photo Center to look for my order herself. She said it wasn't in the store, despite what the shipping tracker saying "Delayed, At Store" (or something similar). My photos showed up 1-2 weeks later, and the shipping tracker never changed, so despite insistence to the contrary I strongly suspect that my photos had been misplaced at the store. After that chaos, never again. Lock and key = All of the hard alcohol and some cosmetics are locked up. That's not necessarily bad, but the one time I wanted some rum it took 15+ minutes to find someone with a key. Presumably the checkout counter by the alcohol is usually staffed and I just hit it at a bad time - though who knows with this store - but that makes me feel bad for the people trying to buy the locked up cosmetics because there's not even a counter in the cosmetics section. If you're going to lock things up, don't make customers have to hunt down someone with a key! Automotive Center = Surprise, there isn't one! You can still buy oil and whatnot, but you'll have to go to a Walmart in New Orleans or Slidell to find an actual Automotive Center. Lines = My god, the lines! The *only* time I have been here and there haven't been lines was when I got there right at opening hour during the initial height of the pandemic in 2020. Every other time I've been here, the lines have been atrocious. There are two self-checkout groups, one either side of the checkout area; on more than one occasion, those lines have been so long that they met in the middle! The only way you can tell them apart was by which way the people were facing. Other times those checkout lines will go straight, disappearing into the clothes racks or supply aisles, tricking people into thinking it's short when really they're only seeing half the line. And of course the regular checkout lines get backed up too. I started doing the Curbside Pickup during the pandemic and haven't looked back. It's not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than fighting the mess inside this store.

The rudest and most unprofessional Customer Service I have ever experienced in my 60+ years. I was…read moretrying to drop off a return for Fedex, a service Walgreens is paid for by Fedex. There were two registers at the front of the store. One had a line, the other did not; the one with the line had a Fedex sign behind it. I pardoned myself to ask if it was the correct line for the drop off. The woman said either register could help me and to place the box on the counter at the other register.; the attendant at the other register was about 5 feet away and hear d the interaction. I did as I was instructed. The woman at the second counter was tidying and dilly-dallying, totally ignoring me. When I finally commented she rudely asked if I were speaking to her and said, "if you want help from be you gotta ask for it; you can't be standing there thinking I will help you if you don't ask me." I said your coworker just asked me to come to this register. She repeated her rude little you gotta ask tirade and continued to do other things, at which point I walked out. Abominable, and not the first time I hae been treated rudely at this store. I will drive 15 miles out of my way to avoid that store.

I have signed up for monthly automatic refills numerous times, and it never works. I have to call to refill, and lately the refills cannot be made in time, so I run out of medication. The automated system is garbage, and when I opt to attempt to speak with a pharmacist, I am put on hold for a half an hour or more, and hang up. No one has ever answered the phone. Nothing against the people who work there, but it's a really bad store in terms of functionality. The rest of the store is a typical Walgreens.

Don't go here. Pretty sure the employees are running some…read moresort of scam. Tried to buy a few items (that part-great!) and also get cash back. The kicker is that I didn't want to use a random ATM in the city based on potential legitimacy issues. Only to get scammed by a billion dollar corporation. The self scan machines let you enter AND PAY for the cash back, and then throw an error and you're unable to get money out. No employee (including the manager) will reverse it, give you the money or do anything other than say "I assure you it didn't charge, it'll fall off your account". Or being told to fight it with my bank. I assure you, we've been back home for 3 weeks, it very much didn't fall off, and I have now been wasting my time with chargebacks through my bank. Don't go here.
