Actually I've found the employees to be friendly, along with having a sense of humor. This one's in a strip mall. The biggest problem is finding a parking spot occasionally. Even then it's not a game changer. As for the store itself, thank you for every visit having freshly brewed coffee. There are lots of snacks here. Most importantly it is clean. There might be some features missed, such as no gas pumps, but feel free to waste money on the gambling machines or lottery tickets. I actually like this one, and in a pinch for a coffee or sports drink, it does what it's supposed to.

I even saw live bait and fishing gear. The also have Shell gas pumps. The prices are a higher than a grocery store, but the closest grocery store is five miles away. The store is neat and well organized. There are no public restrooms (unfortunate for a convenience store). I picked up some local craft beer. The staff is present, but I was hoping for a little more Virginia hospitality.

I got a Haldiram's vegetarian paneer entree ($4.03), horse gram (assorted seeds, $7.56), Himalayan yak cheese ($14.13), dry figs ($8.07), two Kit Kats ($4.02), aloo bhujia (spicy bread sticks or noodles, $4.94), Thums Up soda ($2.01), current achan sticks ($1.00), and a Barashinghe beer (11 oz., $3.70). The parking lot is pretty big for a 7-Eleven and the customer service here is great too.

Both the front registers and the pharmacy are chronically short staffed with long lines. Waited in line for almost a half hour today (on a Monday morning!) at the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. The one clerk in the pharmacy had difficulty communicating with every customer in the long line in front of me. When I finally reached the register, she could not spell my name correctly despite asking at least three times for me to spell it for her. She should clearly not be in a job where she has to interact with the public efficiently. Have gone to this location for years because of the close proximity to my home. Today, however, was the final straw. I'll be moving my prescriptions elsewhere.

They have some good deals here and there, but shopping around for best prices makes sense. Pharmacy staff are efficient yet helpful.

Also normally easy to find items are limited or hidden. Don't forget the throngs of people always here. A lot of people must telework, as even at odd times it's busy. As for the experience, there can be lines. I've found the pharmacists and technicians quite helpful. Even though they do a lot of volume, they are friendly and organized. There have been no mistakes. Also I've used the app successfully to speed up a prescription. I recommend that route. It does what it is supposed to do, and for that reason I'm okay with it.

She said she saw it was fully covered with our original insurance, and do I still have that. I said yes. She asked if we had secondary insurance. We did not. I asked if it could've been a mistake, she said not likely as insurance doesn't usually make mistakes. Huh. Why would the insurance co. put themselves in your system? Don't you all do that when you fill out order and request our insurance info? I asked what Caremark was, she said she did not know (important!). She said she'd render it inactive and put it through our original insurance. Fast forward, after hanging up, I check order again and see it's now fully covered, and place order to be delivered. But all through this, I'm attempting to ask her questions and she consistently tries speaks over me and dismisses my questions and tries to get off the phone. I finally got so frustrated I had to say "I have questions!". I googled Caremark - it is a CVS prescription insurance! How could she not know that? I get the feeling she knew but didn't want to say. A couple of hours later I get another text saying the order has been cancelled. Dread - I to have to call again! If it weren't for a thunderstorm, I'd drive there to have an in person chat, to let them know I'll be taking my business elsewhere....but instead I call... I get cut off the first time. I call again and get the same lady:/. I explain what happened. She immediately says there was a glitch for some reason and it didn't go through. That she'd put it through right now to make sure. It goes through, no problem. I ask what the glitch was - very rudely says, "I don't know, that's why I called it a glitch". It seems suspicious. It feels personal. She was so horrible to deal with, to the point of making me angry, so I hung up on her that first time. And suddenly my order is cancelled. What professional would just cancel order, before retrying again? Or calling to let me know what's happened. I asked her name this time, and asked if she was a pharmacist. Brooke. And she is a pharmacist!?! Shocker. Rude, condescending, doesn't know what she's doing, isn't aware who Caremark is, the company she is employed by, didn't know our insurance was still the same. Either that or she is an asshole who just messes with customers. Either way - I wouldn't want to deal with her again. Taking our business elsewhere. Bummer because the other employees are generally wonderful. But would not want to deal with someone so I professional again. Also, why is as Caremark suddenly listed as primary insurance? We didn't authorize that. I'm the last 3 months, between last prescription filled and this, I would remember if I had authorized that. I'll be interested to know if CVS did this, or was it employee error. Wonder if anyone had this issue.

It's definitely got a dated feel to it, and perhaps that's the point. I like that as it's in the small town of Clifton. There's a lot of money here, but it's a bit of a reprieve from Beltway craziness. Love that they have glass bottle Cokes. Don't worry they have the bottle openers. They also have plenty of candies to choose from. Parking is adequate, and it's a good place to relax. Train fans will enjoy it especially, as it's literally next to the tracks. Be sure to stop in!
