If I could give zero stars I would. Countless times have I had a technician be completely out of line and rude to me. This time, I went in and went to the consultation desk because I had a question that needed answered there. Pharmacist was super nice. He had pulled my medication from the shelf. He told me I would have to get in the other line to pay, totally fine. I waited and got to the kiosk, and I informed the tech that he had already pulled my medication. I wasn't sure if they still needed my info. She got snippy with me at this point. Mind you, I had seen her be snippy with another customer bc she had multiple individuals she was picking up for. I got stern with her, did not yell but definitely raised my voice when she was asking which pharmacist pulled my medication and acted like I was lying. At this point I was irritated because of the situation. She then checked me out and said "have a nice day" in a condescending voice, to which I gave no response. She then said "or not" to me. Never in my life would I have thought it was okay to mouth off to a customer. So every person who doesn't respond to you saying that you mouth off???? And to top it off, I turned around to say something back, and she was already gone from the counter. Ran to the back like a coward after being unprofessional. I just left the store and called to ask for the pharmacy manager. She took down my name and number because it was later in a Friday so he wasn't there. I am a loyal customer at the CVS pharmacy at 7990 E. US Highway 36 Avon, IN 46123. This morning the temperature and amount of snow is treacherous. Driving into work in this weather is incredibly dangerous and I am absolutely horrified that corporate demanded their pharmacy staff come into work this morning. CVS is focused solely on one thing and that is money. The lack of concern for their staff's safety is deplorable and infuriating. CVS corporate is selfish and cares more about money than keeping their employees safe. It's laughable to me that these higher-ups demand their morning pharmacy staff drive at 7 am in the dark unplowed roads meanwhile they are at home in their safe and warm homes. If I could rate this pharmacy a zero I would. After an emergency room visit a heart medication was called in to the pharmacy. It was a Sunday afternoon. CVS texted a few hours later that they did not have the medication in stock and had to order it. I tried calling to see if another location could fill it. The phone tree does not allow you to talk to a person as a patient. So I went through their automated phone tree, gave the date of birth as requested, and was told that that account did not exist. The only way to talk to a person was to use the doctor line. Desperate to talk with someone (it was a heart medication needed in a few hours after being in hospital for 5 days) I selected that option and told the tech who answered why I was calling. She told me I had to leave a message on their answer machine and they would call back when they could. Then she hung up on me. It was a heart medication that was needed in a few hours. Worst customer service ever. Very apathetic, cold and rude to a patient who was urgently looking for help. read more

Terrible!!! Waited for over half an hour. Watching them mope around in baggy pants and dirty hoodies, no formal uniform or dress code, texting and starring at their phones. After almost 40 minutes waiting, I went up to the counter and the pharmacist said mine meds were ready and she called my name twice. I was sitting in their chairs 10' from the counter. I didn't hear her, I was the ONLY person waiting there, and they didn't think to say something to me? What if I was deaf? I do have an ear infection right now. I'm 18 and recently my dad was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I just got out of the hospital with him after his stroke. I don't have any experience on diabetic care so I was trying my hardest to get what my dad needs. I have been to CVS 3 times within the past 12 hours. I will be switching pharmacies. My provider said the medications and insulin were ready for pick up. The first time CVS said "we are waiting on an approval". I said ok and left. The next morning I called back up there. They said they were now out of stock of the insulin. I called my doctor and she switched us to a different insulin they had in stock. Went back up there after it said it was ready for pick up. But then they only gave us one insulin and another meter for the blood sugar. I got back home after talking to the doctor about skipping the second insulin he needed. Opened the package and found out they forgot to give me needles. I needed this insulin before my dad could literally do anything that day. I went back up there and then they said "sorry we don't have the needles in stock". So I asked if they had any lancets available because we also needed more of those. They also didn't have those in stock. I went over to blue river who was able to give me the needles and lancets for me within 5 minutes. I'm not going back to CVS. (Also important to note between this morning and noon I made 2 phone calls. Both to people who didn't know what I was talking about and were very short tempered). read more

The reviews for this pharmacy do not do it justice. It is actually a very well managed location. I have worked in the pharmacy biz and this pharmacy is very efficient. This crew follows procedures well and are always on top of their work flow. They never seem chaotic or rushed, and I have never had a mistake or delay. The minute clinic is also really a great asset. It is like Great Clips where you can sign in online to get an appointment. They also take insurance, which is awesome. Caveat--the first time you go in it will take time to enter your info. But after that it is fast and cheap and is way better than going to regular doctor for most issues. I went to drop off a new prescription and refill another and arrived with 20 min left on their lunch break. T heir drive through has a side for "pick up" and a side for "drop off". I pulled into the "drop off" side and waited till they re opened. Around 6 cars lined up in the pick up side while I waited. When lunch was over they took my prescription and then told me if I wanted to do a refill i would need to wait in line. I explained that I had been there 20 min already, was the first car that had arrived and had a newborn in the car. They hung up the drive through intercom on me. Walked in to the minute clinic, per their website walking welcomed, because I have a ear infectection. Get them all the time. I know the signs so I just go in for meds when needed. When I get there I am told they don't accept walk-ins because of covid (you know vovid started almost 2 yeaes ago. Right? Plenty of time to change all recordings and information out in the world about no appointment needed!!!) and that she had no availability for anyone. Btw she's just sitting on the computer doing nothing seemingly work related. I can see her screen from where I was standing. She has been sitting there not doing anything for the last 15 mins as I try to get checked in to their system. I would avoid this clinic if at all possible. read more

I've never used the pharmacy in this location so the review is for retail only. However, the pharmacist did suggest an over the counter item when I wasn't sure which was better for my situation. The staff always greets us as we enter. Regardless of the area I'm in the employees ask if they can assist me in finding something. In other stores the employees seem stressed and rushed and hope you don't need assistance. I don't find that to be true at this, and most, CVS stores. The shelves are clean, organized and well stocked. If stocking is going on they leave a small isle to walk through. When the cashier asked if I found everything I said no. She stopped immediately, asked what I needed and proceeded to walk me directly to the item. What great customer service. I now find if I can't find an item fairly quickly to stop myself and ask an employee. I've been very happy with the products and customer service. Definitely a very well managed store. read more

Terrible service!!! My doctor sent over a prescription electronically, I waited two hours to go pick it up. When I get to CVS, after waiting in the drive-through 10 minutes. The lady working the drive-through says "It's not quite ready yet, should be ready in about 15 - 20 minutes." I don't believe they even started working on my prescription until I showed up. I was in pain and needed to start this antibiotic as soon as possible. I cannot believe that it would take them nearly 3 hours to process and fill a prescription for 14 pills. The pharmacy seems to need another pharmacist on duty and pharmacy techs who are good at the job. It's really a CVS issue. Seems to me The pharmacists are overworked . Maybe they aren't paying for pharmacist support or have a strong customer service model. The last 3X my Rx either wasn't ready on time, even given hours notice. Today , after an ER visit, not only was 7 hours not enough time to get an RX, but I wasn't even given the Rx that was ready yesterday. When I Came home I assumed it was there because the tech and I talked about me waiting 30 minutes for the one that was still in the queue. I said I would come back for the one that wasn't ready. I Assumed she got the one that was ready. When Home, I looked in the bag, no Rx. Looks like after all the years with CVS I'll transfer to Walgreens. They can't be worse. read more

You wouldn't think that you'd even need to read a review about a pharmacy, but I hope someone gets this and decides to go across the street to Walgreen instead. After leaving my doctors office I headed to CVS to get the prescription knowing in advance I'd have to wait a few minutes at least. The Tech told me to take a seat and it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. 40 minutes later I asked if she could check on the script and was told, 'well, it's not ready yet, I could expedite it for you if you like'. WTH, if someone is there WAITING why isn't it already expedited? I asked how long she thought it would take and received, 'I don't know, so would you like to wait'? Seeing as how I couldn't get an answer on where I was in the queue, I decided to leave. As I'm driving home, I get a text stating the order is ready. 1) why would they tell the customer 10 minutes when it's truly going to be closer to an hour? 2) why couldn't the tech look over the counter and see if anyone was working it instead of an 'I don't know' answer? 3) why wouldn't they expedite it when I'm already there waiting vs having to go back up 40 minutes later to have it expedited? I will say this... the incompetent staff is very friendly... but I'll take competent over a smile any day. read more

Drive through pharmacy closes window, after people have waited 30 minutes in line. unfortunately once I entered the pharmacy after seeing the note that they put on the drive-through several elderly sick people as well as an amputee handicapped man were forced out of their vehicles after waiting over 30 minutes in line to find out that the pharmacy did not have enough help to accommodate the drive-through.. The most discouraging part witnessing not only the manager but an employee standing with arms crossed waiting on zero people checking out for retail in the front of the store not only were there no people in line they were told by several customers about the dilemma at the pharmacy that is an ongoing issue. Keep in mind there's also two self checkouts that customers can use for retail. Neither the manager nor the employee ever tried to help the pharmacy and the pharmacist made it very clear that they have ask in the past for help but can never get help. Furthermore when myself as well as other patrons confronted the manager as well as the worker about lack of professionalism and them helping they made it very clear that they did not feel that it was their job to help.The store needs new management. The store needs to be cleaned up it has become filthy. read more

They held my script for 2 weeks.... they needed to speak to my doctor, funny how I got them on the phone with the pharmacy right away when the pharmacist said she called....yea that's bs. I was told to get out of line to wait.....after waiting 20 minutes already so they could help customers. Apparently being pregnant makes you not a customer. And then they want to talk crap about the crazy pregnant woman who won't leave the drive thru to make sure she gets her meds! Seriously NEVER going back! Switching pharmacies for sure! read more

CVS in Brownsburg is very convenient for rx's as they are a 24-hour location, but I've had to switch all my scripts to a competitor due to several errors on their part earlier this year. For example, I had a script at Wal-Mart that I was transferring to CVS and CVS refused the transfer. After 2 calls from my doctors' office I was finally able to get my med. Then the next month, CVS said I had no refills when I should have had 11. Another call to my doctor who put me on hold (remembering this mess from the month before), got the issue resolved. The same day a different doc called in a refill and CVS said they didnt get it. This was on a Friday. Saturday I ended up in the Emergency Room due to the delay in the 1st script and nothing on the 2nd script. Even the doc at the E/R said he could see where my doc had sent the script to CVS, so he printed off a hard copy that I took to Krogers. I could go on---but why? When working with my doctors to get the problems corrected, both offices said they were having issues with CVS as well. Also, the CVS in Brownsburg is extremely busy and there were almost always lines of people waiting. As I was in there quite often, I heard more one employee on loan from another location mention how they couldn't believe how busy this store was. Maybe that is part of the problem. Since I've switched to Krogers, I've been problem free and it has made my life so much easier. read more

Absolutely hate going in here. Staff at register are nice but pharmacist is rude and does not listen. Tried my best to ask him a question on phone about drug interactions and was told I needed to sit down that I was stressing. I had been sitting over an hr to get bp down. It was extremely high. I was trying to make sure my allergy med were not causing bp spikes or if it was the histamines being high do to working in the yard. Same pharmacist has been unpleasant everytime I have gone to pharmacy with questions. He does not want to take the time to answer them. He is in the wrong job, does not deal with the public well. Maybe he should have been a pathologist or radiologist somewhere out of the public eye. He has no patience in dealing with people. read more

Never again will I use the Brownsburg CVS for anything. Had 3 Prescriptions sent there for an upcoming surgery. They filled 2 and Charged me over $300 and never said anything about when the 3rd would be ready. No insurance discount or co-pay. Had the wrong address on my meds. When I went back to the Pharmacy, the guy wasn't a bit concerned to correct the address. When I asked about the 3rd he said they didn't had it in stock but it would be about $300 for just it. Had the 3rd transferred to another Pharmacy. They filled it and the charge was $15 and THERE WAS INSURANCE applied. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE SHOP CVS. read more

They do not call you to tell you they are out of a medicine. (Even after you call to see how long it will take to have it filled) They wait to see if you arrive, then you stand in line, then they tell you they dont have the medicine and you can pick it up anouther day or anouther pharamacy can call them to get the prescription. All this time you are running around with sick children with you. (I didnt have anyone that could watch them) Never again. This makes me and my family a Walgreens customer now. read more

CVS is a horrible corporation! I filled several prescriptions in January and February of this year. I told the pharmacist that I didn't have insurance anymore. But he billed my old insurance company (Anthem) anyway. And for whatever reason, Anthem paid it. I had never gotten these prescriptions without insurance before, so I didn't realize that the price wasn't right. Now Anthem is demanding I pay them back. The total amount is around $500.00. It was CVS's fault for billing the insurance company and Anthem's fault for paying them. But I am the one being hurt. I have been trying to get CVS to reimburse Anthem since August. But they won't. Anthem has sent these bills to collections. I am struggling financially so hard that I can't even afford to buy groceries. But the multi-billion dollar corporation of CVS won't fix the problem that their employee caused and pay this $500 bill. read more

Needed ibuprofen so stopped at CVS. 200 count store brand was $12, but had a coupon that made it $8. Thought that was a good deal until I found 200 count ibuprofen at Walmart the next day for $4, regular price! How can it be three times the price at CVS? If there were a zero rating for the pharmacy I would choose that one. I transferred my prescriptions to a non 24 hour pharmacy if that says anything. Over the past 6 months I've yet to get any prescription filled without issues. They never tell you your out of a medication even if it's one you have filled monthly. The information you receive regarding your refills, prescriptions called in etc. etc. differ between pharmacists and techs or any pharmacy staff for that matter. This past Thursday I spoke with a pharmacy tech for an Rx I had on hold... he said it would be filled and ready on Saturday... show up today, Saturday, no prescription filled and no record of my prescription on hold or anywhere in their system. So now I have to go the weekend without a medication I'm prescribed to take daily. It is truly sad to have that many educated, yet incompetent people work at the same place. read more

Had to switch my prescriptions from Wallgreens to here. Would not recommend. I am a type 1 diabetic tried to get my insulin filled, they said they would have if ready. It wasn't ready, they said there was something wrong with my prescription. The tech (Gracie) was not helpful nor sympathetic at all. I asked her multiple questions she didn't have the answer. I have to mention, that Danielle at the pharmacy, went above and beyond to help me last week. My inhaler medication had gone from 90.00 last month, to 165.00 this month!!! (And that is AFTER insurance!!) Danielle suggested that I go to the website of Breo inhaler and see if they were offering any discounts. Sure enough!!! She was absolutely spot on for suggesting that for me. I now can get it for 10.00 per month, for 12 months!!!!
