Everyone there is always very helpful, and on the rare chance you get the voicemail, they will always make a point to call you back. The business is primarily drive through, but there is a very small walk in area if you don't want to wait in line, and is helpful if your prescriptions are ready and you want to get in and get out. I'm on several medications, and they work to get medications synced up so you only have to make one trip there a month. If you go to different doctors and/or get prescriptions that start at different times, they can sometimes adjust fills to make trips less frequent, which helps everyone involved. They do have access to a refill app, but make sure you choose the right one. They can help with that. They will do their best to help with any insurance issues or in cases where a doctor sent a prescription that needed a slight change in strength or dosing. It's been nothing but great with them! I come over from the SW part of town. I pass up several chain options to go here, and I'll keep doing so!

They may literally be the only other choices. I had previously used Panacea pharmacy, as they were locally owned and had prescriptions filled quickly. Williams Brothers seems to work on the basis of who is making the most noise or something. It certainly isn't taking them in order as they get them. I'm on pills that my doctor has to call in every month. I call my doctor, the doctor calls the pharmacy. Unfortunately, now I have to call to make sure they got the prescription and again to see if the prescription has been filled. Apparently their notification service doesn't notify you until the very last step. So you could have a prescription filled at 5pm (if you're lucky) but you won't get notified until they file it away for the night. I've only used them for a couple of months, but that may be enough. I'm not sure how or why they can't seem to fill prescriptions in a timely fashion, and it's certainly not because people are clamoring at the counter. It will be completely dead, and the prescription your doctor called in at 10 am still won't be ready. Real life example. My doc called in something for me yesterday morning. I called at 5 pm. It wasn't ready, but would be soon. (RIGHT!) I requested delivery, as standing around isn't something I can physically do much of. This another confusing area. In the past I was told that if a prescription was requested to be delivered by 2 pm, it would make it. The guy yesterday said deliveries started around noon. In any case, when I woke up, there was no notification that the prescription was ever filled yesterday. Either they're sitting on it and will fill it later, or their service shut off again. I prefer to patronize smaller and local businesses when I can, but they make it tough. This may be the last prescription I have filled through them. I HATE CVS, but I'm sure they at least fill my pills in a timely fashion.

Now it feels like every Bloomington CVS pharmacy is participating in the same social experiment: "How miserable can we make both employees and customers before someone notices this is supposed to be healthcare?" The pharmacy staff often seem exhausted, irritated, overwhelmed, and unresponsive. And honestly, I do not entirely blame them. If employees seem miserable at location after location, eventually you stop asking, "Why are the employees like this?" and start asking: "What in the name of corporate necromancy is CVS doing to these people?" Because this feels systemic. And the tragedy is that this is healthcare. People are not standing in line to buy decorative throw pillows. They are trying to obtain medications. Yet asking a basic question can somehow feel like violating an ancient social taboo. "Is my prescription ready?" HOW DARE YOU. "Do you know when it might be?" THE AUDACITY. "My doctor sent it yesterday." SIR, THIS IS A SACRED TEMPLE OF ADMINISTRATIVE MYSTERY. I sometimes leave CVS feeling like I should apologize for having a bloodstream. The store may be open 24 hours. The pharmacy seems to operate on a timetable governed by lunar phases, Mercury retrograde, and whether I personally happen to need something. Every time I go in, the metal blinds seem to be down. WELCOME TO CVS HEALTH. CLANG. PHARMACY SEALED. GOOD LUCK, CITIZEN. Then there are the touchscreens. CVS Corporate Leadership: who designed these? More importantly, have they ever possessed a human wrist? The screen is mounted at a bizarre height and angle and does not adjust. You do not type on it. You negotiate with it. Your wrist rotates. Your elbow rises. Your shoulder joins the transaction for reasons no one understands. By the third screen, you are performing orthopedic Cirque du Soleil. Who tested this? Did a person with arms attend? Maybe this is the business model: 1. Install cursed touchscreen. 2. Customer develops carpal tunnel. 3. Customer needs treatment. 4. CUSTOMER RETURNS TO CVS. My God. Vertically integrated healthcare. Brilliant. Diabolical. CVS presents itself as a healthcare and wellness company. Fine. Then act like one. Healthcare is not putting the word HEALTH on the building while making medication access feel like an escape room designed by Kafka. Healthcare requires trust. Pharmacy requires communication. Wellness requires people to feel like human beings. Right now, Bloomington CVS feels like it is failing all three. The employees look miserable. Customers feel like burdens. The pharmacy hours feel philosophical. And the technology appears openly hostile to the musculoskeletal system. CVS Corporate Leadership, do not fix this with another app. Do not fix it with another rewards program. Do not fix it with another six-foot receipt. Send executives to Bloomington anonymously. Walk in. Try to fill a prescription. Ask a question. Encounter the mystery blinds. Use the touchscreen. Experience the full CVS Health Adventure™. Then go back to headquarters, place both hands on the conference table -- assuming your wrists still work -- and ask: "Friends. What the hell have we done?" One star. We needed items on both the main and upper levels. I totally missed the escalator and waited and waited for that elevator. It took what seemed like forever for the elevator to open. If there was a staircase I didn't see it. We found everything we needed. The upper floor was incredibly hot and made me feel claustrophobic. Headed to the escalator for our trip back down to the main level. Self-checkout is definitely encouraged with security arms length away. This didn't really bother me. Actually made me feel safer. Just a few other customers in the store while we were - students and what appeared to be locals. Given the need for a guard on the premises this must be a place with some history. Recommend if you're already on campus and/or don't have transportation.

I was confused on what they were talking about, but then I asked her what she meant. They were talking about a completely different prescription... like hello? I got told it was put on "hold" which happens way to frequently there. So of course, I walk over to the other side to talk to another lady. She just stood there and looked at me blankly. My patience was decreasing by the second. So, I state my case and she just says, " I do not see that anywhere." When I say her eyes were rolling, I mean rollinggg.
