Example: I dropped off a prescription at 10am today, I was told an hour. It's now 5:25pm (third trip here) and I'm 13th in line inside. This pharmacy is a perfect example of incompetence. I have items delivered by mail when I've requested ( and paid for) same day deliver. I have been downright lied to over the phone. On one occasion when I was on the phone with the national office they even picked up the phone and immediately hung up on her. This was while we were trying to figure out why the kept sending my prescriptions to my brothers address. Many of the younger staff seem to try to work with you but the older employees just blow you off. This place is a living stereotype of the things people don't like about pharmacies. The people working the counters at the pharmacy are seemingly constantly overworked, highly stressed, and give the "please just don't bother me" vibe at every turn. I've had to wait more than an hour for things that supposedly were going to take 10 minutes on multiple occasions (once even just updating my address took that long!). And I have had employees be blatantly rude to me. That said the pharmacists do care and ofc not everyone is like that by any means. But generally I've found this to be the slowest pharmacy I've ever used (when you go inside. Drive through has been fine), I've had the worst customer service here, and I just don't feel welcome. I feel like I'm bothering ppl to ask for prescriptions to be filled instead of being welcomed as a paying (polite!) customer. On the bright side, it is open 24/7, so good to keep your address up to date with them if you find yourself in a middle of the night urgent care sitch. And again - use the drive through. Otherwise do yourself a favor and head on over to Pharmacy One Express, where you'll be treated like a star. They'll happily give you advice on your meds instead of rushing you out the door and you'll feel like family in no time. Or you can continue to be a faceless number here. Up to you. read more

I came in today (February 20, 2023) because I had an appointment for the minute clinic at the 10:40. I showed up early for my appointment and tried to sign in but it wouldn't let me so I asked one of the nurses for help and she said that her system had made an error and scheduled my appointment earlier then when I made it. I showed her my confirmation email and the physician refused to see me telling the nurse to tell me that there's other times tomorrow. This is actually absurd how are you going to refuse to see a patient that came at the correct time for her appointment. This is why people stray away from the healthcare system and refuse to see physicians/practitioners because of service like this. read more

CVS Pharmacy/clinic is what happens when you have a crew that is ill-prepared combined with technology they cannot manage and the inability to say NO to people. I made an appointment for a booster - set my time - jumped through all the hoops online. Was reminded of said appointment twice the day of (email and text) - I arrived 8 minutes prior and tried to check in - only to be held up on a frozen screen. I asked the nurse when she appeared if I just take a seat (there were 3 people in the waiting area) - only to be told that I was to get my vaccine booster at the Pharmacy. I walked around the corner and was confronted with (at least) a 50-person line! I asked if this was the line to get the booster and was told they were an hour behind! What the HELL was the point of all the texts and automated falderal? It's completely useless to have a technology that is in NO way useful. It's worse when the staff of the place is so ill-prepared to deal with what can only be assumed to be walk-in patients. I had an appointment at 11:45 - I went through the 30 minutes of nonsense online and made that appointment - if CVS cannot honor the time they need to use their tech to inform people that the appointment times have been compromised. This is beyond inconvenient - it's incompetence starting at the corporate level. CVS should probably be a chain of gas stations and get out of the pharmacy business. People don't need appointments to buy payday candy bars and lottery tickets. read more

Signed in for the minute clinic at 4pm and was told I would receive a text message when it was 30 minutes before my expected time (wait time was over 2 hours). I left, never received any messages, and went back about 45 minutes before they closed. No one came out to check for additional patients, I sat waiting until the doctor came out to clean and told me she was done for the day even though she never called my name or came to check (I was still on the waiting list!) Go somewhere else to get your medical treatment or somewhere they give a damn about your time. read more

When I moved to Bloomington, I had to switch to CVS. I have never like CVS, but this one is awful. I estimate that 50% of the time I go for a refill it is not ready. Sometimes they are just several hours behind. At other times something is out of stock and no one called to alert me. I'm always told they are "short staffed." Always. Hire more people, please. I used to use the CVS on N. College. I often had similar problems but the techs were much nicer there than they are here. If I wasn't moving in 3 months, I'd switch to Kroger Pharmacy. read more

Yes, there can be delays at this pharmacy and sometimes mistakes. This crew is seriously overworked and stressed. But why I am giving them five stars is that they are compassionate. My insurance issues are messy and stressful, and the staff go the extra mile to help me. I can tell when they are working hard to be kind when they themselves are having an awful day. That sort of persevering goes a long way in my book. Update 9/28: The staff here are AMAZING. They took over an hour to sort out a mess made by the insurance. The end result was $250 reduction in my original bill and an exceptionally positive experience. Folks reporting bad experiences are likely conflating the insurance companies' jerkface policies and mistakes with the kind help the pharmacists offer. Obviously the wold is going through a tough time and everyone is overworked, unstaffed, and under paid, but goodness, miss Emily that works there is horrible when it comes to customer service. The girl needs to work somewhere without having to interact with people. I was standing in line when she answered a phone call (the person on the other ended must have been upset about a wait time... aren't we all but it happens). She was SO rude to this person on the other end, then once she hung up was complaining about the call to all of her employees and just gossiping about it. Most people that work in customer service learn to shake things off when they have to deal with a bad situation, but not Emily, she had to go tell everyone. I'm sure 4 more prescriptions could have been filled by the time she was done gossiping. The pharmacy is always behind. It's not uncommon to call in a refill, come in two days later to pick it up and be told it's not ready. Today I was told the pharmacy is running 8 hours behind, and if I'd like to wait, it will take 30 minutes. For a Rx sent in over 6 hours ago. Love this pharmacy. I have never waited more than 15 minutes for a script, even when picking up after midnight. Once I got hungry and ate a lunchable in the middle of the store and they were extremely nice about it. Also my friend dropped a bottle of Bacardi we just bought in the parking lot because the plastic bag broke and the clerk got us a new one no questions asked and cleaned up our spill. After my daughter's surgery and a stressful day of delays at the hospital we left with a prescription for hydrocodone. Kroger East turned us away after an hour of waiting (2 prescriptions) saying that they would not fill it because there had been a prescription filled for this elsewhere in within the last few days. That was not the case as I tried to explain, only to be treated like a liar with no help or compassion. Keep in mind my daughter is starting be in alot of pain and is crying. They told me to call my insurance company period. I left in tears. Called my insurance and it is now after hours. Not sure of what to do, I went to CVS. They went above and beyond to help me. They called the insurance company since they are a pharmacy they can get through and figured out mistake. They were compassionate, treated me like a person and I will be taking all of my prescriptions there in the future! read more

My review is not about the pharmacy. It is about the employee on duty at 4:30 am on Thursday, November 4, 2014. I was on my way to the Indianapolis Airport and stopped to purchase some last minute items. The employee was stocking items, completely ignored me, and ultimately refused to check me out. He said if I wanted the items I would have to use self check-out. I had cash only. He still refused to check me out. I left the items. This is customer service? I would not think the manager at this CVS would condone this type of behavior. I will be calling him/her to report this incident as soon as my plane lands. read more
