I haven't been here but I would like to say something. A drive thru is convenience or for people who cannot physically get up into the pharmacy. It's not a drive thru for fast food and you get your prescriptions in like 5-10 minutes like food. There is hardworking people who have to take their time, and a rush of people getting angry about time and scripts needing to be filled isn't going to help you or them. So be a little nicer when you get your scripts. read more

This pharmacy is the absolute worst!. Service is cold, and employees are clearly indifferent to customers. This is a convenient location, but I simply cannot stand how poor the service is. They claim to be SO busy, maybe it is because they can't fill any script correctly initially, causing them to have to duplicate their efforts constantly, or they fill scripts that have not been ordered, again causing themselves more work, and completely and constantly frustrating and failing customers. The most responsible thing CVS could do is close this pharmacy for good. read more

The slowest CVS currently in the drive through for the 3rd time today because they won't get my prescription ready. I have been in line for 18 minutes now and still not up to the window. I dropped my prescription off almost 2 hours prior. They estimated 15 minutes when I dropped it off. read more

This used to be my pharmacy of choice. In the last 6-9 months, the service from the pharmacy has been terrible. Today's issue was another example. I came down with COVID. Saturday morning, 10/14/23, my doctor sent in prescriptions . Paxlovid and a few others. They surprisingly had 4 of the 5 in stock. The fifth one being CODEINE-GUAIFEN10-100. As of Saturday morning, it was still in process. I called Saturday afternoon, I was told they didn't have it in stock. They would order it on Monday. I check today, the prompt tells me it will be ready at 7:00pm. I called at 6:45pm. When I got through, I was told no, it wouldn't be ready until at least Friday. Have it transferred somewhere. I found it available at Walgreens. But due to it being considered a controlled substance, only my Dr can transfer it! 15 minutes later, I get an automated text from CVS. They JUST ordered the medication!! Totally different from the service this pharmacy once had. read more

Thank goodness CVS is within walking distance of my hotel since I forget some essential items. It is kind of a hassle to get to if you're walking since it doesn't seem as though there were any sidewalks for pedestrians anywhere. I actually didn't see any public transportation at all so it leads me to think the town isn't non-automobile friendly. Anyway, the CVS seems oddly situated across the street from an Enterprise Rent-a-Car, all by itself :(. But I really was glad it was there and had some decent prices. read more

Took my college son here for sinus issues. Before she had even evaluated him, she sat back in her chair and said "I've seen a lot of college kids with pneumonia lately so if I hear anything at all in his lungs I'm sending him to OSF". He had nasal congestion and PND with a very light cough (due to the PND). She listened to his lungs and stated she heard "junk" in both lower lobes. I questioned it because of what she said when we first arrived and she got angry. I took him to OSF and they (Nurse & doctor) said his lungs were completely CLEAR. They diagnosed him with a sinus infection. She obviously isn't qualified for acute minor sicknesses. She stated she was a trauma nurse...well she needs to go back then because she is not good at diagnosing basic illnesses. I will never go to a CVS minute clinic again. She diagnosed him before she even evaluated him! My advice- go somewhere where they have competent people who will evaluate/diagnose the current patient, not the previous ones. read more

Had to go to the Minute Clinic today. There was a bit of a wait for me (just under an hour), but that allowed me enough time to run to get a cup of soup and get my shopping done ahead of time. I really liked that the check-in kiosk had approximate wait times listed. The only thing I didn't like was the waiting area. It was just a few hard plastic chairs lined up next to each other. When you're sick, you need something a little comfier than that, and preferably not a chair directly next to another sick person. Jenny, the NP was kind and welcoming. She communicated well, was efficient, and even offered to help me find the meds I needed as I left. Overall, a good experience! read more

Worst place to go! They keep having "IT issues" so every time you go you have to give them your insurance card! How frustrating to have to give them your card every time. So much for using their drive thru when you spend ~30minutes waiting. Don't waste your time -- go ANYWHERE ELSE ... Meijer or Walgreens... and the techs at the front keep saying "I don't know why I'm not IT" ... you never tell people I don't know ... clearly someone doesn't understand customer service. read more

This is my go-to CVS Pharmacy due to its convenient location on Veterans. I enjoy grocery shopping here because they often have great deals with their extra bucks. They also have pretty solid coupons that come out of their coupon center with your cvs card. I would say the Pharmacy area needs some work however. Almost every time I'm there, their is a significant line in store and in the drive thru. I try to come during less busy times (avoid lunch hour and after work) but it seems to not matter. My thought is they seem to be very understaffed in that area. read more

Do not bother going to the Minute Clinic. The "practitioner" Barbara was glacially slow. Her utter lack of confidence in her ability to diagnose led her to repeat herself multiple times. She took 45 minutes to tell us to go to the OSF Promptcare down the street. read more

I was disappointed that the pharmacy is no longer open 24/7. It now closes around 10/11 pm. The store itself is still open 24/7 which is convenient. They have many products and you'll find what you need here. I also had pink eye once on a Sunday and came to the minute clinic location and the nurse practitioner was friendly although the computer system they use is clearly frustrating for everyone (judging by this visit and also a flu shot visit in 2014). So expect to be in the "minute" clinic for 30-45 minutes, although it's still probably faster than going to an urgent care clinic. Also, the coupons I get for my extra care card never seem to be anything I would buy. I wish it was geared more towards my purchases rather than giving me coupons for things I would not buy. I like this CVS overall and appreciate its convenience. read more

South Veterans' is the pharmacy from hell. They want to refill meds when I don't want them and lose the scripts I do need. Even if I turn off auto refill, somehow it gets turned back on. Here's the latest:I went to the doctor last Thursday and watched the PA submit a prescription for me. My CVS app then said it was in process but I never heard anything. I assumed it was on order and waited a couple of days. On Sunday morning I called only to be told that no one had sent in a prescription at all. How did the app know to show it in process on Thursday then? Their people are not trained on their systems to explain what is going on to the customers. They just made up an answer that no one called it in.Next problem: the prescription is not covered by insurance. Well I have had it before and I am aware of that. However their procedure is not to contact the customer to see if the cost is OK. Instead they return it to the doctor, who has no idea whether it's OK. Since doctors aren't open on the weekend, you are screwed for another two days.I guess if the customer asks easier to lie and say it was never submitted. As it was I had to call dr myself just to find out this happened anyway. FOUR days of pain later from the condition that prompted the prescription and after standing in three different lines while they approved my Good rx coupon, I finally have it. I am guessing it would have been a week or more had i not started to ask questions. I have to use cvs because of my ins but for this one I should have gone elsewhere. I will transfer all my prescriptions to a different cvs as soon as this is resolved. This store just does not care about their customers.. If you can go ANYWHERE else, Do it! read more

I needed pain meds for my child after a surgery. Drove straight from Chicago and showed up at cvs just before their close time. The pharmacist and assistant were very busy with other patients and still showed empathy for my situation. They proceeded to turn my Rx around in less than ten minutes without complaint.
