Wow, two years later i return and the pharmacist on 9/7/24, on duty was the most unprofessional as they come. I could clearly observe the pharmacy department was closed. I just made a simple inquiry, first by politely getting her attention by asking if they had a syringe disposal container just like the used medication container. I was not requesting a product or asking for anything related to prescriptions. I had used auto-injectors and syringes to dispose of. After i stated"excuse me" , she immediately said "we're closed". It was about 6pm and the cage was shut. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. She is still a CVS employee and customer service seems to stop around that time as well. I then just asked anyway and again she said "we're closed". Wow, what a sorry human being. However, i did receive assistance from an employee cutting boxes or something in the store side. Very young female employee and she even gave me options of how to dispose of the syringes/auto-injectors. Education isn't just on paper and proves that just because a pharmacist undergoes years of school, the female store employee, cutting boxes, was smarter than the pharmacist. CVS is really scraping the bottom of the barrel with that one. I will never return and move my medication fills somewhere else. I cannot share a lot of details, however, I'd like to make sure people know, that this CVS blatantly discriminated against me. It is one thing to make a human error, to have bad manners, etc. and it is another to blatantly 'discriminate' against a person. And again, I'm omitting all details as those are very personal. Do stay away from this Pharmacy, 'read all the reviews', some of these point to some serious safety and health concerns - there's nothing good coming out of it, and there are other good pharmacy chains nearby. read more

Pharmacy is horrible - gave my daughter the wrong meds i just noticed the pills looked different luckily it was just some sort of birth control and she only took one, they never answer the phone or call you back if you leave a message they never have prescriptions ready just horrible!!!!!!!! Calling to see if i can get my meds covered under insurance somewhere else i am going to tell them the problems with the pharmacy. read more

I use this pharmacy because it's covered by my insurance. Twice gone to get medicine ordered by doctor and they claim that it out of stock be in by a certain time and go back and it's another excuse why they don't have it. I think it's a shame that sick people who need meds to feel better and have to wait until the next day or longer. read more

The security officer who was helping out with self checkout licked his fingers each time he needed to separate // open the plastic bags. After each lick, he then handled items. I stopped in to the pharmacy at this location on a Monday afternoon (3pm) and it was quite busy. Though it was busy behind the counter and filled with individuals regarding prescriptions, flu shots, COVID vaccines, etc. the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Store itself is nice and good location. The PHARMACY, on the other hand, needs major improvement. Never have I experienced such unprofessional and bad business practices in my life other than the CVS on kirkwood hwy. My doctor sent a prescription order in at 1115am. EST USA. I arrived at 12:55pm EST USA after waiting on line for what felt like eternity but was about 15 minutes, only to be told that my Rx was not ready yet and to return in 20 minutes. So I did return in 20 minutes and waited yet another 15 minutes only to be told by the same person that turned me away originally that we are now closed for lunch. They saw me in line way before lunch time and they told me to return in 20 minutes... I was told yet again we are closed can't help you now come back after 2pm. I am here now. You told me to return. My RX should have been completed than go to lunch. That is what a good business does for their customers!!! PHARMACY needs new staff or education in customer satisfaction read more

I just had the worst experience trying to talk to the pharmacy and ask a few simple questions about transferring a perscription in and finding out the cost. The pharmacy rep was clearly so annoyed by my questions - angry even? Not someone who should work in a field that includes customer service. Truly appalled. read more

I didn't even want to give one star. I called this pharmacy to see why I haven't received my prescription by mail, and no one will pick up the phone. I know my doctor has called in my prescription more than once and I still have not received it. Also, my insurance wants us to use this pharmacy. If you can't give service and you won't pick up the phone then please close your doors and go out of business. read more

Needed a prescription filled, just had eye surgery, I was prescribed an antibiotic for my eye. On my way home I stopped at the CVS in Bear. I was told it would be filled in 2 Hrs. Went back at 5PM, which was 2.25 hrs later, waited in a long line for 20 minutes till I got to the front of the line. Then I was told its not ready. Of course I was furious. I was told that they would call me when it was ready. It is now 10:30 AM the next day, no call from CVS, can not get through on the phone, it is busy. If they could not fill it in a timely manner they could have told me. I guess I can just get an infection and loose my eye. What do they care. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO ANY CVS. read more

My husband has a lot of illnesses and his care is very complex. Because of that I have experience with many many pharmacies but this pharmacy is the absolute worst of all the pharmacies I've ever been to and probably in the history of all pharmacies ever! I was told it is the busiest pharmacy in the entire state of Delaware. So beware and do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I received a text message stating my prescription was ready for pick up. I was already out and about so I decided to stop by and pick it up. When I arrived. I gave the cashier name date of birth. She came back with two prescriptions aspirin 81mg and Rosuvastatin 10 mg. I explained to cashier their a mistake my cardiologist just raised the dosage to 20 mg. ( last month) And I already picked that up. (I get a 90 day supply) she states how are we to KNOW that! Are you kidding me. I thought that was part of the Pharmacist responsibilities. Keeping track of the medicine patients are taking ensure safety. They were just ready to give me another 90 day supply of Rosuvastatin. (Now wrong dosage) then the cashier got made a me for not wanting it. She copa an attitude with me. Then the Pharmacist jumps in and gets on me. She states she had questions about the same thing that's why it was noted in the computer. First of all. If the Pharmacist has questions about dosage. She should contact my Doctor. Not give me a Hard time! After all, that is part of their job isn't it? To ensure the medication she is giving me is what the Doctor order. Or there is no risk with the mixing of other medications. As a former Director of Operations (retired) I can tell you your pharmacy staff from the Pharmacist down need training on Customer Service (people skills) I am sure they're proficient in their individual skill of filling a prescription but where is the customer service at? This has to be 90% of the job or better. read more

This pharmacy is the absolute best. As long as they are there, I will not go anywhere else. You are treated like family, well respected, they are kind and go out of their way to help you with anything. Most times I never even needed to ask for assistance, it was automatically offered.
