I went here recently to get another MMR vaccine shot. The employee was kind enough to talk to me as he was prepping things up. I was a bit late, but they understood. The employee told me that the reason my two other vaccines got canceled was because my insurance didn't want to cover it. I then speculated that it was because I had gotten a lot of vaccines in the past. He said that's most likely the reason. read more

I get my prescriptions filled here and that goes well. HOWEVER... This store has some weird problem when it comes to selling gift cards... you know, regular gift cards like you would buy to give to friends and family for birthdays and holidays. They have these for sale at both the front of the store and the back, near the pharmacy. I like to come here to buy gift cards at Christmas because they carry cards from many different stores. And every single year, I have some issue with my purchase. For some reason, I think the situation will be fixed and I try again the next Christmas, but nope... they still have trouble selling some cards. Yesterday, I brought a few cards up to the register. First, the cashier could not get the machine to recognize my phone number, even though I had just used the same phone number at the back of the store in the pharmacy a couple of minutes before. She tried it a few times, then gave up trying to use my phone number. Then she started scanning the gift cards. She got them all scanned and collected my cash and printed out the receipt... then she said there was a problem with one of the cards. She pulled the cash back out of the drawer and set it aside. Then she began looking up each gift card on the receipt and found which one was not read correctly. That was a Home Depot card for $100. She pulled the Home Depot card out of the group and set it aside. Then she printed out a refund slip, told me to sign it, and gave me my $100 back. She said the Home Depot card didn't scan correctly. When I asked if she could try again, she said no. When I asked if we could try another Home Depot card, she said no. I asked what we could do to make a Home Depot card purchase go through, she said the Home Depot cards would not work. What the hell does THAT mean? The Home Depot gift cards are for sale right there on the shelf, so I would think they could be purchased. I suspect she was frustrated and just didn't want to try again. and I think she was just done with me. Off I went to Home Depot and bought my card. I was trying to save the trouble of going to individual stores during holiday time to buy gift cards, but this grumpy lady didn't really care. Like I said, there is some issue every single year trying to purchase gift cards here. I don't know if it's "operator error", the very old cash register system they have here, or some other issue... but it is very irritating. read more

I come here twice a month to pick up meds and everyone at the pharmacy is always friendly and helpful. Very rarely will one of my meds be back ordered, but that's more on the manufacturer than anything. THIS LOCATION'S PHARMACY IS TRANSPHOBIC Hi trans friends! If you see this, this pharmacy specifically will not fill any HRT prescriptions. I gave 4 days to navigate the hoops of getting Testosterone. Doc sent it over, pharmacy "didn't receive it", the typical. After my doctor communicating with them 3x, they called me to tell me they do not accept coupons for controlled substances. As we all know, CVS as a company typically does. Go somewhere else or if you have monetary access, pay for plume or folx. I've been shopping at this CVS since it opened about 2 decades ago...This store doesn't restock inventory- even employees tell me that they wait for Another Company to come & empty trucks- crazy..Store is remodeled & clean, as many shelves Empty...give coupons for products They Don't Have...and when u have good coupons like 30% off order- always a wait & a problem...I h8 coming here, but Riteaid closed...better stocked store....& if u want certain items like batteries, laundry soap, etc..have to Wait fir for an overwhelmed employee to Open for you....Sucks read more

Ignore any of the other reviews! This is a CVS with real people not a concierge at the Roosevelt. The photo printing machine was not printing at first. However Valeria, the amazing associate, took it upon herself to make sure I had a fantastic experience. She went above and beyond to assist me with my photos, showing true dedication and exceptional service. She had hand cut every single page to ensure that it fit just right. I came here to get my covid test 30 minutes early, like I always do when I go to Walgreens to avoid having to wait for a long time but they told me that they couldn't because they have two people in front of me. The test takes 5 minutes to get it done and there were no cars in front of me it was just me!!! Really! Not coming back, there's too many Walgreens I can go too. They refused my return that I purchased the day prior to returning it, or attempting should I say. This is because the gentlemen at the cvs I purchased the item from didn't print me the original receipt he gave me a paper copy from the printer so when I contacted him by phone he wouldn't even verify with the other cvs clerk that it was a valid receipt record for my purchase. Both clerks from both cvs locations had no interest in helping me whatsoever. There lack of customer service skills is a disgrace. I highly recommend avoiding this cvs and the one in Newport as well at the east bluff village center. read more

With customer service like this one can see why CVS pharmacies are closing all over town. From the manager Shontelle to her flippant and rude to customers employee Heaven, these guys will take no accountability for not knowing how to do their jobs, cop an attitude with a customer, and at one point tell me I can leave when all I'm trying to do is get a refund and the only thing holding me up is her attitude and stalling. This is all over a corporate coupon that I can't seem to get on the vitamins I'm trying to buy. There's all kinds of new excuses from them that aren't on the coupon. I told them I've done this before without issue. But all they do is keep repeating the same nonsolution or lame excuses. Heaven should be fired. Shontelle is a terrible manager. You can always tell a bad manager when they not only fail to handle the situation of a rude employee but act cocky and not scared at all when you say you're gonna take it to their boss. Good luck. There's a reason why these places are closing. It's the employees. They feel put out by having to do their jobs. Except the store you closed. Every time I've had the pleasure to be helped by him, always super polite. But today when i need to make adjustments to my transactions, he helped me every step of the way. When one thinks of a pharmacy one expects it to be clean, orderly, you know, a place where you'd feel comfortable picking up medications. This CVS projects a lack of concern where cleanliness is involved. The front entrance's sidewalk and walls could use a good pressure wash. The garbage strewn about the trash receptacle near the front door is so warm and inviting. CVS might consider emptying the cans more than once a week. Inside was a step up, looking more like one would expect. But, thanks to Covid-19 and the government paying people NOT to work, the store was understaffed. {{sigh}} read more

Nothing spectacular about this CVS, except the fact that the parking lot is basically a homeless camp. Trash, including masks and Covid test kits litter the whole area. Surrounded by overgrown bushes..wouldn't recommend going here at night. Shady AF. Because of this, I had all my prescriptions transferred to Walgreens down the street. read more

I've been coming to this CVS for years and I've never really had an issue with any employee until now. I went in today, 2/26/24, around 12:30pm. After gathering my items to purchase, I noticed no one was at the check stands, but self checkout was open. I also noticed an employee sitting in a chair right in front of the self checkout working on what looked like products for the store. I myself, prefer having a cashier help me rather than self checkout so I asked her if there were any cashiers available. She then had the nerve to tell me rather gruffly, "self checkout is open," and waved her arm in that direction. I politely told her I'd rather have a cashier help me, in which she gave no reply but rather begrudgingly got up from her chair and started to ring me up. This was at 12:55pm. On my receipt, it says her name is Rhonda , cashier #1461206, Reg#4. This lady needs to take note: if someone asks for a cashier, DO NOT direct them to self checkout and dismiss them! Get off your butt and HELP THEM. I've heard her do this in the past with other customers and I think it is so rude. I hope management speaks to her about this and gives her an attitude adjustment. Got covid screen for travel in this location but tbey lost my daughter's specimen and had to go to all the way to Ontario airport to get it done asap.. doesnt even have a solution to the problem or a sevice recovery..and that girl "NORMA" very rude and no customer service skills!!! WORST CVS TO USE YOUR COUPONS!!! They're literally the coupon police when you try to use multiple coupons that should be allowed, especially Diana! This is the only store that gives me issues. They need to properly understand the meanings 1 coupon per purchase. 1 coupon per purchase means I am allowed to use one coupon per item I purchase. That does not mean I am only allowed to use one per transaction because the coupon does not state 1 coupon per transaction! I will be informing corporate of this issue to hopefully they can train the employees on the coupon policy. They also would not allow me to do multiple transactions on my card because I was using more coupons. For crying out loud! Just let a girl coupon! read more

Stopped by on my way home to fill a prescription. WOW... they're busy. I waited about 5 minutes just to get to the counter to drop off the paper. She asked me a few questions and rudely said she couldn't find me. She kept asking me to repeat my birthday (I counted 5 times) and asked if it was for me. Once I established this for her... she magically found me. She asked when I would be picking it up... and I said, "Well, when will it be ready?" She gave me a 20 minute time frame. I decided to wait and sat myself down. Ten minutes later... my name gets called over the intercom. The line to pick up prescriptions was ridiculous! There were 6 people in front of me. The lady at the register was super sweet and helpful. 5 stars for her. But the CVS that's closer to my house its faster, more efficient, and all the employees are nice. read more

CVS 611 is my designated location and I'm usually very pleased with it. Not today. I was next in line at the checkout when I was ushered to the self checkout. While I often prefer self checkout, I have had difficulty using it at 611in the past and it happened again today. Staff had to get involved and after scanning their card to reset my purchase, I was told by staff to try again. I'm able to scan item, my Carecard on my phone and insert my debit card. Then system tells me there's an error and summons staff. I made 2 attempts and I could been out the door if I'd used regular checkout. I later read a notification on my phone from CVS saying, "oops" You're not connected to the internet." I won't be signing into your Wi-Fi or adjusting my cellular connection to make a simple purchase at the self checkout. That's not necessary at other stores. I canceled the transaction and made my one item purchase at Stater Brothers across the street. Your self c/o needs an overhaul. I apologized to the young lady staff member for expressing my frustration out loud. It wasn't her fault. I also asked her to relay my frustration to management. read more

I usually go to another pharmacy down the street from this one. However, when I stopped by my normal pharmacy to get a flu shot a few weeks ago, the workers were on strike. They said it was only a one day strike and, well, being the nice guy I am, I wanted to support these fellow working class folks, so I figured I'd go to this CVS pharmacy instead. I mean, it's only a flu shot, right? This should be simple. Well, compared to the pharmacy I normally go to, this CVS had three times the number of employees working in their pharmacy. And yet, they somehow managed to be three times as slow! I had to wait in a huge, slow-moving line to get up to the counter to get the form I needed to sign to get the flu shot. After I sign it, they try to tell me that I have to go to the back of the line and wait in line all over again just to hand the paperwork back to them. Hahaha...yeah, right! I already waited in that line. Here's the damn paper -- get my shot. They tell me it will take a few minutes to prepare the shot. OK, no problem...I've had flu shots before. I know the drill. It usually takes about 5-10 minutes or so to get the injection ready. Well, 20 minutes later, it's still not ready and I ask them about the hold up and they explain, "Well, the injections are refrigerated and we have to wait for the drug to warm up before we inject you with it." I reply, "Yeah, I know that. Isn't that what the last 20 minutes has been all about...ya know, warming up and preparing the shot?!?" They reply, "Uh, yeah." And I ask, "OK, so what's the hold up? Let's do this." Turns out that, despite hordes of employees aimlessly milling around the pharmacy area, nobody had even bothered to start preparing the shot. *sigh* C'mon...get with the friggin' program, people! Anyway, you get the idea. 35 minutes later, I'm finally headed for the exit...all for a flu shot that usually takes about 10 minutes at my normal pharmacy. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here. read more
