Collectible Things and Stuff [Martha's Vineyard MA]…read more The shops along this path are small and cute and the merchandise are unique and interesting. Stony Creek is one of the local businesses in the small town of Aquinnah. Family owned and operated gift shop. I perused through the various items that included wall decors for indoor or outside, pottery, collectible seashells, handmade American-Indian jewelry and also family-made Wampum jewelry. I originally thought "wampum" is an Indian tribe... I was corrected and the true meaning is that of beads of polished shells strung in strands, belts, or sashes and used by North American Indians as money, ceremonial pledges, and ornaments. They sold these as earrings and pendant forms with various stones and shells. I purchased a few stone animals... I'm not sure what kind of stone they are made of but they are between 1-1/2" to 2" in height and width. They are cute and I bought enough for each of my co-workers except I forgot to give it to them when I got back from vacay... in fact, I completely forgot about this purchase. I'm not sure now if I still want to give it to them and keep for myself LoL! The little turtles were popular... I picked up what's left. My little animals were carefully packed with TLC and wrapped and placed in a small heavy-duty plastic bag. So cute! Review #3029

Seashells, jewelry, home goods, you-name-it, they've got it, and some truly unique finds. I wish I'd come more prepared to shop for my home, I could've really decked the place out! The owners clearly take pride in their curation. I didn't buy everything I wanted, so I will be back!

Locally made crafts/gifts/cards and the store is filled to the brim with lovely things! Good to note: If you put 50 Pleasant street Norwich in your GPS it will take you to the back of the building which is the wrong side. Go past pleasant st and the parking lot is on your left! Or search for Dexters smoothie and Coffee vault. The location is a little odd but definitely a hidden gem!

It's hard to walk away from this store coz it's so cute n adorable and evokes an interest just from the outside and makes you curious on what you may find inside... its quite small .. a hodgepodge of wonderful handmade crafts all made locally in CT... makes for a one of a kind gift... I bought some whimsical clips and rings for the kids and they weren't priced too high which makes it all the more wonderful.... hard to list what you can find coz there are just too many knick knacks but to give you an idea handmade greeting cards, seasonal items... earrings, lip balm holders, hand carved stone animals...you can spend a good lot of time if you enjoy things like this. Also, when you purchase goods from local artisans, you're supporting their business, which helps strengthen the local economy.

Totally love the Beach House Gift Shop! During my first trip…read moreto Martha's Vineyard, we visited Vineyard Haven. Just stumbled upon this shop. The shop has beautiful homey items- Table cloths, napkins, towels, closet accessories.... I purchased the most fragrant Lavender and eucalyptus sachets. It's known as sachets by the yard. It was about $24.00. You can hang the entire yard of sachets in the closet or you can cut them to have individual packets. I wish the iPhone had an app where everyone could smell this wonderful scent. I also purchased lavender sachets to give to mom. The manager was super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely return to this shop. I just have to be careful because I could spend a fortune here. LOL...

The moment I walked by the Beach House, I instantly noticed the beautiful kitchen ware in the window. Our party finally went inside and my boyfriend and I settled on a set of cloth napkins. We had been looking for a nice set for a long while, but couldn't quite find a set that spoke to us until we visited this lovely shop. The short blonde lady who waited on me was very sweet and patient. However, her co-worker, a taller blond lady, took her place and was extremely curt and rude. It took me by surprise because we were having such a lovely experience. She snatched my credit card out of my hand, and when she was finished processing my purchase, she literally threw it back at me on the counter. Then, she reluctantly wrapped my napkins, but it was with full contempt. Why? I have no idea since the other lady was very nice and I had barely interacted with them or anyone else in the store prior to that moment. I hope that if I do visit this shop again, that I have a nicer experience, and perhaps do not run into that lady.
