Great haircut, good price, friendly conversation, no frills…read more I'm new in Chatham CO and my neighbor recommended Cadle's and I'm really glad he did. Cadle's is an old-fashioned barber shop with two cutting chairs and a row of waiting chairs. It's first-come, first-served, but when I showed up at about 2:00 on a Tuesday, I was first in line. If you're looking for a "salon" keep moving: Cadles gives a good cut, including the hot razor trim at the neckline, and figures (correctly) that you can wash your own hair. Mr. (Cadle) Cooper is a fount of knowledge about the area and has lots of good stories about Pittsboro. In short, I couldn't recommend Cadle's more highly.

I was 10 minutes early and Matt at first didn't say anything to me. Then said "oh are you David" after he was sitting there just on his phone. Then sighed and said "seems like everyone is just going to be early today". Which if you are trying to live up to "Grumpy Barber" they definitely did. Most importantly how was the hair cut? I showed him a picture of my standard haircut which is very straight forward and the majority of it is a buzz. He did it super fast and was super aggressive with my head. Shook it around all the time to get hair off which was not a pleasant experience. Then he was very pushy about giving a tip afterwards. When I got home I found a ton of uneven cuts and had to redo my haircut. That's always the worst thing afterwards. If you go here I hope you have a better experience than I did!

I tried Rock's because they advertised catering to masculine styles but also seemed to have pretty experienced people working there, and the haircut I'm looking for can be tricky to get right mostly because it can look really bad if done wrong. I am happy I gave Rock's a chance, my hair came out great and I've been happy with it for several months now. I came back again just this week and I expect to be returning for the foreseeable future. Boy, am I glad I decided to come back. I booked a 2pm appointment with Heidi. I arrived around 2 minutes early and was promptly checked in. I was also asked if I wanted a complimentary beverage, and I asked for a coffee (which ended up being amazing). I didn't wait long--I was seated for my haircut at 2:06 PM. I told Heidi what I wanted and she asked detailed questions making sure I was happy with the length on top and sides before she got started. She then proceeded to cut my hair, and had great conversation along the way. She was really easy to talk to. She shampooed my hair and styled it to make sure it was up to her own standards, which I greatly appreciated. The cut cost $30 not including gratuity. Overall, I highly recommend this salon and Heidi in particular. I will certainly be back.
