I would avoid this place like the plague. Approximately 18 months ago, I purchased two Sabal Palms…read morewith their warranty during the spring. In three months, one of the palms was in full bloom and growing nicely, while the other was stagnant and not showing any signs of growth, so I called them and advised them. The owner's daughter, Giselle, said to give it a bit more time, that sometimes it may take a bit longer, so I did. I waited three more months, and nothing happened, so she agreed to have it replaced under one of the warranties I had purchased. I went to pick out the replacement, and at the time, they had very little to choose from, so she recommended one and said it should grow nicely. Then, when Jorge came to replace the tree, he was puzzled that the original one did not take root and said the root system looked to be dead, and that sometimes it happens. He then replanted the replacement. I waited another six months for spring to come, for the tree to start showing signs of growth. Two reams began to show, but that was all. I called them back and spoke to Giselle, and explained the issue with the replacement. Her reply that the warranty comes with one replacement, I then explained that it could be possible that I was sold another dead tree. Mined you, I purchased two warranties. She continued to stand on only one replacement and could not pass that it was possible the replacement was also a bad tree. I asked to speak to the owner directly and ask for his name, and she refused ended communicate with me at that point. I called a local specialist on Palm trees, and he agreed that the replacement palm was dying. This afternoon I found the tree on the ground. I would never recommend any of their Palm trees or service, and clearly avoid warranty from them as it is a waste of your money. Replacing a bad tree with another bad tree is not a good business practice and a fair warranty.

We recently built in St. James. Awful experience. Didn't show up when scheduled. Our landscaping…read morewith Parker was over $28K. Once spring arrived and things started to bloom we knew we had a problem. Numerous dead plantings, one expensive tree and new Bermuda sod that once it came out of dormancy was a field of weeds. Took weeks for someone to come out view the mess. He determined that it was due to the harsh winter. They planted everything in the Winter! And, all landscapers that I have dealt with have guaranteed their work and plants for a year. Not Parker.

I recently had a house built in St James Plantation, Southport NC and one of the mistakes I made…read morewas selecting John Parker Landscaping. I selected them because they provided me with a plan that looked great, included plants that I wanted and was within my $10000 budget (except for the upgraded zoysia sod I chose). The execution of said plan was far from what was promised. The landscaping was done early March 2016. The plan called for 112 plants and 4 trees...I know I was missing a tree and then I decided to count the plants and realized that I only had 102!. Specific plants that were promised were never planted and rather than turn over the ground in the back of my property and treat for weeds, they simply threw pine straw mulch so it is now nothing more than a huge weed patch. NUMEROUS emails and phone calls have gone unanswered They did drop off 10 azelia plants but did not bother to plant them until I called multiple to tell them they were dying in their pots. It is three months now and my last communication that again went unanswered was a week ago. I am wiring this review so you won't make the same mistake. I wanted to give them ample time to fix the problems however they continue to not respond to my efforts to communicate with them so now I am going to hire another local company to come in fix this mess. My advice... DO NOT USE this company and share that information with anyone who might be considering building in the Wilmington area.
