During the consultation, I was told my natural root color was already the perfect shade for what I was going for. However, a root smudge was applied that made my roots noticeably darker than my natural color, and the bleach was brought very close to the root. This resulted in a much higher-contrast look than what I requested, and not the soft, blended, lived-in blonde I was going for. I understand that a root smudge can come out a little darker, but I don't understand why a root smudge was done, or why bleach was put so close to my roots when I specifically asked for it to gradually fade. Now it's much darker roots and a harsh line. I'm disappointed, especially because I specifically asked to keep my natural root color. I feel like this was done in order to charge the client more. I would recommend having a detailed consultation and clarifying exactly how close to the root lightener will be applied before starting.

Then two months before my wedding they call me to let me know that the makeup artist I booked is canceling our session because she will not be there (which is fine things come up) but they end the call with "Soooo do you have a backup plan or?" I'm sorry? Aren't you supposed to be offering me a "backup plan"? Guess not. Anyways, I've heard great reviews about this business and I just wasn't the lucky one that got a great experience dealing with them.
