Not so many young women, but there are a few. Zia, the instructor, is great. He's helpful at pointing out where to improve. Membership lets you use the courts anytime; they aren't open to the public. Only have to pay extra for the clinics. Sometimes the courts get busy, but they are open pretty long hours during the summer, even during night since there are bright lights. Well worth it :)

I spoke to some ladies (long time members) in the change room and just hearing from their feedback and from my personal observation, I got a pretty good impression on the overall feel of the club and the quality service they provide. Club general - modern, big, well maintained, and clean. Change room has a huge hot pool (Jacuzzi like with bubbles) for relaxation which is great. Towels are ample in the shower area. There is a restaurant in the club. Front desk - friendly and warm. If I live close by in Mississauga, I would certainly join this club.

Since it was a birthday party, I don't know what it costs to rent out all of the ice (or the sheets, as they call it), but if drinking and throwing stones down ice sounds like your kind of thing, I'm certain it's worth it. The bar was a bit pricier than I was anticipating. I was picturing more like a legion-style situation, with twoonie beers and no mix, but they actually have a proper wooden bar that takes debit and serves up $20 pitchers. Not as fun as what I was picturing, but fair enough, it is in beautiful High Park after all. Sweep!

My curling debut was pretty memorable, as I caught on relatively quickly to how the game works. The staff here gives an exhaustive explanation of the rules and makes it easy for novices to pick up the game. Great game, better company, made for a pretty amazing three hours on a Friday afternoon. We had unfettered access to the entire rink, which made for an exclusive experience. Solid beer selection behind the bar certainly doesn't hurt. Can't wait until next year's Malanka Curling Cup in January!

There are a lot of fitness options, and although I am not a tennis or squash player, my buddies seem to enjoy the courts. The people running the place are always supportive and friendly, so I thought I would give them a 5 star review because I feel they deserve it and because I take advantage of what they have to offer and I enjoy my time spent there.
