My son and husband went in for haircuts, and the results were truly disappointing. When my husband walked through the door, my first reaction was, "Who cut your hair, a 5-year-old!?" I couldn't believe someone who cuts hair for a living actually let him leave looking like that. The haircut was uneven, choppy, and just poorly done. Unfortunately, my son's haircut was no better. I ended up having to fix both of their haircuts at home and for the record, I'm not a hairdresser. But somehow, with no professional training, I managed to clean it up and make it look presentable, which says a lot about the quality of work they received. This place has absolutely no ability to check people in properly or in the order they arrive. Twice now, I've shown up for a haircut only to be ignored and left unregistered. When they finally decide to check people in, they don't even bother asking who was first--it's complete chaos. This level of incompetence is unacceptable. I have been using this establishment for over two years now to cut my hair. Cheryl, Angela, and the other girls do a awesome job! I usually wait on Cheryl but you cannot go wrong with any of the ladies. There usually isn't a wait but if you have its worth it. The shop is kept immaculate and that is important in this line of work. They are also talkative and not standoffish. Once they cut your hair once or twice they remember your name. This is consistent also, not hit and miss type of customer service and quality. read more

I have been getting my hair cut and colored there ever since they opened. The manager that does not work there anymore (Cheryl) would take an appointment and would keep the appointment. Not anymore. The new management makes you wait for hours. It does not matter if you have been going there for 2 years or you first time there you wait. I called a week ago for an appointment and people were called before me. They have lost a very good customer and a good tipper because they are walk in only.I could see if I only wanted a hair cut but hair cut and color you should be able to make an appointment. read more

Worst hair experience of my life!!! I went in for a hair cut and left with my hair brutally massacred. When nicely expressing to the stylist, Shonda that she had and was cutting too much of hair (which resembled nothing close to the picture) she replied that I only needed to merely "bump it". If that wasn't bad enough (after crying all the way home and later bumping it) when I called back to speak to the Manager, Amanda she was worst than the stylist! She nonchalantly told me that she was aware of the situation because along with the stylist, Shonda admitting to butchering my hair she actually stood witness but there were too many customers for her to stop me the day in questioning. When I went to get my money back from the so called Manager, Amanda she felt it necessary to enlighten me on how long the stylist Shonda has worked for Cuts by Us and never received a complaint. That really infuriated me! How was that relevant to my visibly choppy hair? I will NEVER go back here again and New Management is more then necessary! read more

I'm new to Tifton and am still searching for a hairstylist. I've been here a few times and no one really stands out, but a couple are better the others. My most recent haircut here was probably the worst haircut I've had in my life. The right side of my head is the most butchered taper I've ever seen. The left side isn't even tapered. It's just shaved all the way up. The top of my head is all different lengths. I'm afraid to even look at the back. read more

Only place open on a Saturday that had decent reviews. Extremely disappointed with my cut. I brought pictures of the cut to eliminate any confusion of what I wanted & the stylist still managed to mess it up. I wanted a long angled bob... She cut so much off it's pretty much the same length all around, barely an angle to it & it's about 2" past my chin now. 3-4" shorter than it should be on the sides!! this business recently opened in the Publix shopping plaza. they were offering discounted haircuts for their grand opening. i needed my shaggy head trimmed up so i stopped in. i was looking forward to a nice haircut before leaving tifton. as stated in other reviews, i prefer the discount chains because they're quick and cheap. i wanted to give this establishment more stars. initially, my stylist was impressive. i was somewhat perplexed though why my cut was taking so long. i keep it simple and standard...short on the sides, trimmed on the top, kind of a "boxy" style. it's what i say everytime i get my hair cut. why this is a hard cut, i don't know. she kept my back toward the mirror the entire cut, so i had no idea what was going on. when she finished, and i saw my haircut, i wanted everything shorter...shorter on the sides and top. she then used the clippers and ran it over my whole head giving me that uniform, round head look. i was not impressed, but didn't press it because i had been in there 45 minutes and needed to run more errands. when i showered, i noticed several stragler hairs and uneven-ness. i returned the next day, and the staff was very apologetic and pleasant. my new stylist sat me right away and cleaned me up. however, to correct some of the uneven-ness, she had to cut a little more, so now i'm left with more of a military style cut, something i don't really care for. 5 stars for my follow-up cut, 2 stars for my initial cut. read more

FYI: DONOT ever go to Cuts By Us in Tifton if you like your hair. They demolished my long hair to the point that I had to go to another salon to get it cut short to attempt to fix it. So much for getting just getting it trimmed and thinned out. Instead she wacked it up to the point it was so uneven there was no fixing it without getting it short. If you like your hair WARNING DONOT GO THERE. Oh and by the way If you want your money back be prepared to have to argue for it. read more

This has been the worst salon experience of my life. I've always had long wavy hair with bangs. I went by to get a bang trim and some long layers. My stylist called me back and was so rude. I kept trying to make small talk, but she continued to be rude and gave me short hmmphs to my trying to connect with her. She was pregnant, so maybe that was why she was so rude. As I stated earlier, my hair is long and curly, she began combing out my hair, very roughly, and I have a tough head, but she almost brought tears to my eyes. I kept getting the feeling, I should just run, far far from her, but I didn't want to hurt her feelings or be rude. So wish I would have left before the cut. After she pulled my hair out from combing so rough, she asked what I wanted, just a bang trim. She just grabbed my bangs and cut them way to short. She asked if I wanted layers, I told her maybe some long layers. She cut the front and sides so short. It looks like a mullet. My hair was all one length, and went down to bottom of back. Now it looks terrible... I've cried and cried, I have to wear a hat all the time it looks so bad. I know, as she said, hair grows back, but my hair has always been long, it's more like a pixie cut with hair long in back. My shortest layers are 2 inches and there's no way to style it. Most of the other girls there were very nice, but the stylist I got was rude and unskilled. You've messed up my year, because that's how long it's gonna take to grow back. read more
