Ended up getting a basic cut ($35) by Drew, which the basic cut comes with a razor blade finish and a hot towel. Drew was very chill and respected my choice to just vibe. For someone who's been doing this before he was 20, it definitely shows in his work! The entire shop was a vibe and it's the perfect spot for anyone or any background or gender. First time going and I'm pretty sure it won't be my last! The prices are SLIGHTLY higher than most barbershops. About a $10.00 difference from most cuts. But the professionalism and quality of your haircut is definitely worth it. Cool spot that is associated with the Locker Room Vintage shop (besides dominoes pizza), which I had the chance to visit as well. I made an appointment on my birthday to get a skin fade, my neck cleaned up, and beard lined up. Without going into a tirade rant, the experience was not good. Inside, the space is very open and airy with high ceilings and large windows. There's up-tempo hip-hop and rap music playing in the background. The overall atmosphere seemed pretty chill. It kinda reminded me of VIP Barbershop Lounge in downtown Norfolk on Granby Street. I came here recently for a trim and my barber was Donny. I wanted a very classic military-style haircut: high and tight on the sides and back with a high skin fade, nothing off the top, just shape it up, make it look neater and sharpen my edges. The whole time, I was just watching Donny's technique and I could tell he knew what he was doing. So I had no reason to think he would F up my hair...lol Whew, that's a relief. Afterwards, he even tidied up my facial hair too. Total damage came out to about $30 and change. That's not bad and saves me the long trip to Virginia Beach where I usually spend about the same, sometimes a few bucks more, just to get my haircut.
