I have gotten lower estimates but I think I rather pay a little more knowing I'm in good hands and I think everyone can agree with that. Now, the staff was very welcoming and very nice so I was talking to the staff about lowering my car and doing other repairs in the future and they basically told me that I shouldn't and that a lot of mechanics will turn away modified cars due to their geometry and needing a special lift.. but I am still going to haha, I'm a little stubborn so hopefully they will still service my car in the future and be my permanent mechanic going forward! Extra things to note, they do have a waiting room and they offer things to eat and drink!

I moved to Woodlawn and was looking for a mechanic to take care of my car. An old man told me he is going to send me to a mechanic and he is so good, I will be going to him 20 years from now. Well, I went to Charlie on this man's recommendation and I have been with him close to 30 years! Everyone searches for a great doctor well this man is like finding a great doctor for your car! Since the first time I walked through his shop, I knew I was in good hands and I wouldn't go to any other mechanic in the area other than Charlie and his crew! You would be wrong. I recently went in because I was an experiencing a sound underneath my 2010 Honda CR-V every time I hit a bump or hole. They looked and said I needed new lower control arms and rear-front assemblies. Final tally: $3000. I thought that was a little steep so I took the car to my uncle - a Honda mechanic for 35 years - 2.5 hours up north. He took a look and told me that not only was the suspension perfectly fine, but the problem was the flange of the B-Pipe tying into the muffler was rotted out, causing the pipe to sag and flop around - hence the sound I've been hearing. Ironically enough the mechanic at Central Tire failed to notice this problem. Needless to say, I will never be going to this place ever again. They will never get another dime of my money - not even for a tire plugging. Makes me wonder how much money they stole from me over the years but no sense in crying over spilt milk at this point.
