Took my machine there to be serviced after seeing online and on their website, as well as printed on their storefront that they fix all models, got to the location and they only do a specific type, so that was disappointing. The staff was friendly about it but it was a wasted trip. Call ahead to inquire. read more

What a GEM of a company!! Professional and super personal!! From the women in the office to Evan, the owner, job was done 100%!! I can't say enough about them. I never had a central vac system and now that I have it, I can not believe I lived without one. The experience from start to finish was seamless. Evan ALWAYS returns phone calls which is super important to me. I highly recommend them!! read more

Great company to work with and were highly recommended by family. We had an old existing central vac system but I was interested in the hide a hose system for ease of use and convenience. It was certainly an investment for my husband and I to upgrade to hide a hose but I think it's worth it. Evan and a colleague had sealed off unnecessary old ports and converted my traditional central vac to hide a hose. Everything was explained and discussed prior to work rendered. Evan is very personable, knowledgeable and respectful of our home. He has given us great customer service and we are thrilled to use our new hide a hose central vac. Thanks Evan! read more

Summary: Evan is absolutely fantastic, and so is the work he does and the price he offers. I'm happy to talk to anyone as a referral and provide more details. Service: Evan arrived on time like he indicated, was polite, fast, and attentive. He even kept taking his shoes off to walk on our new hardwood floors with socks so he didn't track dirt or scratch them, even while he was working. He went out of his way to make things right every step of the way. He paid attention to the little things that mattered to us. He brought 2 different vacuum systems and let us try them both (they performed exactly like he said they would). And his install was exactly like the estimate described and very neat and tidy. Price: Custom Vacuum Systems is a family owned business that's been around forever, so we were happy to keep the money local and in the hands of small business. But we definitely did our homework and shopped around, that's for sure! When Evan gave us the quote we thought he was leaving out several things the other guys were including, so he politely expanded the words on the quote to be extra explicit that we were wrong and his price was just that much better. We also didn't have to leave a deposit which was nice, and we were very happy with the overall value and price of the system and service. Product: We went with the following: x2 Hide a Hose systems, one upstairs and one downstairs, with 50' of hose in each x1 Port with 30' vacuum hose in the garage x2 Ports with 30' vacuum hose in the basement All the attachments and adapters and brushes and tools you could imagine, and 2 wall mountable extension handles; carpet and wood floor attachments, beater brush, you name it we got it x1 DB700 vacuum system (the one with the bags and filters to ensure there's no mess) We also had him vent it outside for any smells just in case, and he threw in a free set of bags to last for years. The system we went with is super strong and will support a 7,000 square foot house even though we only have like half that. Timing: The estimate took about an hour just because the wife kept asking questions and Evan have very thorough answers. He took the time to crawl in the attic and keep taking his shoes off, and gave us a very clear picture of where he would run all the pipe and how it would look. We were sold right there. The actual job took about 6 hours, and there were a guys for about 3 of those hours, both very professional. Evan showed and did most of the work himself. And he again verified everything with us about where to place the ports and make the holes. All in all we couldn't be more pleased and would DEFINITELY recommend Evan and Custom Vacuum Systems to anyone around. read more

Called them to come check out my old existing central vac system from a new home purchase. They gave me a great deal to swap out with a much more powerful unit, changed out all of the old wall ports, & gave me a few accessories. Affordable price, friendly & professional service. Would recommend to friends & family read more

I have generally come to expect bad service, but once in a while, you have an excellent experience and need to share! After my central vac system died, I found the company through reviews. Evan was extremely responsive and knowledgeable. He provided a proposal and installed quickly. We also didn't have the right vacuum tools and he made recommendations while trying to utilize whatever we already had in the house to make it reasonable in terms of costs . We truly appreciated his professionalism and knowledge. He didn't try to "sell" you anything, just educate so you can make your decision. I would highly recommend and already did to family members! read more

Complete new system installed. Evan and Josh are as professional as can be. From the first meeting to the final install everything ran exactly as they said it would. They gave a quote and a timetable and stuck to both. The installation was neat and clean and the system (our third) is the best central vacuum system we have had. If you are looking for a great system with an even better service experience look no further. read more

We just had central vac- hide a hose installed our home. Evan was fantastic!!! A family owned and operated business that began with his grandfather. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about the product. We felt that he was very honest and did not pressure us to purchase anything that was not needed. We did our research before contacting them and we are thrilled to have used them. The install went very smoothly and efficiently. We had three zones installed and plus one in the garage! We are very happy and would highly recommend them. read more

We recently bought a ten year old condo with a builders special central vacuum system. In our previous house we had a Vacuflo system for twenty years in which we never had a problem. The suction of that unit was significantly more powerful than the one installed in the condo. We called Custom Vacuum Systems and spoke to Melissa and Evan the owner who told us our options. We decided on the disposable bag model (DB5000) which features a special triple layer CleanShield filter bag which captures 100% of dust and allergens in your house. The mechanic who came to change and install the new unit was a young man named Josh. He was incredible. The first thing he did was check our current system to see if there was any blockage in the hose lines. He said no use replacing a unit that just might need servicing due to blockage. After determining that the unit was working properly and was operating at its full capacity, he said the Vacuflo unit we had chosen would be significantly more powerful if we wanted to proceed. After we gave him the go ahead, he installed the new unit and then demonstated the increased suction power. It was exactly what we wanted. By the way while Josh was installing the new Vacuflo unit, I mentioned to him that I had a garage outlet on my previous unit for vacuuming my garage and cars. The condo unit system did not have one. He said no problem and put an outlet in for me while hooking up the new system at no extra charge!! Evan had also told Josh to give us six extra CleanShield six gallon filter bags which usually last six months to a year each. This is a special company with a special owner (Evan) who has hired special employees. Now I can see why they always have gotten 5 star ratings from all their customers. Highly recommended!! read more

Fantastic service from the start to finish! While gathering bids for repair on my central vac, I was told by every company that came in that they had never seen a system like mine and all wanted to replace the entire system to the tune of thousands. When I called Custom Vacuum. I was impressed from the start, I spoke to Holly who asked me to send her some pictures so they could be prepared and well versed when coming to look at the job. After reviewing the pictures, the owner Jim contacted me and set an appointment. Jim was right on time and knew exactly what kind of system I had. He presented many options and really tried to work with me to get the best system I could within my budget. Jim's son Evan who is also an owner came to do the installation along with a tech Josh. They started on time, were extremely knowledgeable, professional and were patient. They took the time to explain the job and to show me how to use the new system. They were able to change my system from one with 3 ports to only one. I can now vacumn my entire house, both upstairs and down with only one hose. This is a 3rd generation family business and it shows in the pride of work and service excellence. I would highly recommend and would absolutely do business with Custom again. and patient. read more

I work in a hotel for dogs and we are constantly using our wet/dry vac system everyday. We needed the motor replaced and it really put us behind on cleaning. The second the new motor was delivered, Evan scheduled an appointment to install it for us right away. He installed the part very quickly with no issues and even offered to check our vacuum hose for any clogs. Very kind, knowledgable man. Thank you! read more

A pleasure doing business with them. They honored the lifetime warranty on my 7 year old central vac system by replacing a failed $300 motor. I only paid a service charge of $149. They provided same day service and came promptly at the very beginning of the 2 hour window. Heartfelt thanks to Melissa and Josh. read more

My previous home had central vac serviced by custom vac exceptionally so when I moved into a smaller home I called them to install central vac in my smaller home. The problem was that it was an old home with no attic and a very few walls to run piping thru. I was addicted to central vac and had to have it. These guys came and figured it all out. They were able to install hide a hose to reach the entire house. These guys were real gentlemen, neat, friendly, and got the job done without a hitch. They exemplified the kind of workers and business men who are perfectionists , honest and caring for the needs of their customer. Without hesitation, if you are considering central vac, call them! read more

If you're looking for a reputable and more importantly a RELIABLE vacuum installation company, look no further. Custom Vacuum is top notch, bar none! Our last home had a central vac, with the detachable hose. When we moved to our new home, we decided to add a central vac, and had Custom Vacuum Systems give us a free estimate. We decided to install the hide a hose system. The product is awesome, (even better then the traditional central vac with detachable hose). The service and staff are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are courteous and professional. I highly recommend this company, and would absolutely use them again. read more
