The staff was really friendly. It's a wife and husband that operate the store. I did not buy anything nor really look at the prices, but I'm sure it's probably really comparable. It's so cute and the retails space is nice, it brought me joy to walk in and I would for sure some shop if I needed materials!

Yes, totally out of the way but worth it as I wanted to visit some new-to-me states along the way. Anyway, I found Domesticity through an internet search as I was researching potential stops on my roadtrip. It turns out there is also an epic, multi-state, shop hop going on as well and Domesticity is part of it! Of course I bought the corresponding magazine and my original road trip plans quickly pivoted to visiting many more quilt shops than I originally intended. Anyway, enough about me - more about Domesticity: It is such a lovely shop in a nice neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland. I would have checked out additional shops in the area but golly was it HOT! Domesticity offers a variety of fabrics including Ruby Star Society (my favorite), many many many others, and of course notions as well. The upstairs is also beautiful and I believe that is where some classes take place? I wish I took more pictures! Regardless, I will forever be indebted to the wonderful ladies at Domesticity for very, very patiently helping me pick out fabric for an upcoming quilt retreat I will be attending. I genuinely like the fabrics they helped me select and cannot wait to see how the quilt turns out! The prices were reasonable/comparable to other quilt shops I have visited. If you're in the area, or even if you are not, Domesticity is worth the trip!

The owners Gloria and Ron are very dedicated to making their customers a success. The staff who work there are also sewers/quilters and are anxious to help. Love their shop.

If I could leave negative stars I would!…read more DO NOT EVER...AND I MEAN EVER take a sewing machine to Glory Bee's Sewing Shop in Belair! Took my expensive embroidery machine to them during the pandemic when the Husqvarna dealer wasn't open...they lied and told me they were a certified repair place...had my machine for 9 months! When I took it to them it worked...the only thing that was broken was the reverse! Picked it up today because they claim they couldn't get the parts to repair it! Took it to the Husqvarna dealer who tried to test the machine...right in front of me and the machine turns on but the screen is blank and it won't work at all! I called them and I asked what did they do while they had it for 9 months...the first person I spoke with said, "Well it sat for nine months and a lot can happen when a machine sits that long"...lol dumbest thing I have ever heard! When I disagreed she said let me get the owner for you. Soooo...owner with an attitude answers the phone... I ask him to tell me what exactly they did while they had my machine for 9 months because it worked when I brought it in but now it does not...he said he would have to talk to the technician next week. Then He said that possibly the machine shorted out when they opened it which would explain why it doesn't work! If that's a risk...shouldn't you let me know that is a possibility? I could have waited and taken it to Husqvarna when they opened or could have continued using it only wouldn't be able to back stitch. Then when I told him I wanted my money back he started YELLING at me saying I brought them a defective machine and now I m trying to blame them for it not working! Then he (still yelling) told me people claim this all the time, lady! "Do you really want to go there, let's go there!" I wonder why they claim this? -- that you break their machines...CAUSE YOU DO BREAK THEIR MACHINES! I have spent ALOT of money in that store... but I WILL NEVER STEP IN THERE AGAIN! I took almost 30 shirts here on behalf of my company to have embroidered with our logo. I picked them up yesterday and almost every single shirt is RUINED because the embroidery job completed was absolutely terrible. Photo attached to see for yourself. I will be inquiring about a refund for the embroidery services and will also be inquiring about them paying for new shirts from Under Armour. I'm truly at a loss for words. Unacceptable to hand over shirts like this to a PAYING customer.
