Lisa was amazing. She chose what she thought would look good on me. She thought me about each kind of wig, how to put it on, take care of it and explained steaming it or bringing it in for them to do. I then put my favorite wig on , paid for it and walked out the door. As a chemo patient and being bald for the second time, I felt a little more like myself again! I'm very disappointed with the professionalism of this business! I scheduled an appointment for 10AM, and no one even arrived to open the shop until well after 10AM, and was then brought into a room for a consultation only to sit there for another 30 minutes before being told that they would need to reschedule my appointment out another week! I want to thank Lisa at Tampa Bay Custom Hair, Brandon location, for her outstanding service. Lisa is very kind, patient and caring spirit. She took a lot of time and pulled out a lot of wigs and a hairpiece for me to try on. She was never pushy and let me know that I needed to find a hairpiece or wig that I really like and felt good about. I never realized how much time goes into finding the right fit, color, and style. Unfortunately, I have a petite head so most of the wigs were too big or too much hair. We did find some styles that I liked but they were not petite or the right color. Unfortunately, I did not buy a wig or hairpiece that day, but I do plan on calling her in the near future to find out whether they got petite wigs in the color I liked. Went to Custom Wigs in Brandon fl in May as I was dealing with alopecia ,I was the first customer of the day I was greeted by a woman names Sandy ,I brought a friend with me as I valued her opinion we were told to just look around and see what interested us we found a few and was directed to a room at no time did the saleswoman ever measure my head to see if I was average or petite sz.I tried a few on that were on the heads out in the front,which I now know were the samples which apparently all stretched out but at the time I was never told this all she did was show me how to put it on I did not know what the routine was at no time did she bring me the same style in a box. I had another friend whom was kind enough to pay for this wig for me as I didn't know what they cost.Well I played $399.00 dollars plus 49.99 for the shampoo and conditioner plus a skinny brush,I've had nothing but problems with the wig ever since I've had to have wetting taken out cause it had to much hair for my face and had to have it taken in so it was smaller.So as I left the wig was thrown in a shopping bag along with the other products.I would advise people NOT to go to Custom Wigs if your looking for a good wig.They are Rip Offs I plan to file a report with the BBB this week.I just found a place closer to my home where she helped me get my wig to where I can feel very comfortable every time I put it on .AND OH BY THE WAY IM NOT AN AVERAGE IM A PETITE SZ. Great Selection, Quality Wigs, Wonderful Customer Service, Comfortable Atmosphere: I am a young female w/ extremely thin hair texture. Recently, my hair has become even thinner & started falling out over a very short period of time. My doctors are concerned but are still not sure of the cause or have a diagnosis. This has caused me an enormous amount of stress and anxiety having to deal with this, especailly at such a young age. I researched everything there is to know about wigs (and let me tell you are there is a lot to learn!), visited several wig shops and considering purchasing online. I have fair skin and blonde hair and am really looking for something similar to what my hair used to look like. I found that options for natural looking blonde hair was very limited and was becoming very upset. I ended up purchasing a darker color lace front synthetic wig. The color is OK but not what I was looking for. Very far from my natural hair. I have also found that this particular lace was very sharp and hurt the skin on my forhead. I purchased this just as a temporary solution and to see what wearing a wig would be like. I decided that I would give one more wig shop a chance to see if I could find something closer to what I wanted. I ended up at Custom Hair in Brandon yesterday. Sandy, the manager, is very knowledgeable and helped me try on a handful of wigs. The selection at Custom Hair is much better than other wig shops I have been to. They carry quaility wigs, such as virgin remy human hair wigs and wigs with comfortable high quailty caps such as lace front and monofilament tops, which create the ability to make a part anywhere on top of your head and give you the most natural look. She also told me that I could order the wigs in any color so I would be sure to get exactly what I wanted as far as color. I found a synethic wig I really liked, but thought it was a little pricey for me since it was only a synthetic wig (but the cap was very high quaility and I assume is the main reason for the price). I really wanted a Human hair wig but since my hair is naturally of thin texture most of the human hair wigs felt too dense to me. There was one wig that was less dense but was dark and had curls. A wig of such quaility is not something to play with. So before I could purchase a wig I have to be sure it was exactly what I want. Sandy offered to go straighten out the curls in the front so I could get a better idea of what it would look like on me. Since I am unsure the cause of my hair loss & thinning, if it will get worse, and the doctors are currently working on it with treatments I was not ready to commit to a wig just yet so I did not want her to go through the trouble (although she insisted it would not be any trouble). She also went out of her way to call the Tampa location and ask if they had that wig in their store. They did, it was in blonde and straight. She asked them to bring it to her store so when I go back I will have the chance to try it on and have a better feel of what it will look like on me. Once I get an idea of the future of my hair and if I do need a wig I will most likely be returning to this store to make the purchase. Sandy made me feel so comfortable and was never once pushy. I was surprised to see that the store was also busy for a rainy weekday! When I felt I had no options Custom Hair has given me hope that I will be able to have a natural look if I need a wig.
