They were previously done in 2001. Larry of Halco attended and gave us the best written quote. It was not the cheapest, but I must say, the best explained. He answered questions and explained what would be done, material to be used and pricing for any new plywood sheets that may need to be replaced. I then saw that they were replacing to roofs on two single family dwellings on a nearby street. I stopped by and watched them work. I was impressed with what they were doing and how they were doing it. When they attended to do ours, they were quick, no loud radio playing and clean-up was excellent. We were both very satisfied with the final finish. We both highly recommend Halco. Remember, not the cheapest, but listen carefully to the quote and explanations of others and I think you'll be impressed. Plus it has a written warranty which is transferable.

We received 4 quotes from different roofers and selected Halco. They were not the lowest quote, but they were not the highest quote either. We chose Halco based on the initial interview, Larry answered all of our questions thoroughly and explained fully what the crew would do. We also had two excellent references. They started on the day they promised and were finished on time, and they did not a have a boom box radio blaring all day as our neighbours did who hired another company. The shingles looked good and are warranted for 50 years. Money was not not required until job was completed. Cleanup was done well, no papers, torn shingles or nails anywhere and no damage to our gardens. We would highly recommend Halco roofing.

The crew left debris everywhere - my yard and my neighbours - shingles, nails etc. Staff were nice until you have to complain about damage and problems - then are terrible. They still have not fixed the damages to both our homes - and probably won't. Save yourself time and effort - go with someone else.

We sent all the related receipts but they decided not to offer any compensation. So new owner but same policy of NOT honoring the warranty. David came an diagnosed the problem and they quoted me $2k to do some caulking, which is a rip off but If it solved the problem I was ok with it. The issue was not solved, water still came into the office. They sent David again, and he diagnosed a different problem this time, and now they want to me to another $2.5k to do more caulking with "no guarantee" that it will fix the problem. The previous $2k were wasted. Whatever you do, do not use these guys.
